Penny's Challenge 353 - Anything Goes!

Today's card features this beautiful pre-colored Beer Sentiment Sheet. OMG - soooooooo funny!! Love these - I always need stuff for guy cards, and funny is good. These are great for quick cards, or even complicated cards! The sentiment is a clear stamp from Paper Pretties and the Beer Stein is from DRS Designs in red rubber. Oh yea, and those are eyelets. I used my CropADile I've had for 10,000 years. Kickin' it OLD SKOOL this week!

Today's card features this beautiful pre-colored Calla Lily. Love these - such fabulous shading and I love the halo around the image too. These are great for quick cards, or even complicated cards, but you can save a few minutes on coloring! So versatile. The sentiment is a clear stamp from Paper Pretties.

365 Cards - Day 361: 20 Minutes

Hello stampers!!  It's Friday, Friday!  That means I get to share a new card with you from 365 Cards!  Today's challenge -- "20 Minutes".  Create a card, any card, in 20 minutes or less.


Now I admit I am not all that fast of a stamper, in general.  Of course when there's coloring involved, most of us probably aren't.  So how do we make a "quickie" card?  I have found 3 ways that I can manage it.  1) use an image that looks ok in just outline form, but dress it up with paper and embellies. 2) use a large sentiment and no "picture" image. 3) use stickers or other pre-made embellishments for your main image(s).  I chose #3 this time, using these cute cardstock stickers from Sassafrass Lass and adding in a small sentiment at the bottom (Paper Pretties)! 

I will admit this took me 22 minutes.  There was an issue with the embellies I chose for the bottom corner originally; they just weren't working right, and I had to dig into the button drawer for replacement options.  I think we can all understand how that would take awhile, right??  :)

365 Cards - Day 354: Prickly

Hello stampers!!  It's Friday, Friday!  That means I get to share a new card with you from 365 Cards!  Today's challenge -- "Prickly".  Create a card with a texture element that is prickly - nothing smooth or soft.  Pam made me dig DEEP into the stash for this one!!


Here's my contribution, using this pretty flower from Prima, some glittery pine needles from my stash, and this sweet sentiment from Paper Pretties!  I love it when a plan comes together!

365 Cards - Day 347: Pop Culture

Hello stampers!!  It's Friday, Friday!  That means I get to share a new card with you from 365 Cards!  Today's challenge -- "Pop Culture".  Create a card based on a current trend.  Trends can be clothing, beauty, accessories, hair...if it's trending now, it's fair game. 


Here's my contribution, using this AD-OR-ABLE Turtle Love from Bugaboo Stamps.  Hey, it's Valentine's Day next week and now I'm ahead of the game!!  I went for a more masculine look so I can give this to someone in a few days...

Ok, I admit, I am not exactly up on what's trendy these days.  I got a little help from this web article, and decided to work with Color Blocking as my trend.  Paper is from Basic Grey and Scenic Route.  Ribbon from RABOM.  Colored with Copics.  Sentiment is from the Love Birds set by Paper Pretties.

PW192 - Texture

Hello blog land!!  I am back with another AWESOME challenge from Paper Pretties!  Don't forget, if you play along with us you could win free stamps or digis from the Paper Pretties Boutique!  Prizes every week!


This week's challenge (keyword:  PWC192) is to add texture to your card.  Yay!  I always have fun with this challenge.  So many options - embossing, clay, embellishments, glitter, flock...the list goes on.  I chose to use SAND for my main texture element on this card.  Yep, that's REAL BEACH SAND, imported from Florida.  :) Thanks Mom!

And that little man right there could be one of mine any time we go to visit!  Check out this great Life Is Good Cooper in the store.  I also added these fantabulouso burlap buttons from Nikki Sivils and some Cuttlebug background for good measure.  TEXTURE ON!

365 Cards - Day 291

It's Friday, Friday!  I am ready!  Here's a fun challenge to jump start your creativity for the upcoming days from 365 Cards.


The challenge today is "Diamonds and Pearls".  You must include the diamond shape somewhere (can even be patterned paper) and at least THREE pearls.  I went with a Christmas theme since it's still that time!!  This is one of my favorite little stamps, so much fun and sweet to boot!  Season of Joy from Paper Pretties.  

I colored the image with colored pencils and Gamsol.  The diamonds are in this SU patterned paper.  The background paper is from The Paper Studio.  Pearls along all the scalloped edges of the center oval.  Sentiment on the inside.

365 Cards - Day 284

It's Friday, Friday.  WOOT!  I am definitely ready!  Here's a fun challenge to jump start your creativity for the upcoming days from 365 Cards.


The challenge today is to create a mosaic on your card using small pieces of paper.  Since "abstract" and I are *not* friends, I chose to make a nice tiled pattern for my mosaic background.  All the better to show off this fantastic image from Paper Pretties - love this baby boy set.  Currently out of stock but check back to the website soon to get yours!
