PWC97 - Buggy Birthday

Hello stampers! Well, it's Wednesday already, which is Paper Pretties day; with a new featured stamp set (or two) plus a DT blog hop each week! This week's challenge {PWC97} is to create a masculine birthday card! Yay! We always need birthday cards! I have actually already given this one to a birthday guy. :-) Here is mine:

Our featured sets this week at Paper Pretties are Wade E. Bug and Bugs and Fishes, so all the girls on the hop are featuring one of those sets. Both featured sets will also on sale for 20% off this week only!

The card info for today - I stamped this little darling in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen. All paper from Basic Grey. Kasiercraft rhinestones on the sentiment panel for just a touch of bling -- still manly!

Thanks for hopping with us - I'm the last stop, so you can head over to The Prettie Boutique and Forum when you're through here for more info and inspiration. Or, if you are just starting the hop here at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning.

A Try It Out Tuesday Sketch

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT61} is a sketch! My favorite {did you know that already?? LOL!}.

I chose
Little Danni from the newly released Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today's project. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for over 30% off the individual price? That's a deal!

I added in some other challenge to today's card too. But first, here is my card:

And here is the sketch by Suzanne:

Today's card details - all patterned paper from Basic Grey - the ultimate!! Susana has the BRAND NEW Kioshi and Green at Heart BG patterns up on the store website RIGHT NOW, so hurry over to snag yours! As you can see I'm loving the Kioshi! I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. I have the matching Kioshi brads in the ticket corner holes, and used some Kaisercraft Pearls for my corner element from the sketch.

The other challenges for this card - Cupcake Craft Challenge blog {CCC84} this week was looking for a Spring card with lots of CHOCOLATE {the color}. I've got plenty here! I actually had planned to make her blonde but changed to brunette to go along with this challenge a bit better. And the best part is -- loving her as a brunette!

I also used a color challenge {my SECOND favorite, haha!} from the Copic Colour Challenge blog {#57}, here is the swatch:

I had already decided to incorporate the brown, perfection, and I didn't have any of the really dark olive greens, so I went lighter and used the Kioshi paper instead. They say you can get close if you don't have the match, so....that's what I did! Thanks ladies for the fun colors!

Lastly, I try to do The Pink Elephant Challenge every week and this week is PASTELS {TPE60}. How perfect is that?? Spring is in the air in the stamping world!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see your sketchy creations. I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping & big hugs to all my readers!

LPSC61 - A Colorful Challenge

It's MONDAY!! Yay!! I love starting my week with a great challenge from the {Little Paper Shop}! Did you happen to see the LPS store blog on Friday? We are featuring the {Beary Special Katie} set with some great samples from the DT and LPS friends. Stop over and see all the lovely creations!

But now, on to today's challenge {your uploading keyword is LPSC61}. We have a beautiful spring color challenge for you today, I really loved this one!

Pretty pretty pretty!! I combined this with a couple other challenges, just for fun. I'll give you all the deets and links, but first, here is my card:

I used a sentiment from the new {Moments} set, this one is just sooo pretty. Julia's sentiment sets are just so gorgeous, wonderful phrase choices paired with lovely fonts. Thanks Julia!!

I noticed over on the Paper Makeup Stamps blog that they challenged stampers to be inspired by the sun this week in their Makeup for the Weekend challenge {M4TW21}. I thought that challenge would be just perfect with our fabulous color choices here at LPS this week, so I incorporated that through color, all my floral accents, and my birds and vines Cuttlebug folder on the yellow circle panel. Also, to be completely cheesy, this sentiment just makes me think of laying in the grass on a summer day with the kiddos, just taking in life. So there's the inspiration!

I put this project together using this week's sketch from the Friday Sketchers blog {#95}. I love a good sketch and those girls have got it goin' on! Here it is for reference, you can see I rotated it one turn to the left.

Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! AND, if you play along with us you'll be entered to win this week's prize -- stamps from the {Little Paper Shop}!! Check out the details on the LPS store blog this morning - you have until Sunday night to enter by linking up on this week's post on the LPS store blog and the winner will be announced there next Monday morning. Can't beat free stamps AND an excuse to use them!

