Imagine That Digis - School Boy

Hello everyone! Are you ready to start a new week?? Since football is over for us til fall (sad!), I had some free time today to craft!

I wanted to share another card that I've made as a Guest Design Team member for January at Imagine That! Digis by Kris. I love this little guy! Sometimes finding great boy-themed images can be a challenge, so I need to make sure to grab them any time I see good ones!

This image is called School Boy. I used the pre-colored version on this card - I LOVE having that option! The colors were just perfect for a school-themed card, so I went ahead and used them, along with some papers I had in my stash. The sentiment is from an AMuse set I've had lying around for awhile. Dies are all from Gina Marie.

My older son is participating in a Regional Math Meet next weekend, in a team and an individual competition. So this is for him, and is just a perfect image for what will be an academic "good luck" card for him. Hoping that he stays confident and enjoys himself at the tournament!

That's it for me, be sure to check out the store, there are some great new Valentine's releases that just came out yesterday, and other inspiration projects too. You can check the left sidebar for the label "imagine that" to see all my projects from ITDBK. Have a great night!

Imagine That Digis - Christmas Bird Trio

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone is having a great start to their week. It's been unseasonably warm here, all the snow is gone and it's been rain and fog. So crazy!

Well, DESPITE this non-winter weather, today I'm sharing a holiday card I made as a Guest Design Team member for January at Imagine That! Digis by Kris. I know we've just passed the holiday season, but I LOVE love this image, and so I had to feature it! Call it a big head start on the 2017 Christmas Card frenzy ;)

This image is called Christmas Bird Trio, and there are 2 sentiment options with the set. I chose the Holly Jolly Christmas, which has been colored here with Copic markers. I wanted this image very prominently featured, as it is both the main focus AND the sentiment. I printed it fairly large sized, and I made this card 4x6" when finished and folded. This way, it will fit into a #10 envelope for mailing. After I matted the image, I set it aside, and used Kaisercraft spray to make a funky background on this white paper. The white was a 12x12 that I cut in order to create the 4x6" base. Wrapped up some green linen thread from Fun Stampers Journey, and sequins for a touch of sparkle. The birds image is on 1-layer of foam tape for dimension. This card is all set to go for easy mailing, but still packs a big punch, visually!

That's it for me, be sure to check out the store, there are some great new releases for January (I shared some projects last week, and the images are right at the top on the main page for easy reference), and other inspiration projects too. You can check the left sidebar for the label "imagine that" to see all my projects from ITDBK. I'll be back soon with another card to share!

Oddball Art Stamps - January Release Inspiration!

Good morning stampers! Wow, that weekend went by fast. Monday already, and I'm so excited to finally be ready to share some inspiration using the new January 2017 release images from Oddball Art Stamps!

I've made two cards for you today; this release is SUCH a good one. I had SO many ideas floating around it was tough to narrow things down at first! I have more projects planned for future challenge cards, so stay tuned ;)

Here is my first project, featuring the fantastic Sugar Puff, Image #360. This image is so much fun, versatile and MAGICAL. I was instantly in love!

I have colored the image with Copics, and cut out with some old Spellbinders that seemed to fit the bill for the look I wanted. Added cloud background with Soft Sky ink and template. Swirl die is from MFT. Embossed clouds on the back panel, stamped the X's and O's on the wooden heart piece and lots of sequins, because who doesn't love those? Viola! The Sugar Puff panel is popped up with some foam tape.

My second card features Hudson, Image #363. What a sweetheart! I have boys, so you know I've gotta snap up those cute boy images whenever I can!

Again, this image is printed out and colored with Copics. I kept him pretty simple with a lovely inspirational sentiment and some fun embellies. He deserves to be the center of attention with that FACE! :)

That's it for me today! Hope everyone has a great day; stamp happy!

Creative Knockouts 177 - Finish the Inside

Good morning stampers! Today I'm sharing my project for the challenge over at Creative Knockouts where the theme is....Finish the Inside

This week's sponsor is Kenny K Stamps, and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring Martial Arts Boy Stance from KennyK. The reason I chose this image is because my DS#1 is actually testing for his Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do TOMORROW and Saturday, and I thought this would be a great one for a little bit of a pick me up card for him as he is EXTREMELY nervous about this. We know he is going to do so well, but he's a perfectionist and that is ROUGH. So say some extra cheers for him tomorrow afternoon if you think of it!

The sentiments are from a couple of Paper Pretties sets, Karate Girl and Karate Boy. I stamped the inside sentiment on the Soft Sky paper as well as directly on the inside of the card, and hand cut some of the important words to highlight them. Dies on the front panel are from Gina Marie designs.

That's it for me today! Don't forget to swing over to the Creative Knockouts blog to link up your projects for your chance to win! My DT sisters have created some beautiful inspiration, so leave them some love too!

Imagine That Digis - Grand Piano

Hello out there in blogland! Are you ready for the weekend? It can't get here soon enough for my tastes! :)

Today I'm sharing a card I made as a Guest Design Team member for January at Imagine That! Digis by Kris. This card was inspired by my sons, who have been in piano lessons for several years now and just love it. They have come SO far! It's such a perfect image, as soon as I saw it I knew I needed this one! Featuring Grand Piano by ITDBK.

Image printed out and colored with Copic markers. Paper is from Kaisercraft. Die cut is an old Spellbinders that I've still kept around. Foam tape and sequins to finish it off. Standard A2 sized card. I kept this versatile, it can be used for a man or a woman, for any occasion, just finish off the inside with greeting or sentiment of choice and viola! Gotta love projects that turn out like this!

That's it for me, be sure to check out the store, there are some great new releases for January (I shared some projects last week, and the images are right at the top on the main page for easy reference), and I'll be back soon with another card to share!

Imagine That Digis - Photography Release

Hello lovely stampers! I'm back today with another fun, FUN project as a Guest Designer for Imagine That! Digis by Kris. Today is Day 2 for the January releases at ITDBK and the theme is Photography! There are 2 packages of digital papers and 2 different Camera/Photography themed image sets in this release. So many options! For my project, I have used Selfie Sandy, as well as papers from the set. Instead of buying each of these image sets individually, there is an awesome bundle available, where you buy the 2 image sets and get a bunch of coordinating papers for free! Check it out here.

Ok, on to my project for today. I hope you like her! I chose to use the precolored image today, I was a bit behind in crafty funtime after a crazy weekend with family and renovation project at home! I really liked this coordinating paper, so it ended up working out perfectly! I added a bit of darker brown lowlights to her hair for a bit more pop, and lots of gold accents; she just screams BLING ME!

Dies from Gina Marie, gold glitter Sakuro gel pen for highlights, button from PTI, bow and gold swirl twine from The Paper Studio, sentiment from Fun Stampers Journey, and embossing folder is Darice. Check out the ITDBK blogstore, and Facebook page for more info, and check back later this week for one of my regular GDT cards!
