MTTSC16 - Wedding Bells!

Well, I made it! It is still Twinkling Tuesday for another 14 minutes. Just enough time to get this blog post up!

This week's challenge for Madelynn's Twinkling Tuesday was an inspiration challenge. We were given the above photo of Mickey and Minnie and told that they were getting married. Go forth and be inspired. Here's what struck me when I saw it:

The images are from the February release at JessicaLynnOriginal - Wedding Words. I love this set! Very versatile and just beautifully done! Colors are red, black and white. The card is 4" square.

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday {there are now 9 minutes left}. ;-) Be sure to visit the rest of the Twinklettes if you haven't already!

JessicaLynnOriginal Design Team Call

Well, I hinted at it on Sunday, and the details are up! JessicaLynnOriginal is looking for 3 new design team members! The call is open now through April 19th. You can view all the details HERE on the JLO blog.

Today is Twinkling Tuesday, I'll be back tonight with my card, I'm very late, long story. In the meantime go check the DT call!

LPS Monday

Monday morning! Wow, time flies. My DS #1 is the "special helper" at preschool this morning, so we have had a lot of excitement already today! Whew!

Well, Monday is of course {Little Paper Shop} showcase day! Today's project features the {A Dream} stamp set, which is one of my absolute FAVORITES from LPS. Ok, ok, they're all my favorites. But this one gets to sit on top of the pile.

The colors are Sage Shadow and White. The patterned paper is from....Hobby Lobby. I forget who makes it but I've gotten great use out of it! The butterfly was punched out of a scrap of Sugarcoated white cardstock from Doodlebug {see, I know that one!} and put on with a dimensional after I blinged it up. I did the clouds with a scallop circle punchie scrap and then I added extra sponging to the edges.

Did you know that the {Little Paper Shop} is turning ONE year old in April!?? I can't believe it either! We are going to be having a month's worth of celebrating starting next Monday, so stay tuned! There will be WEEKLY prizes for challenges, new digi stamps!!, PLUS our April stamp releases are truly amazing. Be sure to stick with us ALL month for a LOT of celebrating!

Last thing, there is a color challenge this week over on the LPS blog! The colors are Riding Hood Red, Kraft and Chocolate Chip. We'd love for you to play along, so be sure to link your creation to a comment on this post on the LPS blog to let us know you did {details are there too}! If you upload to SCS or PCP, please use keyword LPSC09.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit all the other LPS ladies to see what they've created for today's showcase. See you tomorrow!

Let Them Eat Cake!

TGIF! How is everyone today?

I wanted to share a card I made a couple of weeks ago for one of the February Viva la Verve challenges. This one called for a monochromatic creation using this sketch layout. I went with blue, and my colors are Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze. The stamps are a mish-mash, the main image and horizontal background piece are images from Impression Obsession, the vertical background piece is {Little Paper Shop}, and the sentiment is from Stampendous. I made the grid background with my Scor-Pal.

Not much to it, although somehow it did manage to take me forever to make! Hope you have a great weekend FILLED with stamping! Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the Unity Stamp Co. World-Record Blog Hop! I am participating!

MTTSC15 - PPS Style

Happy Twinkling Tuesday! I know my post is late, I was waiting for morning and sunlight to take my photo, too bad it's raining here --- again, and there is no sunlight to be had! I did the best I could with my OTT-Lite in my craft room.

Don't worry, I do know that I didn't use a circle. This is a digital image from Pink Papery Studios and the way I had it printed (eight to a sheet) didn't allow me to use a circle. Since I didn't want to wake anyone up last night using the printer, I just ran with what I had. Isn't this house cute though? I am not normally a super-cutesy card person but I like this image a lot. The "Congratulations" sentiment is from {Little Paper Shop}. I cut out the gingerbread trim along the roofline and popped it up on dimensionals. Amy from PPS had asked for BRIGHT colors using this image, and you all know I am bright-colors-handicapped. I think I get props for trying though. ;-)

Ok, so we on the Twinkling Tuesday team would love for you to play along with us using this week's sketch! Upload your creation and link it to the post on the Twinkling Tuesday blog so we can check out your work!! The keyword for SCS/PCP is MTTSC15. Happy stamping!

