PWC84 - Who's Got the {Note}Book?

Good morning! It's Wednesday already, Paper Pretties day!! We have a new blog hop and challenge each week! Full details on the challenge can always be found on The Paper Clip.

We would love for you to ink up your Paper Pretties stamps and play along with us! This week we were challenged to alter a notebook. Here is mine:

This is actually a little cut-down cutie legal pad inside a DVD tin. I bought a dozen or so of these on SCS, oh.....had to be.....2 years ago. HAHAHAHA! Now I have finally used one! Anyone else have that hoarding sickness? Is there going to be an Apocalypse and I'll need a dozen notebooks in tins? Well, you never can tell....

Here's the inside. I didn't decorate, but you can see that it is a notebook! I am going to use this to try to keep myself organized. We can take bets on how long it'll last. ;-) I'll give good odds.

Ok, here are the challenge details for you -

How to Enter: Make a card following the challenge guidelines with any Paper Pretties stamps. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC84.
Deadline: 6 PM EST Tuedsay, January 5th.
Prize: $15.00 coupon to the
Paper Pretties Boutique.

That's it for me! You can head over to The Paper Clip when you're through here for more info and inspiration. Or, if you are just starting the hop here at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning.

TIOT48 - Bling It On!

It's Tuesady!! Do you love it?! We have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design for you today! This week's challenge (TIOT48 calls for BLING!!!! Aside from sketch challenges, challenges to add BLING are my most favorite things! LOL. For today's card I used one of the new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images from the Sampler Edition #2. All kinds of bling are welcome so get it out and play along!

I stamped her in
Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. After she was colored up, I cut her out with Long Rectangle Nesties, layered, and put together the mats. The rest is all patterned paper and bling (and patterned paper with bling!) I used some metallic gold Robin's Nest Dew Drops/Tear Drops on the corners, they are perfect with these colors and papers. She is FABULOUS, another gorgeous girl from the minds of Elisabeth and Susana!

I used this week's Copic Colour Challenge (#43) for this card, as well as Mercy's Tuesday Sketch (well, now I guess it's LAST week's sketch since it's Tuesday already!! #51). Great sketch Mercy, thank you for the inspiration!

Be sure to check out the
SCACD store blog for lots more inspiration from this week's challenge! Oh, and don't forget, selected Spellbinders are on sale over at her shop in the Specials section - great deals to be had and once they are gone, they are gone so get yours!

I just have a shortie post today because I am racing around to finish up Christmas. What happened to December?? Anyway, I created this birthday happy using the Happy Birthday Lamb set. So cute!! I also went with this week's Mojo Monday sketch (#117). You know I love the amazing Julee's sketches each week and this one is just classic! It fit right with what I wanted to create for today's birthday card so it was win-win!

Your last stop on today's hop is birthday girl Kristy! Make sure you leave her some love on her blog. I will see you back here later for Try it Out Tuesday, and tomorrow for a new Prettie Wednesday Challenge (and that surprise and *possible* sale I mentioned on Sunday!) We are busy! Stick with us!

Have a wonderful day - stay warm (hey, I live in Wisconsin).

The main circle and the cut out elf are both up on dimensionals.

Picking pumpkins in October in Wisconsin has the potential to be COLD, as you can see! TIOT47 - Fancy a Fold?

It's Tuesady!! Do you love it?! We have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design for you today! This week's challenge (TIOT47) calls for a fancy fold card featuring the newest Elisabeth Bell for SCACD image line, Sampler Edition #2. Any type of fold will do this week so be creative!

For today's challenge I chose to make an easel card. These were all the rage a few weeks back and I didn't get around to making one then, so I'm all over it today! What a fun idea this card concept is. If you click the link above you can find the instructions for this type of fold/card.

I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. After she was colored up, I cut her out, along with some Classic Oval Nesties to use for mats. The rest is all patterned paper (Basic Grey OF COURSE) and bling! I used a BG brad for the base of the easel and lots of Kaisercraft rhinestones to decorate the front. She is FABULOUS, one of my latest favorites from the amazingly talented minds of Elisabeth and Susana!

Be sure to check out the SCACD store blog for lots more inspiration from this week's challenge! Oh, and don't forget, Susana has another new product in -- the latest colors and mixes of Bella Embellishments! Love those little guys, they add so much so fast to any project and the new mixes are yummers!

AND selected Spellbinders are on sale over at her shop in the Specials section - great deals to be had and once they are gone, they are gone so get yours!

PWC80 - A Wedding Sketch

We would love for you to ink up your Paper Pretties stamps and play along with us! This week we have a sketch from Frances. Yay!! Sketches are my favorite!

What a fun one! I decided to use this gorgeous new wedding set, Time For Cake. I always love a good wedding set and these cakes are gorgeous!! My colors are PTI Aqua Mist and white. The patterned paper is from Target of all places. :-) Gotta love a deal! I added a bit of color to the cake with my Copics, then added white Sparkly Fluff all over. Love this stuff! It's silver accents go with my foiled paper and metallic pearls. Yum!

Here are the challenge details -

How to Enter: Make a card following the challenge guidelines with any Paper Pretties stamps. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC80.

TIOT46 - All Boxed Up

It's Tuesady!! Do you love it?! We have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design for you today! This week's challenge (TIOT46) calls for a holiday box. Any box size, shape or type will do!

