Well, you can see my "Ring", I created this wreath out of Snowflakes.  FUN!!  I also used silver, and I have embossed circles on my background panel.

Paper Pretties - Dr. Feelgood & TCP139

Hello and happy Monday to all my stampin' friends!  I hope you had an amazing holiday and are doing ok getting back into that regular routine.  That is always tough for me -- more vacation please!

Well, it is Monday again already, so it's tme for Paper Pretties Monday Whatnots...What's Not to Love! ARTish has designed some super cutie patootie images that we are showing off today. You can find them, along with tons of additional digi images, in the Digital Images section in the store. EVERY MONDAY we will be releasing two more new digi images.

My card today uses this ADORABLE Dr. Feelgood image.  Poor kitty is under the weather!!  It sure is the season for it, huh?

For this week's card I incorporated a sketch challenge.  This is from the Cat's Pajamas - TCP Tuesday #139.  What a great sketch.  As soon as I saw it I know it was "the one" for this image!

I paired our feline friend up with some Basic Grey Eva paper and colored her to match.  "Out of the Box" on the Nestabilities layer and a scalloped circle border for extra pop.  PTI and ribbon-from-my-stash on the double-layer bow and it's ready to go!  Here's the sketch:

Thanks for stopping by today!  Last thing - don't forget that today is the LAST DAY for the {Little Paper Shop}.  Julia will be closing the store after today, so get what you need NOW.  All orders by e-mail to Julia, first come, first served.  Take an extra 10% off the already 40% off prices.  More info on the store blog.

PWC133 - Happy Birthday!

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! I bet you are!  If you play along with us you could WIN!   Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details!

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC133) it's BIRTHDAY TIME!  One of the best challenge choices evah, because...you ALWAYS need a birthday card!  Last time I did a vendor fair where I sold cards I sold every single birthday card I had with me.  So let's see 'em!

I used the wrong stamp set, eek!!  It's not out yet.  I'm not sure how I messed that up.  But you'll be seeing it soon, so never fear.  That means that I don't have a picture for you, but the rest of the DT does!  You can check the Paper Pretties blog for lots of inspiration!

Now, as a special Christmas gift to all of our loyal friends and customers, Paper Pretties is having a saaaaaaaaale...now through the end of the year.  Use discount code:  MERRYCHRISTMAS to save 30% off your entire order at the Paper Pretties store!

A Fun Announcement!

Happy Tuesday stamping friends!  Can you believe that it's almost Chirstmastime already??  Who's ready??  (Not here, eek!).  I hope everyone has a great start to this busy week!

I have a very fun announcement this morning!  Well, fun for me!  New year, new design team?  Sure!  I am super excited to share the news that I am joining the Squigglefly Design Team (January - June 2011).

For those of you that do not know anything about Squigglefly (other than being an online shop that sells digital images for papercrafting, which is of course the most important thing!), here is some great info for you:

  • Did you know that Squigglefly is the only company that doesn't let your download links expire?  This is important because if your computer crashes and you lose your images, you can contact Squigglefly with your e mail address and they can send your download links to you so you can retrieve your images!
  • Squigglefly also has an rewards program!!  When you sign up for Squigglefly Rewards, it keeps track of your purchases and for every $15.00 you spend you earn a free image!  You can redeem the free image whenever you want.  Sweeeeeeeet....
Be sure to stop by the Squigglefly website and check out all of those cool images by MANY different talented artists!!  They have something here for EVERY taste!

And to celebrate, I wanted to share a card that I made using some of my new Squigglefly images!  This one is called "Windy Ride".  Could this little bear BE any cuter?!

Simple recipe for this card - I printed the image on PTI white, colored with Copics, cut out with Nestabilities.  The sentiment is from {Little Paper Shop}.  Art Institute glitter on the clouds - ALL clouds should be glittered, don't you think?
;-)

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm super excited to share some of Squigglefly's huge inventory of images with you over the next six months!  Squigglefly Mondays coming in January...stay tuned!

Lastly, be sure to stop back tomorrow for an all-new Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge.  See you then!

LPSC99 - Our Final Challenge

Hello everyone!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend.  It's Monday again, and I am so very sad to say this is our last {Little Paper Shop} Monday challenge.  We announced last week that Julia had made the very hard decision to close the store at the end of the year.  Everything is currently 40% off (no coupon needed), so shop while there is still a good selection!  Stamps will NOT be restocked.

Our final challenge is to create a SQUARE card (LPSC99).  What a fun twist, and thanks for going easy on us so close to the holidays ladies!  :)  It's a regular challenge this week, and since it is our last, the prize is extra special!  Check out the LPS store blog today for details -- that's also where you link up to win!

Here is my card, featuring {Rose}:

We decided to do something extra this week, to showcase Julia's creativity and her beautiful stamp designs.  Julia, it has been an HONOR to design for you these last two years.  THANK YOU for making every day a joy and making me squeal with delight at every new stamp set.  The BEST of luck to you and your family in your other ventures.  You are beautiful, talented, and a fabulously dedicated Mommy.  And, I still want to have my boys' photos taken by you.  :)  I just gotta figure out the details...

So without further ado, here is my showcase.  These are my personal favorites from my past two years' Little Paper Shop creations {shown in no particular}:

A fun one from last year using {Christmas Tags}.  This card was published in the December 2010 issue of Scrap & Stamp Arts magazine!

{Lucy Baking} up some birthday wishes!  She's adorable!

Halloween is my favorite holiday.  I was *IN LOVE* with this {Boo} set the instant I saw it.  Had a lot of fun creating this card.  My only regret is that I couldn't fit in the tombstone and spooky eyes as well.  Oh well, next time!