TIOT60 - Spring Gifts

Happy Sunday out there!! Today we have a very special edition of the Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! The store has officially reopened, and we're celebrating with some new inspiration! This week's challenge {TIOT60} is to create a Spring or Easter Gift! Perfect timing. :)

I chose
Little Anki from the newly released Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today's project. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for over 30% off the individual price? That's a deal!

My creation is fairly simple, but a lot of fun. Today's card details - all patterned paper from Basic Grey - the ultimate!! Susana has the BRAND NEW Kioshi and Green at Heart BG patterns up on the store website RIGHT NOW, so hurry over to snag yours!

I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. The base of the project is a small colored bag, and I cut out the Basic Grey panels with the Top Note die in my Cuttlebug. Some ribbon for the handle and filled with Reeses' Peanut Butter Eggs and it's all set for a fun little Spring Gift!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see your Spring Gift creations. I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping & big hugs to all my readers!

A Pink Elephant Prettie Peek!

Hello stampers! It's time for another Paper Pretties April preview from me; remember the different DT members will be peeking new images for you right up to April 1st!

My card today uses one of the new digi stamps, Super Cooper. I love it!! I have boys so I am always ready for a new Cooper image and this one does not disappoint! Take a look, I colored him like Super Why. :)

And here is the inside of the card. I don't normally decorate there but this sentiment was perfect for this SUPER image and I didn't have a spot for it on the front.

I printed Cooper on PTI white and colored with Copic Markers. Accents and highlighting with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen. How perfect for this little stinker! I love him and my DS #1 does too, he's already asked me to print him one ("but bigger mommy") so he can color too.

Straightforward on the rest of the project. I did use a sketch today, you know I can't resist a good challenge, especially a sketch! It's been a few weeks since I was able to play along over at The Pink Elephant so I was thrilled to see a sketch up there for this week! Here it is {TPE59}:
For the center circle elements I used some "Color Me" buttons from Dress It Up. These are a great product, you can buy them at the SCACD store for 50% off right now (just $1 each!!). I have all the colors and I use them surprisingly often. They're really handy! Other details - I cut Cooper out and layered him over some Classic Circle and Pinking Circle Nestabilities (popped up on dimensionals). Patterned paper is from Basic Grey. Sentiment stamp is from Pink Cat Studio. I put my buttons on with Mini Glue Dots (of course!).

That's it for me! You can head over to The Prettie Boutique and Forum when you're through here for more info and inspiration on this upcoming release. See you tomorrow with a special Try It Out Tuesday from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design {on a Sunday!}, and also the reopening of the SCACD store with lots of great new products. Going to be a busy day!

A New Prettie Peek

Hello stampers! It's that time again ALREADY! The first preview day for the upcoming April Paper Pretties release, and I'm showcasing today along with some of the other Pretties! The new stamp sets and digital images will be available to purchase on April1st. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team blogs between now and then for more peeks! {Including me, I'll be back on Saturday with another!}.

My card today uses a new scripture set that will be coming out in rubber. So pretty!

I stamped my image on PTI white with Memento Rich Cocoa and cut it out with Classic Oval Nestabilities. I matted with the new Big Scalloped Oval Nesties for a softer look. NEW yummy Basic Grey paper on this one - just in over at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, I am having a blast with the new patterns! I went with these papers because they wanted to see SPRING over at Crazy 4 Challenges this week {C4C29} and this paper just SCREAMS spring!

Also used a sketch on this, you know I gotta get those in whenever I can, they are my favorite! Taylored Expressions #105 today, I flipped it on it's side to make the horizontal sentiment my main focal image.

Other quick details - I sprayed the white Kaisercraft flowers with Shimmerz Spritz to color coordinate with the papers and add sparkle. A Prima mini rose in the center and I added Smooch Illuminate to it so it would also stand out. I also went over the dove in the scripture with Illuminate {that didn't really show up in the photo}. I love that the Smooch paints have so much sparkle, and that they comes with the little applicator brush. No hunting for a brush and no wash up after use!

Ok, that's all I've got, thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of the previews, and I hope everyone has a fabulous Thursday!

