Cute N Crafty #11 - Fall!

Happy Monday lovelies! Are you enjoying the FALL? It's been up and down here - a bit too chilly, too warm, too wet. I hope it evens out so we can enjoy it a bit more before icky winter comes!

I am here today to share my second project created as a Guest Designer at the Cute N Crafty challenge. So fun, right? Tabitha asked me to join her and the rest of the wonderful ladies for a couple of challenges, so here I am! The challenges run for 2 weeks, this challenge's theme is Fall or Halloween. Check it out!

Here's my card, featuring Scarecrow from Cute N Crafty Mommy's etsy store. Perfect for fall!

Colored up with Copics, of course! The leaf brad is The Paper Studio, papers are from a FSJ pad I got awhile back, Gina Marie Designs die, and Dress It Up leaf buttons. Cheesecloth that I stained with coffee, foam tape, Mono Multi glue, and viola!

Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to check out the challenge; and have a stampy day!

Penny's Challenge #400 & Polkadoodles - Winnie Heavenly: Snowman

Good morning all my lovelies! Welcome to another Penny's Challenge. This week our challenge Sponsors are Pattie's Creations and Polkadoodles. Great sponsors with fantastic prizes for you, so don't forget to link up!

Do you love all of the Christmas beauty you've been seeing from Polkadoodles! Yes! And the latest additions are wonderful high quality CLEAR POLYMER STAMPS! Yes, you read that right, these are physical stamps, not digis.

Now, you know I love my digis, but sometimes it is nice to have a REAL stamp that you can get inky and creative with. I agree! Here's my next inspiration project for the release, featuring the adorable Snowman stamp set. I really do love all of these, and this is one of my favorites. Second only to Wrap it Up, I think. Too hard to choose! These sets are selling fast, so if you're loving them, don't wait! You can see them all HERE.

I've gone with Kraft cardstock again, just to change things up. I colored Winnie with Prismacolor pencils, and added some sparkle to her outfit with a Kiriana Wink pen in gold. I've layered several Fanciful Snowflake die cuts beneath her, and doodled around the edges of the oval image piece. I used a tag from the Magical Christmas Topper pack, and stamped over the top with a sentiment from the Winter Wishes clear set. I also stamped some snowflakes and dots from Snowflake Garden on the aqua layer in the same color ink. I sprayed some gold mica spray on the red panel before I assembled the card, to mirror her outfit.

Thanks for stopping by. I, along with the rest of the release team, will be sharing LOTS of heavenly inspiration for you for the rest of the day and through tomorrow. Stay tuned, and join us on Facebook up to date info!

Polkadoodles - Winnie Heavenly CLEAR STAMPS: Deer-est Friends

Good afternoon all my lovelies!

I agree! Here's my next inspiration project for the release, featuring the adorable Deer-est Friends stamp set. I am so amazed by all the stamps in this release - look how sweet these two are. This image rounds out my Top 3 for this release I think...but wow those are some hard choices because they are all just gorgeous. These sets are selling fast, so if you're loving them, don't wait! You can see them all HERE.

I created a fun winter sky background for this card, and I'm really wishing I had done a tutorial for it! I really like how it turned out. I used Distress Oxide inks, some masking, a lot of elbow grease, and a Kiriana wink pen in white for the stars after I got the Distress Oxide action going with the ink. The snowy hills are die cuts and I've added Stickles to her wings and the tops of the hills. They're put together with lots of foam tape layers for extra dimension. The trees in the background are stamped in the Black Soot oxide ink from the Winter Flurries stamp set. Little Miss and her deer friend are watercolored using watercolor pencils and a paint brush. I'm still really, REALLY working on improving my watercoloring...I've got a ways to go, but sometimes it's nice to dabble in other media when you're creating!

Thanks for stopping by. I will have one more card to share with you tomorrow to cap off this release blitz. Stay tuned, and join us on Facebook up to date info!

Polkadoodles - Winnie Heavenly: Shining Star

Good morning all my lovelies!

I agree! Here's my next inspiration project for the release, featuring the adorable Shining Star stamp set. I really love all the offerings from this release, Nikky did such a lovely job creating these gorgeous girls. They are so versatile too - this could work well for Easter, thinking of you, confirmation cards, etc. Lots of options! Remember the halo and star are separate stamps, so you can mix and match and change the look a bit in order to suit your needs. These sets are selling fast, so if you're loving them, don't wait! You can see them all HERE.

My papers, paper flowers, and the sentiment brad/embellishment are all from Octavia Frosted Winter. Perfect colors, I really wanted to create one project with these in more of a dark aqua color scheme, so here she is!

I've colored Winnie with Copics, and added some sparkle to her halo with a platinum Gelly Roll pen. There are Stickles on her wings, so much shine. I've layered several paper flowers from the Octavia Frosted Winter collection, along with my sentiment center. The star she's looking at is a rhinestone embellishment, the original stamp got lost in the paper so I went this route instead due to my card's layout. I cut the oval shadow box frame with my Gina Marie Designs dies and placed my colored image behind with lots of foam tape for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by. I, along with the rest of the release team, will be sharing LOTS of heavenly inspiration for you for the rest of the day and through tomorrow. Stay tuned, and join us on Facebook up to date info!
