Happy 4th of July!! I know I missed the favorites last week, I just didn't have the time to post 'em while buried under all these packing boxes. Sorry about that! I think things are {maybe} under control here packing-wise, so I got it together for your Holiday Weekend Inspiration. :) Enjoy!

Finally Friday Favorites - 06/13/08

Woo hoo! Finally Friday and we closed on our new house today too!! Guess it's a good luck day around here. :) We're not moving for a couple weeks yet - the *previous* owners are renting back until they close on their new place. But at least we're no longer "homeless", LOL. Here's some favorites to check out to kick-start your weekend.

  • Birthday Shaker Card by Maureen. I missed this one in last week's favorites list somehow, but it is good enough to eat!
  • Tuscan Villa by Elyssa. Oh my, she did an amazing job watercoloring, I feel like I'm back in Italy!
  • Happiness Layout by Linsey. Could this even BE cuter!?
  • Baby card by HapEMomE. I think it's the glittery diaper that gets me on this one!

ETA - can you tell I started writing this post and scheduled it on Tuesday before I got so sick? I looked at it this morning in my e-mail from the subscription service and it sounds so upbeat. If only! But the house is definitely a huge deal. Now if I could only get rid of whatever buggies are trying to kill me before we move in that would be good.

  • Adore Layout from Karen Day. Amazing!! Karen is such a talented scrapbooker. I too love the girly stuff -- *sigh*.
  • Blast from the Past by Natasha. Not from this past week, but not to be missed. I wouldn't have thought I would love this color combo - but I do!
  • Make a Big Splash by Amy. Again, a little out of order date-wise, but I don't know how I missed this one last week - CUTE!

Finally Friday Favorites - 05/30/08

Friday already?! Where did the week go? This is not a "yay, Friday!" day for me this week though. My parents are heading home to Florida first thing in the morning {and I mean FIRST thing - it's a 6 AM flight outta here, they're back in the Sunshine State by 11:30 AM}. I am always so unbelievably sad when our visits come to an end, we are very close and always have been - living so far from them is really hard. DS #1 is older now too, and he *knows* now. He's going to be pretty shattered when he wakes up and his Grammy is gone. Anyway, we can't stop the passage of time {right?} so let's end on the up note of Finally Friday Favorites and hope for some weekend stamping inspiration -- before I start to cry.

  • Animal Parade Frame by Chelsey. This is SO CUTE! I need those animal stamps.
  • Happy Hour Graduation Card by Nettie. Love that image.
  • Tiger on Tour by Katharina. Those people at High Hopes know how to make cute animals. What a great mix of vintage and cutesy {contemporary?} images on this one.
  • Dino Pop Up Party by Karen Daley. SHUT UP! What a fabulous idea.
  • Dad Beach Card by Lyn. Love the blues, the card fold, all the beach-themed embellishments.
  • Birdie Notecard Trio by Tosha. These are adorable! All the scallops, the colors, cute fibers - they are all great, I can't even pick a favorite of the three.
  • Train Card by Ana. My DS#1 and my DH are TOTAL train freaks so I am always looking for cute train ideas anyway. But this card ROCKS even if you don't belong to a family of train freaks. heh.
  • Ismaki by Monkia Davis. Gorgeous! Love the colors, layout, image choices, ribbon....
  • Super Son LO by Delia. Delia is the most super amazing scrapper evah! She doesn't know it yet, but I'm going to be sending her a big box of photos of my family...even if she makes me ONE layout I'll be stylin'!

Finally {Friday} Favorites - 05/09/08

Better late than never!! There was SO MUCH great stuff last week I don't know where to begin. Because there are more than usual and I am so late I'm not posting many details or my commentary/opinions {I know you are crying about this -- I'll be back to it for this week I hope!}. So you'll have to go check 'em out and see for yourself why they make the list!

Quite a list, I know. There were some busy stampers out there!

Finally Friday Favorites - 05/02/08

Did you all hear that WEEKEND WHISTLE?! We have another fairly busy one but I feel like I got some creativity back this week -- so fingers crossed for a little stampin' time for me! But I digress...it's Finally Friday - time for some favorites! I know I missed a couple weeks so there may be a few older projects in this post. We're back on track now though.

As always, in no particular order:

  • Margarita card from Cathy Indelicato. What a great image, I'm digging the tall card, and Cathy is the master of the doodle border. I am absolutely green with envy over that last point.

  • Appletini, Anyone? by Jen del Muro. Yes. Appletini ME.
  • Black Tie Wedding by Mustang Sara. There's a bunch of cards in the post but my Favorite is the second one down, the wedding card. That Verve sketch was fabby, wasn't it? And I love B&W for weddings!

Finally Friday Favorites - 04/04/08

TGIF!!! Today was a good day here, 50+ degrees, happy children {for the most part}, I got to get my hair cut and highlighted for the first time since early December {I know!!! I usually go every 6 weeks!}, we got to play outside with the kids and had takeout for dinner. Does it even get any better than that? So for us at least, the week definitely ended on a high note.

On to the Top 10 Favorites of the week....

  • We're Lucky layout from Irene. Just LOOK at the details on this! It's absolutely amazing. Take the time to read the post, she talks about the different elements and what she did in creating this.
  • Dream Dress by Becca Feeken. A new find for me, but what a great card. I really like all the depth to the focal image.
  • Blush Blush Sketch Card from Becky Givans. I like the layout, the sentiment overlay and the way the card is so black & white with a bit of color to draw the eye to the flower. Cool!
  • Bird Card by Lynda Benden. Fabulous coloring job and great layout here. I love all the details - Cuttlebugging, paper piercing, bling, ribbon. It's got everything!
  • Riley Card by Broni Holcombe. He's adorable! Love all the dimension she got onto this card. This was a really good color challenge too.
  • Birthday Cards from Michele Boyer. Love them both, what great layouts and coloring too! These CC Designs images are TOO cute.
  • Swanky Cowboys by Leigh O'Brien. LOVE IT ALL. This is so cute and FUN I could just eat it up.
  • Butterfly Card from Sarah Green. This is so beautiful. Soft colors...so elegant.
  • Sketch Card by Shannan Teubner. I was a big fan of this sketch, and this card is a fantabulous example. I love the image too. And let me just say, I would give a LOT to be able to hand-doodle adorable borders like that!
  • Pirate Card from Ana. This is so so so adorable! The images themselves are great, her coloring is GORGEOUS and the paper colors and eyelets. Love it!

There they are! This week had a LOT of amazing projects - I hope I helped you find some new ones for inspiration. Happy weekend to everyone! I will have some more art for you soon, I promise. I've been working on a lot of stuff. :-)

Finally Friday Favorites - 03/14/08

Yes, I am a day late once again - but with good reason. DH and I went out last night with some friends - the first time out since DS #2 was born!! We had fun but very tired today of course. I had wanted to get this up before we left but didn't have time. Isn't that always the way?

So anyway, here they - this week's Top 10 Finally Friday Favorites - as always, in no particular order:

  • Little Trucks by Maria Levine. So cute - love the bright colors, layout, and all the dry embossed bits.
  • Still Winter by Michelle Zindorf. This card is AMAZING, and Michelle has a tutorial on how she did the mirror image magic.
  • Tag Card by Nichole Heady. As with everything she makes, this is classically elegant. Nichole also provides some step by step instructions and a template.
  • Out of this World by Cambria Turnbow. What a fabulous card for a little boy. I love all the detail from the stars and embossed background to all the dimensional images. Since I had two boys I am always looking for really COOL boy card ideas.
  • Elegant Birthday Wishes by Kelly Sampson. A beautiful card using this week's SCS color challenge, this card as a wonderful layout and so much "extra" - brads, CB embossing, yummy satin ribbon, glitter dots, etc. It's perfect!
  • Basic Pomegranate Double Challenge card by Laura Fredrickson. So yummy! Another with this week's SCS color challenge, this is just so classic - the white base and black ink with grey and pomegranate accents.
  • Girly Girl LO by Erika Martin. This is the most wonderfully girly layout I've seen in a long time. The combination of colors and all the flowers are just perfect with the photo - and the details she put into it is amazing. I can't even describe it, you have to just go look. It makes me want a girl so much!
  • Wild Pomegranates by Beate Johns. Love everything Beate makes, of course, but this one caught my eye especially. I love all the paper piercing and the cardstock circles under the brads - what a great touch!
  • Cherish by Monika Davis. Love the concept of the clear cards that's been floating around the last week or two - and instead of an ENTIRE clear card, just a portion with the main image "floating". They look great! Love the colors Monkia chose on this one too. Great details!
  • Simple Thinking of You by Natasha. Great card - she didn't try to make it too complicated, the design speaks for itself and it really works! I have a very nasty habit of over-analyzing things and making them harder than they need to be. I will be taking a lesson from Natasha on this one because I love this!