A PWC96 Birthday Owl

Hello stampers! Well, it's Wednesday already, which is Paper Pretties day; with a new featured stamp set (or two) plus a DT blog hop each week! This week's challenge {PWC96} is a BIRTHDAY inspiration challenge! It is our very own Frances' (stampowl) birthday, and in her honor, we are all being inspired by OWLS! Everyone was instructed to find an owl photoa to use as their inspiration piece for their project today. Here is my inspiration photo, from Lucy Kate Crafts:

And here is my contribution, using Lady Sophia:
Our featured sets this week at Paper Pretties are Lady Sophia and Make A Wish Sophia, so all the girls on the hop are featuring one of those sets. Both featured sets will also on sale for 20% off this week only!

The card info for today - I stamped this little darling in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen. Dazzling Diamonds glitter all over her hat and dress (I put mine on with the Quickie Glue Pen). I sprayed a white Prima flower with Log Cabin Smooch Spritz, what fast, opaque coverage it gives and SUCH a shine! As I said before too, it doesn't spit and glob nearly as much as the other sprays I have tried. A lot smoother to use. I added this Making Memories rose to the center of the flower (thanks Heather) and she's good to go! Patterned paper from Basic Grey.

Thanks for hopping with us - one more stop left, please head over to Frances' blog to wish her a very happy day!

Allison!
Thanks Allison! I used the smaller heart image from {In Love} here, and the sentiment is from {Tweet Wishes Lucy}. Paper is from Basic Grey - the new Kioshi pattern. PTI spring mix buttons. Hard to see in the picture but I added Dazzling Diamonds on top of the colored heart for some sparkle.

I chose Kioshi paper and these lovely spring colors to play along with the Copics Colour Challenge {#56} this week - here is the swatch for reference, so pretty!Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! Hello stampers! Well, it's Wednesday already, which is Paper Pretties day; with a new featured stamp set (or two) plus a DT blog hop each week! This week's challenge {PWC95} is a color challenge! My almost favorite! LOL. Second only to sketches OF COURSE. Here are the colors, so soft and pretty:

Our featured sets this week at Paper Pretties are Eggstra Special Easter and Love You This Much. Both featured sets are on sale for 20% off this week only!

I used a sketch for today, Mercy's Tuesday Sketch for this week (MTSC65), and added in The Pink Elephant's challenge for using a SPRING THEME on your card. I think my colors and my image are very springy (TPE58). Here is the sketch:

The card info for today - I stamped this little sweetheart in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The circles were made with Classic Circle Nestabilities. All the patterned paper is from Basic Grey. Art Institute Glitter on the polka dots on the egg.

TIOT59 - Cinema Inspired!

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT59} is to create a card inspired by the movies! What a fun idea!

I chose Little Carolyn from the newly released Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today's project. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for over 30% off the individual price? That's a deal!

My movie inspiration scene is from Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. There were a couple of scenes on the swings in the movie and they were pivotal to the storyline. I thought of it instantly for this week's challenge. Here is my card:

Today's card details - all patterned paper from Basic Grey - the ultimate!! Susana has the BRAND NEW Kioshi and Green at Heart BG patterns up on the store website RIGHT NOW, so hurry over to snag yours! Really loving these latest patterns, look for some samples using them coming soon!!

I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. The white dots on the scallops of the sentiment panel are also the Ranger pen. I added some Raspberry Fizz Ultra-Fine Flower Soft to the flowers on the swing, some Kiwi SMOOCH to the leaves, eyes, and shoes, and Crystal Stickles to the flowers on her dress (which is paper-pieced with the BG paper as well), and small Kaisercraft Rhinestones all along the length of the top layer of ribbon. You know I can't resist those embellishments!! The sentiment is from Pink Cat Studio, available at SCACD.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see your cinema-inspired creations. I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping & big hugs to all my readers!

LPS Preview BLOG HOP!

Happy morning stampin' friends! It's MONDAY!! Yes it is, but as you know around here Monday is a GOOD thing, because I feature the {Little Paper Shop}, where there is so much to love you hardly know where to begin!