Supplies, etc.: Paper - Brocade Blue, YoYo Yellow, GP 110# white cardstock, Real Red DP from SU. Ink - HP inkjet, Memento Tuxedo Black. Stamps - House from Pink Papery Studios, sentiment from {Little Paper Shop}. Other - Copic markers, dimensionals, Maize grosgrain, blue and red gems from KaiserCraft.

LPSC08 - Monochromatic

Well, you can't get much more monochromatic than black & vanilla, can you? Happy Monday! This week's challenge over on the LPS Blog is to create a monochromatic card.

This card features one of the newly released March sets from {Little Paper Shop} called {Blessings}. I think this set is just so beautiful! The filigree cross and the sentiments - even the font types! Julia is just amazing.

If you would like to play along with our challenge, just make a monochromatic card and upload it! Provide a link to your creation over on this week's post on the LPS Blog so we can check it out! The keyword for uploading is LPSC08. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Supplies, etc.: Paper - Poison Ivory Shimmery Iridescent, patterned paper from KaiserCraft. Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black. Stamps - {Blessings} from Little Paper Shop. Misc. - Ivory hodgepodge label holder, black velvet ribbon, dimensionals, pearls in pearl and black from KaiserCraft, MS butterfly punch.

Radient Rain Flowers

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I am hoping for some stamping time over here!

I thought I'd share another card I made using the Radient Rain sprays from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. I demo'd these sprays for Nicole at a convention here in town last fall. Unfortunately, LuminArte, the company that makes the Radient Rain products, is going out of business {or maybe already has}. There are similar products on the market though - Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels is one option; it works the same way, from what I have heard {I have not used it personally though}. It also has a lot of color options.

Anyway, I made this card by taking a piece of cardstock that I had sprayed with different colors of the Radient Rain and stamping the flower over the top of it. I colored it with colored pencils. All images on the card are from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Susana's Custom Art & Card Design

Hello! Wow, today's post is pretty late, we've been out all day! Whoever coined the term "stay at home mom" didn't live here, let me tell ya!

Today I wanted to share some really fabulous news I received late last week. Awhile back I applied for the Guest Designer spot for the Anki's Sweethearts line of stamps over at Susana's Custom Art & Card Design. You may remember several weeks ago I posted my first card with these darlings, I just love them all! Well Susana contacted me and asked me to be one of the Guest Designers for April! Woo hoo! I will be working with the Anki's Sweethearts images as well as a few others from Susana's store - and she carries some really great stuff! Head over and check it out - even if it is just to browse! I know you'll be hooked, just like I was.

So be on the lookout for LOTS more adorable kid cards {and more!} in April! To kick off this big news right, I have a card to share using Felicia and Crabby, which was made to play along with the March Sketch Challenge with a Twist over on the SCACD Papercraft Planet page. Here's the card:

Here is the sketch, for reference, and the "twist" is the inspiration piece, below. Wouldn't you LOVE to be there on the beach right now?? I used the inspiration piece in the image I chose, as well as the beach-striped, weathered-wood patterned paper and the colors. There is still time to play along - upload your projects to PCP with the keyword "scacd" by March 31st!! A stamp of your choice up for grabs to the winner so get stamping!

See you tomorrow!

Ok, on to the TWINKLING TUESDAY! This week it is a color challenge - St. Patrick's Day style!

Whatcha think? We'd love for you to play along, just make a card using this color combo and link it up over on the Twinkling Tuesday blog. Keyword MTTSC14 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

Here's my contribution! This fabulous Irish Blessing stamp is from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps, and I hand-doodled the border. I ran the Garden Green through the Cuttlebug with Swiss Dots and then put Diamond Stickles on all the dots {TEDIOUS!}. Added some Primas with Kaisercraft pearl centers. Easy peasy!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you tomorrow!

PMS Blog Hop & PARTY!

{I am SOOOOOO sorry it is late, we had to run out and BLOGGER DIDN'T AUTOPOST my post!!! This is the second time today! It had been set to post since yesterday morning I swear!}

Hello! Are you as excited about this PAPER MAKEUP BLOG HOP as I am!? Welcome to my stop on the hop {ooh, bad rhyme!}. Here is my offering for you!