There they are! Thanks for stopping, I'll have some art for you later.

Finally Friday Favorites - 03/07/08

It's Finally Friday!!! You know what that means - time for my top ten Friday Favorites for this past week. As always, in no particular order, they are:

  • To Infinity and Beyond from Paula Bloom. What a great card for a little boy. I love her layout and colors. My DS #1 is in love with Toy Story and can be heard shouting this phrase at the top of his lungs randomly throughout the day. I gotta get my hands on some of those images so I can make something like this for him!
  • Glittery Wedding Wishes from Heather at Ink on my Ear. This card is so cute, it's got nice clean layers and is simple and classy. The sparkle makes it AMAZING.
  • Tangy Turquoise from Stacey King. Love this one - fun summer colors, CB embossed acetate (COOL) and faux chipboard. What a great find!
  • Scor-Pal Easter card from Gina K. A tutorial to go along with this one, very cool idea, and I love the layout and colors on this card.
  • Seashells by Faith Hofrichter. Love her coloring, as always, bright colors and the use of the photo with the card design is perfect!
  • Birthday Card from Cathy I. Love the layout, great spring colors and the little extras like sponging and marker highlight really make this classic card pop.
  • Hippo Birthday by Dawn. TOO cute, lots of fun scallops and polka dots to go with this adorable colored hippo image. A definite winner!
  • Mother's Day from Alex Eaton. Beautiful colors and coloring, I love all the dimension on this beautiful card.
  • Hip Hop Hooray by Tammy. Pretty sure that bunny is going to hop right off the card! Kitchen Sink Stamps are on my "if only, if only" list right now until I can find a few extra bucks, and I am wishing hard for them, believe me!! I love the spring colors and the amazing depth she got with all the sponging.
  • Stinkin' Cute from Jackie. This card is so true to it's title! I love it. Absolutely perfect coloring, and all the dimension with the CB and animals... Yum! Great color combo too, I'm writing that one down for future use.

There they are - this week's Top 10! It's always hard to pick just 10 but these all jumped up and down with their hands in the air screaming "pick me!" so go check them out. You won't be disappointed!

Finally Friday Favorites - 2/29/08!

I've been wanting to start doing a weekly "favorite projects I've noted" post for about a month now but never got to it. Things are settling down here so I wanted to start this up. These will be from the last FEW weeks (instead of just this last one) since I have some really great cards stored away in my favorites to direct you to. My top ten Friday Favorites for this...er....month, in no particular order, are:

  • Birthday Whimsey from Scrapnextras. I like the sketch here, and the combo of serious and fun.
  • Green Day by Jody Morrow. So gorgeous I can't stand it. I had to order that Essence of Love set today because of the second card.
  • Black Rock Wedding from Lisa Somerville. SO classy and elegant, this one really caught my eye. Wish I had invited her to my wedding!
  • A Sweet Sketch by Tammy at Stamp Happy. I love the sketch, colors and simple-but-sooo pretty thing going on with this card.
  • Seashell card from Susan and Stampndaly. Photos + stamping + creative details = *swoon*
  • Positively Damask by Leslie Miller. More gorgeous than dozens of complicated cards, this one just screams richness and high society elegance.
  • Silhouette Flowers from Maria at Riacreations. Digging the Cuttlebugging, the color combo and the little "extras" on this one. Great images!
  • Once Upon A Time... by Lauren Meader. As if any Top 10 list in the stamping world is complete without something from Lauren. My only problem was picking just ONE of her projects in recent weeks to include. I really like the way she did the sponging on this one, as if the flowers just sort of fade into greenery, plus the extra embellie flowers. Gotta love the story too, doesn't every Cinderella dream of being rescued from a life of...catching mice?! Lauren, I feel your pain!
  • Nursery Card from Paula Bloom. Just so adorable and perfect. I always enjoy Paula's attention to detail - her layers, embellishments and color choices are wonderful.
  • This Hug's For You by Laurie Schmidlin. Fabulous layout, paper choices and coloring job. This card is just all around cute cute cute!

There you have it! I think this will be a new weekly feature, so check back next week for some more favorites. What better way to celebrate it being FINALLY Friday than with a little weekend inspiration (and pretty pictures!)? :-) Until then, happy stampin' everyone!