This particular Monday is even more special than most, because we are BLOG HOPPIN' our latest preview -- the March releases will be available at the {Little Paper Shop} store TOMORROW, and you are going to need these (just like every month, ha!!). So WELCOME from Julie's blog. You're right where you should be. She's always got a fabulous project to share, doesn't she?! Today we are showing off the {Everyday} set, a beautiful sentiment collection. Here is mine:

For my project today, I used this week's Taylored Expressions sketch (TESC104), flipped on it's side. It's also the start of a new challenge today {LPSC59 is the keyword for public forum uploads}; and Cindy has asked us this week to "make something old new again"! My something old items are the plain scalloped border punch (there are too many to choose from, it's been awhile on this one) and the yellow Prima flower. Yeah, I have literally 1,000's of Primas and yet I only use the NEW ones I buy, so I dug around for one to layer up on today's project -- it represents all of it's neglected Prima sista's too, LOL! I added on one of the AMAZING Prima mini roses (I know, where have I been that I only just now got these?!?!?!). There's SMOOCH Illuminate topcoat dabbed onto the Prima and the mini rose -- it looks so pretty IRL. What a great product! I paper pierced all the layers on the main panel for extra depth and stamped the sentiment directly onto the PP with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.

Here's the sketch:

Ok, that's enough from me! To continue on the hop, head over and visit ALLISON at Stampin' When I Can. Did you know I first learned of LPS - waaaay back when Julia first started the company - from her? I was a customer before I was on the DT and I've never looked back! Thanks girl!

If you're just starting the hop here at my blog, be sure head over to the LPS store blog to start from the beginning. If you're on course, be sure to stop in at the store blog when you're all hopped out and enter for a chance to win this set! Lastly, play along with us this week for our "make something old new again" challenge and you'll have another chance to win free stamps! Check out the details on the LPS store blog this morning - you have until Sunday night to enter by linking up on this week's post on the LPS store blog and the winner will be announced there next Monday.

See you tomorrow!

This week's challenge {TIOT58} is to create a project using BUTTONS! Lots of buttons, buttons used in creative ways, it's allllll about buttons over here today! Good one - you know I've never met an embellishment I didn' like, and buttons are SO big right now!

Here is my card:

I have chosen another of the BEAUTIFUL newly released images from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design - from the amazing collection of EXCLUSIVE images, Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition 3 -- meet New Friends! She is just absolutely darling. I love the bird and her sweet little pose. Perfect!

I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with her today, so I went looking for a color challenge. This one fit right in with my spring frame of mind - those girls over at the Copic Colour Challenge blog have some great ideas! This is challenge #54 - here's the swatch for reference:
Today's card details - I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. I cut her out with Nestabilities Labels 3, added some background stippling, and sponged my edges. For all your Nestabilities needs, Susana has all the first release 2010 nesties IN STOCK so head over, I have not seen them *anywhere* else yet! Then I paired her up with some new American Crafts patterned paper, perfect for spring and my little bird's song!

LPSC58 - Colorful Blessings

It's MONDAY!! Wow, that weekend flew by! Back to our regular schedule, and it's time for a new challenge from the {Little Paper Shop}! Did you happen to see the LPS store blog on Friday? We are featuring the {Butterflies and Blossoms} set with some great samples from the DT and LPS friends. Stop over and see all the lovely creations!

But now, on to today's challenge {your uploading keyword is LPSC58}. We have a color challenge for you, check it out:

I really had fun with this one. When I first saw the swatch, I wasn't thinking "elegant" for my card, but the more I looked at it and played around in my mine, that's what emerged! I just love when the creativity takes over! I used a sentiment from the beautiful set {Blessings} for my project today, along with this week's sketch from Taylored Expressions {TESC103}. I love, love this quote, and it fits right in with the other wonderful sentiments and images in the {Blessings} set. A great group of "go to" stamps.

The purple flowers actually match the Rich Razzleberry perfectly! I don't know why they look so off in the picture. Not a lot of details you can't immediately see - the pearls along the lower panel are from Kaisercraft, the little turquoise roses are the new Prima Cameo Roses (LOOOOOOVE these!!). Cardstock and patterned paper is SU.

Here's the sketch for reference:

Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous color challenge!

One quick note before I go - if you get a chance, head over to the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design Store Blog beginning today and enter to win the SUPER YUMMY blog candy! The next release is coming up this Friday and trust me, you don't want to miss out!

See you tomorrow - hope everyone has a GREAT day!
