A LONG Overdue Thank You Post

I have some blog candy "thank you"s and photos to share with the world - and I am ashamed to say these are from late June/early July. They ended up getting caught in the Category 5 Hurricane of our household move and I never got them photogrpahed and posted. So, sorry for the lateness and a HUGE thank you to everyone for the candy RAKs and prizes. *MWAH* to each of you!

This one is from Lorraine Rowe. She had a "guess where I CASE'd this card from in the SU catty" contest and I won her candy. Can you BELIEVE the amazing generosity?!?! Three unmounted SU stamp sets. Don't worry, they have found a loving home, heeheehee. She also sent me this beautiful card:

This next one is from Deb Neerman. I got four new stamps from Diva Impressions - NICE! Can't wait to ink 'em up now that they are found again (I did a little stamp area cleaning and moving around over the weekend - just a little, but look at the fabulous finds, LOL. Imagine when it's all finished....).

Lastly, I got these great clear stamps from Page Plans. I won one of their weekly sketch contests (Page Plans 5), and this was my prize. Wow!! As soon as I have time again I'll be back to doing their weekly sketch challenges - if you haven't visited them yet, check it out! Chris & Lesli are super talented.

Beer....Foamy

Here's another card using DRS Designs images. This is a *large* beer mug - I had to use my largest oval Nestabilitites to make the cuts for the main image. I used an older card layout from Page Plans on this - Page Plans #5.

The colors are Olive, Celery and Summer Sun (and GP 110# white of course). I made the olive BG paper by stamping the sentiment repeatedly across the paper. The celery panels are SU Prints DP.

Colored the main image with my copics, added LOTS of liquid applique and glitter then heated it so it was nice and foamy. Popped up the main image on dimensionals. Here's a close up of the beer:

Don't forget to sign up for my blog candy! You can enter daily. :-) Tomorrow is the last day and I'll pick the winner on Monday morning. Have a great weekend!

Artful Inkables Get Well Card

Here's a card I made earlier in the week to send to Kristin over at Artful Inkables. I read on her blog that she and her daughter were in a bad car accident a few weeks ago and she sustained some injuries {but will recover}. I figured I could post it since she should have it by now {not that she reads my blog, I'm SURE, but I have this thing about posting cards I've sent specifically to someone before giving the USPS a fair chance to get it to them in person -- I'm weird}.

I had bought a whole bunch of her stamp designs last fall when they were first introduced over at Starving Artistamps and I really like her style. All of the flowers are beautiful and I think he animals are just the cutest! She now has her own commerce website and is selling the stamps herself - check it out if you have a few minutes. She's got some beautiful samples in the card gallery too.

This card uses the layout from Page Plans #6. I *really* liked this sketch, but unfortunately I didn't get to play while it was the "current" week. Ah well, time does fly, doesn't it? It's hard to see in the photo but the right side of the scalloped circle has tiny rhinestones. The rest of the scallops have a 1/16" hole punched in them. I colored the flower with colored pencils and gamsol, and outlined it with a Prismacolor marker. The flourish die is a new 12" one from Quickutz I got at Archiver's last week - I love it! I snipped it down a bunch to work on my card - it is so versatile! I can't wait to play with it some more.

The sentiment is from SU's Sincere Salutations, I still reach for that set probably 50% of the time when I need a sentiment. That's saying something! The scallop is up on dimensionals. The gems are from Hero Arts - they come in a line, and let me say it's a real pain to cut them apart to use!! LOL. But that was the size I wanted, so no choice there. :-) {Life is so rough, huh?}

Happy Friday!! The Friday Favorites will be up later tonight. Hope everyone has a stamperific weekend - we have TWO 3- and 4-year old birthday parties to go to so I'm sure I'll be all done in!

Page Plans - I WON?!

Have you checked out the Page Plans site yet, BTW? I found it because I am a complete stalker of Lesli's blog, so I saw the announcement when they started up the sketch blog. Anyway, everyone associated with the group is uber-talented and they put out a layout sketch and a card sketch every week. Swing by for a peek! The new sketches are posted on Sundays.

Anyway, back to the reason I am telling you all this. Remember my Daiquiri card from last week - it used the Page Plans Sketch #5? Well I linked it up to the Page Plans blog as an entry for the week's sketch contest, and I won!! How cool is that? Well, for me anyway. Not to totally be tooting my own horn, but I was just super excited when I saw THAT come up in my daily Google Reader adventures! You can read the post here {the new sketch is first, and they talk about the prior week's winner at the bottom}.

PS - That card uses Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps images. Go see!

CBC18, Page Plans 5

Happy Wednesday!! Time for the Belli Challenge {we're on #18 already}! I know I missed a bunch of these in the last month but hopefully I'm back on track. Belli is Em"belli"shment, each week Chris challenges everyone to use stuff from their embellishment stash. If you upload a card to SCS, put "CBC18" in the keywords so we can see all the entries! This week's challenge is paper piercing.

My card also uses the sketch from Page Plans #5. What a fun one! Sketch challenges are my favorite. The colors are Rose Red, Regal Rose and Wild Wasabi. The daiquiri stamp is from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and the text was all done on the computer. Here's the sketch:
