Loves Rubberstamps #153: Favorite Beverage with Impression Obsession!

Good morning stampers! It's Tuesday, and that means a new challenge is up over at the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog! Challenge #153: Coffee/Tea/Favorite Beverage. There are prizes to be won, so get out your toys and play along with us!

Here is my creation for today's challenge, using this awesome image from Impression Obsession. I have several of these fantastic and clever martini stamps, and I was so happy to see them for this beverage challenge! They have been under-utilized, and I NEED to fix that. If you haven't seen them, you NEED to check them out.  IO has some really fantastic images, and my folder of IO pretties is sitting out on my stamp table now! Be ready for more, my friends!

This is my...lounging-on-a-white-sand-beach-with-a-nice-breeze-and-lots-of-sunshine-and-waves-sipping-umbrella-(or birthday candle!!!)-drinks card. Striped towel, glittery, sparkly water... :)

Supplies:

Copic Markers (love 'em ALL!)
Mono Multi (of course!)

Challenges:
Impression Obsession - Ocean Breezes (beachy colors and beachy feel {well, I think so}!)
Pile it on - #70: Coffee, Wine or Adult Beverage

I also used Viva la Verve sketch #4 for May, and combined the DRS Designs color challenge with these summer fun colors (#175):

Thanks for stopping by today, I can't wait to see your creations for our sentiments challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog! I'll see you back here very soon with another great project to share. Happy stamping!

Start of Summer SHOWCASE: Blog Hoppin' with JessicaLynnOriginal!

Good morning!! I hope your holiday weekend is off to a great beginning!

Welcome to the Start of Summer Design Team Showcase Blog Hop created by the JessicaLynnOriginal.com June 2015 - January 2016 Design Team! Today we are featuring projects using the new Brentwood Owl's Summertime Fun digital stamp to showcase and introduce our members! This fun stamp captures that summer vacation or holiday feel, and can be used in so many ways. Put your feet up and grab a cool drink to sip as you travel along the hop, getting inspired by the different takes from each of our designers. If you are coming from Wiebke's blog, then you are in the right place!

I have been a huge fan of Brentwood for years, I was actually on the first ever JessicaLynnOriginal.com DT way back when. And now I'm so thrilled to be back!

So...enough about me...let's get to the real reason you are here - some Brentwood inspiration! Here is my release hop project:

Isn't he adorable? I had so much fun playing with him this week. Some of the details are a bit hard to see, here is a closeup of the main image panel:

You may not be able to tell, but that is REAL BEACH SAND under Brentwood's feet. Mhm! :) Just seeing it makes me happy - I love the beach. REAL beaches....the ocean. Kinda tough for me being landlocked...  I made the cloud background using a template. Brentwood is colored with Copics. Papers from BasicGrey (of course).

This card layout is a sketch - Viva la Verve for May, week #3. Here it is:

What's a hop without a PRIZE?!? Well, it's not a JessicaLynnOriginal.com hop, I can tell you that much. ;) Let me know what you think of my card, this new Brentwood digi, or maybe let me know your FAVORITE beach (in the comments below). Comment on each of the blogs along the hop and you will be eligible to win a $25 gift certificate to the JessicaLynnOriginal.com store. After the hop Jessica will randomly select a winner and announce it on her blog on Sunday, May 24th.

Next up in the hop is Christina's blog, where she has more fantastic summer love to share with you.

Thanks for visiting with us! If you get lost along the way, or a link doesn't work, click HERE to get the full listing and find your way. Happy stamping...and happy hopping! Good luck in the draw my friends :)

Simply Papercraft #5

TGIF crafters! I have had a very nice but BUSY week with kiddo end of school year stuff, awards, competitions, field trips....plus house and work and all that jazz too. BUT I did get in some great crafting time, and today I'm sharing a new card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! Makes it easy and fun to combine challenges and really show off your best work. This week's challenge is "Clean and Simple (CAS) and is sponsored by DeeDee's Digis and Jiggery Makery. As always, fantastic prizes are up for grabs! Free stamps? Yes please!

I used this cute cute cute image from the set Right on Track from DeeDee's Digis. My little guy LOVES all things even remotely associated with trains so I knew this had to be made into a little boy's birthday card ASAP!

This card uses the current sketch from Sketch Saturday (#361) and the current color combo from the Color Throwdown (#CTD343). Perfect for boy cards!! Here are the inspiration pieces:

Other challenges for today:
Seize the Birthday - 5/21/15: Anything Goes
Little Red Wagon - #290: To Die For (all die cuts on this card except background layers)
DoubleClick Skittles - #22: Birthday
Melonheadz Friends - All About Kids

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to link up your lovelies on the Simply Papercraft blog for your chance to win! Stop back tomorrow first thing to take the JessicaLynnOriginal.com blog hop to meet the new Design Team and kick off summer! Until then, stamp happy!

Creative Knockouts #90: Sentimentally Yours!

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start. This morning I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#90) where the challenge is....Sentimentally Yours!  This week's sponsor is The Stamping Boutique, and oh yes, there is a prize to be won!

