365 Cards - Sparkle & Shine

TGIF!  I really do need closure on this week!  And what better way to end things, than with 365 Cards?  It's Day 60 today, and our theme is Sparkle & Shine -- use a glittery background on your card, either store-bought paper or created yourself!  You know I loves the glittah!

Here's my card:

I used glittery BG paper from Die Cuts With A View.  I also used glittery rhinestone-center flowers from Petaloo.  Paper from Basic Grey (of course).

Thanks for stopping by today!  Get with the glitter, and I will see you linked up over at the 365 Cards Challenge!

PWC151 - Paper Piercing

Hi Friends and Happy Wednesday!  Are you ready for a new Prettie challenge??  This week is PWC151 - Paper Piercing.  I was excited to see this since I've been piercing a lot lately.  Not sure why.  Just in a stabby mood??  Heehee!  Here's mine:

I used Fun Quotes today, and some paper from Reminisce.  The flower is a big Prima that I colored with lots of different Copics to get the rainbow effect.  I just love this sentiment.  I have a couple other cards made with it too, all stashed up for later blogging.  :)

Be sure to check out the Paper Pretties blog for full details of this week's challenge.  You link up THERE for your chance to win!

Day 53 - Ad Inspired

TGIF!  I really do need closure on this week!  And what better way to end things, than with 365 Cards?  It's Day 53 today, and we are Ad Inspired.  This week's sponsor is Digital Delights.  Super cute!

Here's my project, featuring their adorable Chef Luigi.  I made him about 3 inches tall for this card, colored with Copics.

Isn't he cute?  I love his big mustache, too much fun!

Here is the inspiration piece I chose.  I knew I wanted to work with the Chef image, so I searched around for some ad graphics that would depict that.  I saw this one and just loved it!  It's actually from Victoria's Secret, but they look like cupcakes.  And the colors were wonderful -- perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Get inspired, and I hope we see you playing along over at the 365 Cards Challenge!

Hi Friends and Happy Wednesday!  I wanted to share with you the Paper Pretties' Prettie Wednesday Challenge for this week!  PWC150 - use Pink, Green and a neutral of your choice on cards this week.  Love it!!!  I actually use pink and green a lot.

I used Unknown Blessings for my main image (currently on sale for $12 EZ Mounted rubber!!).  The sentiment is from Love Fairy Anna.  I was looking back - I use this sentiment ALL time time!  Love it.  All the Paper Pretties sets are so versatile with fabulous sentiments.  I use them on EVERYTHING!

Be sure to check out the Paper Pretties blog for full details of this week's challenge.  You link up THERE for your chance to win!

Cardabilities - Sketch #29

*This is my second post today!  Please scroll down for today's 365 Cards project*

Happy Friday (again!).  I am very excited about this post, as it marks my very first project for the Cardabilities Design Team!  It has been a pleasure to get to know the girls on the team, and I know that I'm in the company of some SERIOUS talent here.  Add to that - the sketches that Karan creates will BLOW you AWAY!  This is going to be an amazing DT experience!

But enough about ME!  How about a card (click photo to see the full size version)?  ;)

And of course, the fantastic sketch (Sketch #29):
Do you LOVE IT??  I love it!  You can make this as CAS or as dolled-up and embellished as you'd like, there are infinite possibilities with this sketch.  I can't wait to see what YOU create!

To make sharing our Cardabilities/Sketchabilities projects even easier, with this Sketch #29 DT reveal this morning, we are so, SO excited to launch our very own Gallery!!  Here you will find the sketches, the DT projects, and we also want to see our Members' projects too!!  And just a tip...should you happen to upload a creation using one of our sketches to the new Gallery, YOU could be selected to be our next Guest Designer!  I know, right?!

This project features patterned paper from Basic Grey (LilyKate) and stamps from Paper Pretties.  This is a brand new set, just released on Wednesday called Inspirational Quotes.  My new favorite!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great Friday and an even better weekend!

365 Cards - Fancy Folds Week

TGIF!  Hope that everyone is off to a good start this Friday, and looking forward to the weekend.  I know I am!  Friday around here means a new challenge from 365 Cards, which is always so much fun!  This week our sponsor is the Stamping Boutique, and our theme is Fancy Folds!  Yay!  For my project I chose to do an Easel Card.  I love these!  They are so fun and EASY yet they look fabulously cool.

This super-adorable image is a digi called "Flower Cart".  This view shows the card open, when it's closed, the top half lies flat right on top of the bottom layer.  To open, it folds back and is held up by the brad placed in the bottom panel.  I didn't think to take a "closed" photo, but you can see what I mean if you check out the tutorial on SCS.

My image is colored with Copic markers, and cut out with Nestabilities.  The paper and brad are from Basic Grey.  The ribbon is May Arts (white) and Offray (blue).  That AWESOME sentiment is from the newly-released Paper Pretties set, Inspirational Quotes.  I'm pretty sure this is my new favorite set, I've made 4 cards with it this week and I love them ALL!!  It was just released yesterday at the Paper Pretties Boutique so go check it out for yourself!

Check back later this morning for my debut sketch project for the Cardabilities Design Team!

Prettie Preview - Inspirational Quotes

It's that time again!  Let's show off the new Pretties coming your way TOMORROW over at the Paper Pretties Boutique.  Today's preview is of Inspirational Quotes.  Love these!  Great for a pick me up/thinking of you card, just because, graduation, congratulations...so many reasons!

I stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black, then cut out with Nestabilities.  The paper is new Basic Grey, and the corner element is my favorite; Glitter Dots from the Prettie Boutique.  I stamped the butterflies on some scraps of Basic Grey and cut them out.  Pretty simple card but a nice, elegant-yet-fun set for your collection!

365 Cards - Day 39

TGIF!  Hope that everyone is off to a good start this Friday, and looking forward to the weekend.  I know I am!  Friday around here means a new challenge from 365 Cards, which is always so much fun!  This week our sponsor has been Heartsong Designs, such a lovely name for a company.  Pam's challenge for today is to make a card inspired by the sponsor.  Here is my card:

Isn't he the cutest lil' bird??  I just love him, as soon as I saw him I said "that's my image for the week!".  He just makes my heart SING!  My parents are big birders so this image just makes me smile.  On top of that, it makes me think of SPRING, which we so desperately need here.  On Sunday it's projected to be 73 degrees, so keep a good thought for us here in Wisconsin that we get there!  I am going to end up sinking back into the winter "blah's" if we don't!

I hope you're inspired from the heart to play along with us, you can link up on the 365 Cards blog so we can all check out your creations.  Happy stamping!

PWC148 - Sketchy Snowflakes

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! I bet you are!  If you play along with us you could WIN!   Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details!

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC148) it's another amazing sketch from our own Prettie Girl, Frances!  You know I love a good sketch.  To play along, just make a card using our awesome sketch, then link up on the Paper Pretties Blog to enter.  Here is my contribution using this sweet snowflake sentiment.  I know it's SUPPOSED to be spring, but it doesn't feel it here so I used some of my new-this-year-but-untouched Kaisercraft patterned paper, along with this sentiment.  (I flipped the sketch).

I was having trouble downloading the sketch to add to this post, so I will add it in the morning.  In the meantime, check out the Paper Pretties blog for full details of this week's challenge.  You link up THERE for your chance to win!

The preview fun continues tomorrow, and I will also have a new Prettie Wednesday Challenge for you!  See you then!

365 Cards - APRIL FOOLS'!

TGIF!!  Gotta love the end of the week, right??  Friday is good, and April is good too -- it's finally here!  Of course you wouldn't know it from the temps outside here in Wisconsin, but we remain hopeful that spring will show up soon.

So, happy April Fools' Day from the 365 Cards challenge!  Today, Day 32, Pam was looking for a joke or a very silly sentiment.  How fitting!!

Ooh, ooh, and also, we have a fabulous sponsor this week, Digi Doodle Shop!  I used an image from the Fun With Shoes 1 collection for my card today.  The sentiment is computer-generated, although I admit I stole it from MFT.  I *really* enjoy the sentiments in that set, I really do need it....

Honestly, you can't go wrong with glittery pomegranate-colored shoes, can you?!?  Love this new Basic Grey paper too, of course.  I thought this would be a great "girlfriend" card.  Thanks for the ideas Pam!  I hope you're inspired to play along with us too, you can link up on the 365 Cards blog so we can all check out your creations.  Happy stamping!
