Imagine That Digistamp - May Challenge: Mid-Month Inspiration!

Good morning my dear stamping friends! I'm here today to share some inspiration for Imagine That Digistamp's "First Thursday" Challenge. That's right, the challenge is now monthly, on the ITD blog, complete with prizes!! The challenges start the first Thursday of each month and end on the last Tuesday before the new challenge begins. The theme is always Anything Goes. Click here for all the details.

On the first and third Thursdays of each month, there will be a new inspiration post on the Creative Playground blog featuring the Design Team's projects. This is great to get your fix of ITDBK DT project postings!

Today I've created a fun card using the Ladybug Boots/Daisies Planter digi set. The set contains black and white and color images, plus sentiments. I printed it out and colored by hand using Copic markers. My papers are not digital this time around, but are from an old paper pad I had from Fun Stampers Journey. I really loved these colors - they are so fun & bright - summery and happy! I've had some photo inspiration from The Card Concept as well - they have a mosaic this week that really reminded me of the flowers in this backing papers - the shape and also the colors were perfect with the color scheme of the photo inspiration (below). The photo really grabbed me and when I was digging for some flowery/summer looking papers, these jumped into my hands. Perfect!

Die from Gina Marie, my favorite and go-to place to get dies (Wonky Stitched Rectangle dies) - great quality and low prices, woohoo! The main image was cut with Distressed Edge Rectangle die set from Kat Scrappiness. The sentiment is from the digi set, and I added some pretty blue Nuvo Drops all around for a little extra dazzle.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Aud Sentiments - #227: Summer (1/5)
Addicted to Stamps & More - #341: AG
Crafty Gals Corner - #191: May Flowers (1/3)
Sisterhood of Crafters - Flowers (1/3)
The Card Concept - #115: Mosaic (text description and photo inspiration located above)

That's it for me today! Be sure to check out the Creative Playground for more ITDBK inspiration.

Time for Tea Designs - Bee Happy {Birthday}

Happy Tuesday friends! Are you ready for your weekly dose of inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? I know I am! Don't forget that you can (and should) play along in our monthly challenge, for your chance to win free digis! Everyone loves free digis, am I right? The theme for our challenge is Anything Goes. My favorite! It's so easy to enter - just make something using your Time For Tea Designs images and post them! Today's project features more of the new release stamps that you saw last week - Butterflies and Bees stamps, matching dies, stencils, and also a stand alone die set that coordinates with each collection! They've only been out for a little over a week, and they sold out in a matter of hours when Jo was on Create & Craft TV demo'ing them!

I went really outside the box with this card, and I LOVE how it turned out! I've stamped the tree branch from the Bee Happy set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored it with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. I created the rainbow effect for my happy birthday sentiment, and then added the "to a sweet friend" from the same stamp set. I created the background using the Cloud stencil from the collection, and eyeballed the grassy hills using Copics and the last layer of the cloud stencil as my guide. The best part about this card was creating this fun & colorful button tree! All the buttons are from my stash - drawers and drawers of buttons {mostly} sorted by color. I know...you don't have to say it! But: look what it led to - this super fun and happy Happy Birthday card! ;)

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Lemon Shortbread - #93: AG (1/3)
TTCRD - AG (1/2)

Polkadoodles' Digi Choosday - Week #20: Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I hope your day is off to a great start. If it's not, it CAN be - it's Choosday over at Polkadoodles! That means a new Digi Choosday challenge, and a new DISCOUNT CODE for the Polkadoodles shop! Head over to the blog to grab it before your shopping spree!

Today's challenge is, as always, Anything Goes!

For today, I've created a Good Luck card for my kiddo, who's participating in a piano recital/competition in a few weeks. It was an optional thing his teacher offered him, as he qualified with high marks in the local competition in March. He wasn't too keen on it at first, and we let him decide to do this next level or not. In the end he chose to go for it, so I've bought him a music book of "The Music of Video Games" as a special treat for going above and beyond. I'll give him this card along with the book!

To start with, I printed out these great background papers from Work & Play 8 - Piano onto cardstock. I also printed my Piano Boy image and sentiments from Winnie Celebrations 2. I colored him up with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. Fishtail BannerVenetian Rectangle and Mini Music Notes dies from Gina Marie Designs. The tag top die is from Sizzie and the ribbons and cords are all from my hoard of SU ribbons. Various layers are popped up with foam tape - thickness 1/16" up to 3/16".

That's it for my project details! Don't forget to head over to the blog to grab today's discount code! Then shop your heart out. Choosday is the best day!

Polkadoodles' - Winnie MerMazing: Best Friends

This weekend we are getting some much needed Vitamin SEA with the debut of the new Winnie Mer-Mazing Mermaid collection! Each of the 6 new digital stamps is available in black and white and/or color, and there's also an AMAZING VALUE big bundle that features all of the images, 6 coordinating digital papers, and 11 mermaid sentiments! You can see the big bundle HERE.

For my first project share today, I've used the image Best Friends. Oh my heart...they are the sweetest! I think this might be my favorite image from the collection...or at the very least, tied for first with Kisses.

Here's the full view of the card. I've paired her with a sentiment and several of the papers from the Big Bundle. It's a super value, and I highly recommend it! The papers are so rich and vibrant - just gorgeous.

I've colored the image with Copic markers, and added clear Wink of Stella here and there for a little extra fun. I went really funky and bold with the colors in her hair - I think it turned out pretty cool. If you're going to be a mermaid, you can pretty much rock any style you want, am I right?! ;) I've used the Fanciful Circles nested die set to cut out my main image. The layered paper flowers are all from Prima and the gem in the middle is from Eyelet Outlet. The dry embossing folders on the solid cardstock layers are both older Cuttlebug ones, and the scalloped oval is Sizzix. Washi tape in the way back is from Dollar Tree and the lace is from my stash. Tons and tons of foam squares on here to pop up each and every layer to a different height for texture and depth.

I'm entering this into the following challenges -

Artistic Inspirations - #215: AG (unlimited)

A Perfect Time to Craft - #5: AG (unlimited)
Classic Design Team Challenge - #4: AG (unlimited)

The blue highlights in her hair were done with a Nuvo glitter pen and a turquoise fine line pen from Arteza. I've also used the Fanciful Circles nested die set on the backing paper. The old treasure map-shaped Kraft cardstock is a distressed-edge rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness - I dry embossed it with a Tim Holtz/Sizzix folder from the paper airplane duo. Ok...the rest of the original post-

Today's project features more of the new release stamps, dies and stencils that dropped yesterday. These are available exclusively from Create & Craft TV. I've used stamps and dies from the Butterflies collection, along with the lovely script sentiment from the stand alone die set Scalloped Frames & Script to create this cutaway shaker card. There are SO many foam squares on this project, it sits about 1/2" tall! I couldn't help myself :D

I've stamped the butterfly and flower from the all-new stamp set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To create the shaker feature, I used Peekaboo Square die set from Gina Marie Designs on my SU Shimmer White cardstock panel. I made the box using foam tape and acetate, and the shaker mix is from Craftin' Desert Divas. I stamped the sentiment onto Shimmer white and cut it out with a flag banner die from Paper Smooches. All the elements are popped up on foam dots at varying heights. I dry embossed the background panel underneath the shaker box with a Tim Holtz paper airplane/dotted line embossing folder.