Another card featuring the {Rose} set.  What can I say?  This set is gorgeous, AND an absolute classic.  I love the various flower sizes, the font mixtures, the wording of the sentiments - all of it!  I constantly have ideas in my head for this set.  Believe me, it will still be seeing plenty of use!

Last but absolutely not least is this fun sentiment card featuring my {if-you-really-really-really-forced-me-to-choose-just-ONE-favorite-{Little Paper Shop}-set} favorite {Little Paper Shop} set, {A Dream}.  Normally I'm not a big fan of orange, but it *really* works here.

I hope you enjoyed this trip down LPS-Memory Lane -- I know I did.  Be sure to pick yourself up an early Christmas gift or a little stocking stuffer over at the Shop this week!  I hope to see lots of participation in our final challenge as well!!

Have a great week everyone; I will see you back here tomorrow.  :)

PWC132 - A Manly Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! I bet you are!  If you play along with us you could WIN!   Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details!

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC132) it's time to MAN UP!  Hahahaha!  Seriously, the theme song to Two And A Half Men is running through my head right now.  You guessed it, this week's challenge is a masculine or boy-themed card.  I can think of the perfect stamps for such a challenge....hmm....  :)  I loves me some Cooper so this is perfect!

Joni outdid herself illustrating this adorable Scout Cooper, newly released from Paper Pretties and ready to get inky in your stamp room!  I don't have a scout yet, but I am thinking within the next year.  I just love his happy face here.  I gave him brown hair like my "almost" scout.

I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI white.  Colored with Koh-i-Nor pencils and Gamsol.  I think I may have to brush up on my pencil blending skillz!  Patterned paper is from K&Co.  May Arts ribbon on the side of the main image.  Mountain punches along the border of the map piece, and the embellishments came from the K&Co collection as well.  The sentiment is from the Scout Cooper stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to head over to the Paper Pretties Blog for a full list of the day's eye candy and all the challenge (and PRIZE) details!  You link up THERE for your chance to win!

Paper Pretties' December Release HOP!

Welcome to the next stop on the Paper Pretties Paper Pretties December Release Blog Hop!! I hope you're enjoying the party so far!  If you’re arriving from Jane's blogyou’re in the right place! If you are just joining us on our PARTY TRAIN, you can head back to the Paper Pretties Blog to start from the beginning.

This month Paper Pretties is releasing SEVEN brand new sets, available today, right now!!  Yaaaay!!  Today I am pleased to bring you Love Fairy Anna, illustrated by Victoria Case.  Do you love her?!  I do!  Look at those stockings!  She's adorable and comes with several sentiments and flourishes to fit so many project needs.

Can I take two seconds and point out one of the many advantages of Paper Pretties' high-quality polymer stamps?  See the sentiment on my little Anna here (if I had had a daughter, her name was going to be Anna!).  It is not wavy like that normally.  It's just a perfectly standard straight and even sentiment.  But with acrylic stamps, you can squish and squash and mish and mash until you have things just where you want them, making normally straight pieces into all kinds of shapes if it fits your needs!  AND, because they're clear, you can see exactly how it will look before you stamp it.  When you're done, peel it off the block and viola, back to normal.  Yeah, BIG PLUS!!  Try it, you'll love it!

Thanks for joining us today! We hope you love this release as much as we do!!

Oh, and remember, you still have lots of time to participate in our Prettie Wednesday Challenge this week (PWC131, Punches!).  A very easy way to win great Paper Pretties stamps!  Link up on the Paper Pretties Blog to play!

Your next stop on our Blog Hop is Pam!  Enjoy the rest of your eye candy this morning, and have fun in the Prettie Boutique when you're done!  Shop Prettie - Christmas is coming early for YOU!!

Prettie Preview - Message Pup

Welcome to Thursday!  It's time ALREADY for another great release at Paper Pretties, and today is the LAST day of our 7-day Prettie Preview extravaganza.  The December release is THIS FRIDAY, December 10th.

For today's peek, it's all about the message!!  I love this new set from illustrator Victoria Case.  She has such a way with the critters!  This one is called Message Pup.

Isn't he sweet?  He has several interchangeable sentiments that you can stamp inside his card - birthday, Sorry, Love.  It's a very versatile set for kids or adults.  I just love how hard he worked to make that message, he's got all the supplies out!  heehee!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Don't forget to head over to the Paper Pretties Blog for a full list of the day's eye candy and the prize details!  Heather is giving away one of each of the new release sets to a lucky, random commenter, so make sure you're in the running.

See you back here on Wednesday for a new Prettie Challenge!  And of course tomorrow you can get your shop on and take home all SEVEN of these great December sets.  Thanks for stopping by!

I stamped my love birds with Memento Tuxedo Black onto PTI white.  Colored with Copic markers.  Patterned paper is from my stash.  Velvet ribbon on the side panel.  Punches are the border along the side (red panel) and the rose leaves.  Pearls in the corner to finish it off.

I added in some other challenges today too.  The colors are from the ColourQ (CQC62), and the sketch is this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC103).  Here are the graphics (you can see I rotated the sketch):

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! I bet you are!  If you play along with us you could WIN!   Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details!

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC130) it's another amazing sketch from our own Prettie Girl, Frances!  You know I love a good sketch.  So of course to play along, just make a card using our awesome sketch, then link up on the Paper Pretties Blog to enter.  Here is my contribution using one of our new Sophias, 'Tis The Season Sophia.  Love her!  Paper and brads are Basic Grey.

And then here is the sketch.  You can see I changed the position of the circle image panel because of the way I cut my image, it didn't look right to me having it down in the corner.