As soon as I saw the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge {
TECC59} on Friday night I knew I wanted it for my PMS card today! I used this fabulous "What Lies Behind Us" quote for my project. Isn't it lovely? I pulled out the latest Basic Grey from the Porcelain pack for the layers. PTI Berry Sorbet cardstock and twill went well with these pretty roses, and I chose Always Artichoke for the green. I colored some clear gems with my Copics to match the Berry cardstock for the corner and I also colored some white Primas for the corner of the main image. After they were colored I painted over the top of the flowers using Angel Wings Shimmerz. The main image is up on dimensionals. I made my pink clouds using my cloud template - don't you think the world would be a better place if we had fluffy pink clouds?? :-)

Here are some more details about the HOP and the PARTY! At Noon EST the blog hop starts {obviously, it has started!}. There will be some preparty chatter going on over in the
PCP forum.

I'm so so so excited about this! PMS has some truly fabulous images and I can't wait to play. I hope to see everyone there!!! The PARTY party starts at 3:00 EST. Katie will announce the winner of the blog banner giveaway just before 3:00.

LPS Preview Day #1

Good Morning! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! It's a fun and busy one here, and today is the first day of the {Little Paper Shop} March previews! The release is coming up on Tuesday so you don't have to wait too much longer to get your hands on these amazing stamps! This first set we are previewing is called "Bound by the Heart". Isn't this sentiment just the sweetest? I love all the beautiful sayings, as well as the fonts Julia chose for these images!

Want a chance to win this set?

Leave a comment today on the
LPS Blog telling us what you like about this brand new stamp set and you can win it! One random winner will be chosen and announced on the LPS Blog tomorrow during our second preview day. Good luck!

Want ANOTHER chance to win?

Each month, the DT issues a a challenge to each other on the 15th of the month. That's today! This month
Mel challenged us to "Stitch it Up!" - add sewing, stitching, or faux-stitching to your card! I haven't unpacked my Hello Kitty sewing machine yet -- so faux-stitching it is over here! Since we would love you to celebrate our release with us, we want YOU to play along! Just create a card using some sort of stitching technique and let us know you played along! You can leave a comment on today's LPS Blog post for that, too as we will separate the entries. If you choose to upload to SCS or PCP, use keyword LPSC07. You will have until Monday, March 23rd at midnight CST to enter your card in the Stitch it Up! challenge! Can't wait to see what you create!

The details on my card - I used this pretty Kasiercraft paper I picked up at the LSS awhile back and paired it with River Rock for the card base. The sentiment is stamped onto Shimmery Ivory cardstock and then I added my faux-stitching. The main image is on dimensionals. I took some Maya Road chipboard that I bought forever ago at Archiver's and painted it using Coal Shimmerz. The black glitter dots in the corner are made by Dress It Up - I get mine from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design online store.

Be sure to visit the LPS Blog for all those chances to WIN WIN WIN, as well as the rest of the design team's blogs {links in my left sidebar} to see more sneak peeks of this amazing set!

Club Anya Sketch 2!

Hello and Happy Saturday!! Don't you just love the weekends? We have a busy one but I'll still take it over our daily grind any day! I just have a short post today because DH and I are STEPPIN' OUT! and going to see Nickelback in concert tonight in Milwaukee. Needless to say, it's a crazy day around here! {I can not even say how EXCITED I am to go to this concert! Nickelback is tied for first with Bon Jovi as my favorite band EVER}.

Well today is the last day of the current Club Anya sketch challenge {#2}. Tomorrow is another release day at The Greeting Farm and you KNOW you're going to love them all! Such cute ideas. I had a little time last night so I made a card for this sketch, I had to pull out the Miss Anyas for this one, the tall card just called "Miss Anya" to me!
My patterned paper is from Die Cuts With a View. The colors are Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery and White {also a Baja Breeze equivalent in the PP and with Copic marker ink to color her}. I cut out the layers with Nestabilities and my trusty Cuttlebug, and embossed the bottom Celery layer. Colored the image with Copics and hand-doodled the border around the main image piece with the Amethyst marker. Hard to tell in the photo but the striped paper has glitter on the white stripes. The main image layer and the half circle are up on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to come back tomorrow for the HUGE PMS Blog Hop, which I am participating in! Tomorrow is also the first preview day for the {Little Paper Shop} March release, so it's going to be busy! See you then!

Ribbon Winner & Are You An 80's Child?