For today's challenge I chose to make a mini pizza box. I got the tutorial from Rachel's blog, what a fun little idea this was! She saved me lots of time with her easy tutorial, so check it out if you'd like to try one of these yourself! It's a really great size for a quick treat, some mini note cards, or even a tiny treasure or two.

Isn't it fun?? Here's another view that shows more of the front, I added a sentiment to the flap here:

And of course an opened view, I added these cute little Christmas Peeps that I could not resist at the grocery store yesterday. You know how that goes, run in for milk and come out with $30 of stuff you *probably* don't need....

For my main image on the top of the box, I decided to pull out one of the Special Edition Ornament Collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD images -- this is called Three French Hens. To fit her onto this cute little mini box, I omitted the ornament around her on the rubber image. I really love that these images are so versatile! You can do cards or non-card projects, and you can use the image in many ways too. It's like two-for-one!

I stamped her in
Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. After she was colored up, I cut and matted her. In the meantime, I made my mini pizza box, putting it together with SCOR-TAPE, my favorite adhesive ever EVER!! I added some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses patterned paper and some red metallic for an extra splash. Some Kaisercraft rhinestones of course, and a Prima poinsettia on the front flap and she is all set!

Be sure to check out the SCACD store blog for lots more inspiration! I hope you play along with us, we LOVE to see what you create!

LPSC44 - An Old Sketch Is New Again!

It's MONDAY!! That wonderful long weekend flew by! We got a lot done though. I hope you did too, and that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

But yes, it's Monday, which means another great challenge from {Little Paper Shop}!!! We have a WEEKLY challenge, posted each Monday, fully funded by the generous Julia with PRIZES, and the Design Team brings new inspiration. It's a good thing. Embrace the Monday!

This week we have a sketch for you. Well, sort of. This week's challenge is to choose an old LPS challenge sketch and reuse it to make a holiday card! Keyword: LPSC44. You can see the sketch I chose {LPSC05} below, and lots of other choices for your creative enjoyment on the LPS store blog.

A nice classic sketch, and I simplified by making a 4" square card. Patterned paper is Basic Grey Wassail, cardstock colors are Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke and Sahara Sand. A fairly simple card today but definitely a Christmas classic in color and style!

Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members' blogs to see all the inspiration with our recycled sketches! AND, if you play along with our challenge this week you'll be entered to win LPS stamps!! Prettie Peek - Unknown Blessings

Welcome back to blogland! Have you come out of your turkey coma? ;-) Well, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and a productive Black Friday, if you chose to shop. I am back today with a another Prettie Peek of the upcoming December Release sets from Paper Pretties! This one is called Unknown Blessings.

I think this is a great set! Wonderful sentiments and images both. I have drooled over some of the mailbox sets in the past but now I'm glad I waited! The December release sets will be available next week from the
Pretties Boutique {December 1st}. We had so much fun last month using a well-known song for our peeks that we thought we'd try it again, and since we love giving things away, we'll have the same rules for prizes as last month - leave a comment on a card from the Prettie Peeks in the Pretties Gallery and we'll pick names for you to win the new releases! This month, in keeping with Christmas we've chosen a well known Christmas carol - Winter Wonderland!

Each day some of the Prettie Girls will upload their peek cards inspired by the song lyrics. If you stop by the
Pretties Gallery and leave that Prettie Girl a comment on her card, you'll have a chance to win the new set that has been used in that peek - make sense?

The contest will end December 2nd and the winners will be posted on the
Paper Clip. You can find the link to the specific cards in the Pretties Gallery on each blog post. So, lets get started! Don't forget to stop on by the party in the Paper Pretties Forum on December 1st at 8 PM EST for the big release.

Today's peeks are from:

Christi - Under the Sea
Jana - Time for Cake
me - Unknown Blessings

My inspirational were a bit tougher for today's card! In the end chose "He sings a love song, as we go along". That mailbox is overflowing with love letters, and there are button hearts a-plenty along the side. I needed a break from winter cards anyway so I went with a happy spring & love theme here. It still works with the lyrics - perfect! HERE is a direct link to my card in the Prettie Gallery. You have to be registered in order to comment, but it's fast, free and easy so don't worry about that!

I hope you've enjoyed the peeks, check out the other Prettie Girls today and through early next week for more inspiration from this upcoming release! Last thing before I go - a SALE!! Paper Pretties has ALL of their Thanksgiving, Christmas & winter stamps 30% off, now until November 30th. Wow!! Go check out the prettie options for a great holiday season {for YOU!!}.

I used a sketch today, this is from the Diedrich Dare #12, a great sketch by Jack {you can see it on the blog}. Lady Sophia is colored with Copics, and I added glitter to her dress, shoes and hat. I chose another of the images from the Every Day Gals; Victoria Case for Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. This is Suzanne, named for our DT lead, Suzanne Dean, one of the most talented papercrafters I know! I thought this would be an appropriate image for this week, since tomorrow is Black Friday!

She is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I also used the colors from the current Raspberry Suite color challenge {#19} from Dawn McVey, what a gorgeous one - the PTI colors of Raspberry Fizz, Dark Chocolate, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist & Lavender Moon! I even got them all in there!

You can see the sketch and lots more inspiration from the rest of the DT on the Victoria Case Stamps Challenge Blog. Thanks for stopping by today! I'll be back in a bit with post #2.
