Can I just say - "first thing in the morning" takes on a whole new meaning when you have two little kids! May I present my card for this week's Belli Challenge; which should have been up "first thing in the morning" but sadly, wasn't.
This week's emBELLIshment Challenge from Creating with Chrissy (CBC11) is to use embossing powder. If you play along with the challenge, be sure to link your project to the post on her blog for a chance to win the random drawing.
On this card, my balloons are embossed - the Rose Red ones are stamped in Rose Red craft ink and then clear embossed. The oval balloon in the middle is stamped in Regal Rose craft ink and embossed with "Pixie Dust" embossing powder from the LSS for a little bit of glitz.
Do you see - my circle nestabilities set finally arrived. Woo hoo - I've been waiting for these since JANUARY!! I used Jen del Muro's Sketch For You To Try #5 on this one. Here's the sketch so you can see how I did - I think I stuck to it pretty well!
Lastly, I took Allison's Challenge this week to use DOTS (AFSS11). I like dots! I like challenges too {can you tell?}, they help me direct my chaotic thoughts when I sit down to stamp.
All stamps are from Firecracker Designs by Pamela. My April design set is Birthday Balloons - Up Up & Away. I think this will be a great card for a little girl's birthday. I think I'll be using this sketch again!
