Penny's #287: Christmas in July

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's week is going well! So many Christmas in July challenges going on, and it is going to be a heat index of 100F here today! LOL, not feeling super Christmassy, I gotta say....

But that's ok, because we love our crafting, and if it means sitting in the AC and thinking Christmas thoughts, hey...whatever works! ;) So let's get on with the new challenge this week over at Penny's Challenge!  This week's sponsors are Star Stampz and The Stamping Boutique. Here is my project, featuring "Mail Girl" from TSB! I really like this sweetie, that bold oval border is excellent, and I love a chance to add sparkly snow to things!!

My little one is colored up with Copics, and all the furry parts were done with white Sparkly Fluff and a Quickie Glue Pen. I added Stardust Stickles to the snowflakes and the edge of the snow, along with the edge of my "cloud" snow border at the base. Dies from Lawn Fawn and Gina Marie. Paper from DCVW box 'o scraps, lol.

I'm entering this into Paper ala Mode's Christmas in July this week at Outlawz.

Creative Knockouts #132: Die Cuts/Punches!

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  For my second post today, I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#132) where the challenge is....Die Cuts or Punches! This week's sponsor is The Stamping Boutique, and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring "Poppies". Aren't they beautiful? I added a spotlight die and border die in the middle of the image to help REALLY make it pop.

I used my clear Spica AtYou glitter pens over the top of the poppies on this project. It's subtle, so of course in a picture it's a bit hard to see.  I tried taking another photo at an angle to help with that. I also added glitter to the sparkles surrounding the flowers (loose Diamond Dust glitter and a Quickie pen).

Here is my project, featuring "Peek A Boo Penguin" from TSB. Isn't it sweet!? Perfect for this week's theme...and the looming holiday season!

It's hard to see but the banner layer is a glittery gold and aqua paper, and I put glitter on the snowflakes inside the ornament. 

I followed some challenges, here are the graphics for the ones that have them (Cupcake Inspirations #338-Colors and Viva la Verve November #1). His hat is navy, in case you couldn't tell from the photo :)