Happy Thursday! Not quite morning anymore but we had a busy one. Home now though! Random.Cole picked #12 from the tupperware bowl - that's Janna! Send me your address and Mandy from Limelight Papercrafts will get your ribbon candy right out to you! Thanks to all who entered!

I still have not heard from Tami, one of the Death Swatch winners, so Tami, please send me your address by the end of the day Sunday or I will have to draw a new name to win the third book.

I also wanted to share this video with you for a little something fun on this COLD March day; I was feeling nostalgic today. If you're an 80's kid you'll be singing along in no time. Pat McCurdy's shows are a blast! You remember the 80's right? They have info on it in ancient history textbooks now, if I am not mistaken. Man I'm getting old.

PPS Wednesday - Sing in the Rain

I'm back again with my second post for today. This image is part of the April releases at Pink Papery Studios in the Simply Sistas line. Isn't she fun? I love her rain boots! Valerie created a sketch for us to use with her, so check out the rest of the DT's blogs {links on my left sidebar} to see their take on it.

The colors are Brocade Blue, Black and Summer Sun. I used this great ribbon from Limelight Papercrafts, which is a perfect match to Summer Sun {my favorite yellow!}. Printed out this digi image, colored her with Copics, and added the border punch. The Summer Sun courdory brads are a new accessory item from Stampin' Up!, and I stamped the cardstock background with my Just Jeans background stamp.

Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check the next post down for my Belli Challenge card, and don't forget to enter my blog candy for 5 yards of Olive Green ribbon in various patterns, provided by Mandy at Limelight Papercrafts! Leave a comment on THIS POST to enter - I'm drawing the winner in the morning.

CBC58 - Inspiration Challenge

Are you ready to be INSPIRED? Check out the awesome book cover for the even more awesome book, New Moon. That was our inspiration for this week's Belli Challenge, keyword CBC58. Do you love it?? I think this is a great inspiration piece! Here is my interpretation:

Now let me just say this is the WORST PHOTO EVER!! I took it down in my stamp room where the lighting is not ideal for photography {to put it nicely}. I will try to retake the photo when we get some light in the upstairs of the house. I think that probably the shiny rose-colored paper was not helping matters either. ;-)

All images from Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps. I heat embossed these silhouette flowers using white EP, then I used a blender pen to pick up the dark rose color from my Shimmer Chalk Jewel Tone set and went over and added some color here and there to the white flowers. {This technique is called Pastel Embossing}. It gives a very soft look. I also heat embossed the sentiment in white EP on black cardstock and used circle and scallop circle punches to make the layered piece. The white dots were done with a white gel pen. I added black photo corners and my yummy velvet ribbon along the bottom and I was all set! Truly, this looks much better in person, but I had to post SOMETHING this morning so you get this until I can fix the photo, heehee.

A reminder -- today is the last day to enter my Ribbon Blog Candy by leaving a comment on THIS POST. I'll be drawing the winner Thursday morning -- come back then to see if you've won!

Ok, that's it for now. I'll be back in a little bit with another project made using a sneak peek of April's new release images from Pink Papery Studios! Thanks for stopping by this morning - be sure to stop back!

MTTSC13 - Whiff of Joy!

Happy Twinkling Tuesday! How is your week going so far? Today we have another "Temporary Twinkie" designing our sketch - Madelynn's brother Jack! I am *thrilled* that he went easy on us! ;-)

I combined this one with this week's Whiff of Joy challenge too - #20 Lavender & Lace. I used this sweet Melinda Reading Book image for mine. This is my first card using her and she is SO much fun to color! My lace is along the bottom of the main image panel. I had to leave off the piercing because I didn't leave myself enough room on either side of Miss Melinda! Whoops. Note to self - refer to sketch often to avoid missing details.

I colored Melinda with Copics, added the green and lavender polka dotted ribbon, then added her to the card base using dimensionals. I found these PERFECT lavender flowers in my stash, added some pearl centers and viola. Easy peasy! I don't know what it is about the purple and green color combo, but whenever I reach for purple, green is not far behind!

That's all I've got for today, but I will have TWO projects tomorrow, so check back! Oh wait, that's not true! A reminder -- tomorrow is the last day to enter my Ribbon Blog Candy by leaving a comment on THIS POST. There aren't very many names on the list right now so your chances are good!