I printed this awesome Chemistry Set and colored with Copics. I created the sentiment using Photoshop and various fonts from Kevin and Amanda's Fonts for Peas collection. I chose this bright paper from Basic Grey since I decided to make this a love/anniversary/wedding card. Using a non-traditional fun/clever/witty/nerd sentiment, I thought it really needed a bright look to it rather than the more classic "wedding look" (which I also love, btw). I added a little bit of sparkle to some of the bubbles with a glittery gold gel pen. It didn't really show up in the photo, here's a closeup of the main image:

This is such an awesome nerd image (I AM a nerd, and plenty proud of it!). I would have gone crazy with love and excitement if I had received this as a wedding card, hehe! :) {No, I am NOT kidding}

Lots of dimension to this piece, I used foam tape to pop up the various layers. This card follows the May Viva la Verve sketch for week 3.

Ok, I always say this, but I really like this sketch!! Simple and classic but so many options to fancy it up! I actually made 2 cards with it, you will see the second one on Saturday with a BIG design team blog hop from JessicaLynnOriginal.com! Make sure you are back here on Saturday because there's a great prize up for grabs.

That's it for me today! Don't forget to swing over to the Creative Knockouts blog to link up your "Sentimentally Yours" projects for your chance to win with The Stamping Boutique! My DT sisters have created some beautiful inspiration, so leave them some love too!

Challenges:

The Stamping Boutique - #75: Die Cuts or Punches (Sentiment is a flag die cut + used Nesties)
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - #10: Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination - #34: Anything Goes
Little Red Wagon - #290: To Die For (Sentiment is a flag die cut and I actually used rectangle Nesties on the main image since I printed a full sheet - that's kinda boring though, hehe!)
Penny's Papercrafty - #228: Anything Goes (entry 1 of 3)
Sentimental Sundays - #259: Funny or Cute Sentiment
Open Minded Challenge - #36: Wedding or Anniversary (This is a wedding/anniversary card if I have ever made one!)
Craft Your Passion - #262: Anything Goes
Suzy Bee's Bloomin' Challenge - #80: Anything Goes with a Twist of Pink (Pink sentiment panel for POP!)

I'll be back here tomorrow with a new challenge from Simply Papercraft. So many awesome upcoming challenges and fun events! Stamp happy!

I had some awesome inspiration for this card - I used Viva la Verve sketch #2 for May, along with the color challenge from The Male Room this week (#10). I always love a good sketch and/or color challenge! Especially sketches. Something about working within the constraints of the layout - my favorite kind! Here are the pieces:

Bo Bunny Paper
Blending Cardstock
Memento Ink
Buttons
Mono Multi (of course!)
Red Liner Tape
Dimensional Foam Dots

Colored cardstock from Stampin' Up!

Wags 'n Whiskers #154: Lots of Layers

Hello and Happy Friday! Wow, another week has just flown by around here. But all good things, the kids are staying busy, the weather is GORGEOUS and of course got in some stamping time!

Today we are bringing you a new challenge over at Wags 'n Whiskers. Who doesn't love LAYERS?! We want to see LOTS and LOTS of layers this time around! Don't forget, there are FREE STAMPS up for grabs! Bring on the floral fantasy with your lovely creations, and link up on the W'nW blog post!

Here is my card, using the image "Buddy's Balloon". You can find all of the available images in the Wags 'n Whiskers shop. This sentiment is from Verve Stamps

Don't you love the balloon tied to his cute little tail?? This is one of my all-time favorite Wags 'n Whiskers images :)

I used Viva la Verve's May sketch #2 for this card, along with the ColourQ for this week (#291). Here are the inspiration pieces:

Loves Rubberstamps #151: Add A Sentiment

Good morning stampers! It's Tuesday, and that means a new challenge is up over at the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog! Challenge #151: Add A Sentiment. Doesn't get much easier than that! There are prizes to be won, so get out your toys and play along with us! This week's sponsor is Lacy Sunshine - I *adore* her images! Someone is going to be very happy after this challenge week!

Here is my creation for today's great challenge, using this pretty silhouette flower arrangement from PPRS. I thought the main image panel was a bit too bare, so I changed my plan for the sentiment and added it directly to the blush layer above the flowers.

Supplies:

Challenges:
Verve May Inspiration Challenge - Let It Bloom
Come and Get It - Got Flowers?
Eureka Stamps - #140: Flowers
Great Impressions - Celebrate Spring
Digi Chooseday - #19: Flower Power
Fan-Tastic Tuesday - #85: AG w/Twist of Flowers
Crafting From The Heart - #59: Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - #261: Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by today, I can't wait to see your creations for our sentiments challenge over at the Loves Rubberstamps challenge blog! I'll see you back here very soon with another great project to share. Happy stamping!

Here is my creation for today! I have always been a huge fan of Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, and since they are carried in the Loves Rubberstamps store - well, what a great excuse to pull them out and play!

The photo didn't really show the background and the glitter shine I added to all the silhouette flowers that weren't colored with Copics, so I took another that was zoomed in to the right side of the image to show a little bit of that sparkle.

Supplies:
Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps - Floral Garden
Copic Markers (love 'em ALL!)
Zig Clear Glitter Marker
Bo Bunny Paper
Blending Cardstock
Memento Ink
Button
Mono Multi (of course!)
Red Liner Tape
Dimensional Foam Dots
DCWV Glitter Stack scraps

I had some awesome inspiration for this card - I used the current Mojo Monday sketch (#396) after I flipped it on its side, along with the color challenge from the Color Throwdown this week (#341). Here are the pieces:

Fun, right? These are my two favorite challenge types, so I'm just thrilled to get them in this week during my stampin' sanity time!
