TPE77, CC281 - More Cowgirl FUN!

Helllllllllo and happy weekend to everyone!!  The summer is flying by so the down time is precious, isn't it??  Earlier in the week I got some down time of my own, and I made another "just for fun card" based on this week's sketch over at The Pink Elephant Challenge Blog.  That's one of my favorite challenge blogs to play along with so when I saw it was a sketch I knew I had to get some stampin' time!

Here's my contribution, featuring Howdy Girlfriend Sophia - currently on sale for only $5 in the Prettie Boutique!!  I'm having a great time creating with her these days.  She looks so sassy and fun!

I added some challenges today!!  This OF COURSE would qualify for the current Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge {PWC1112} of adding GLITTER to your project!!  Check that out if you haven't already, we have a prize for one random participant!  Also, we have the current color challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers {CC281}, and the current sketch from The Pink Elephant challenge blog!  I am also entering this card in the following challenges:

Dutch Dare Card Challenges - DDCC83: anything goes
Paper Play Challenges - '10 Week 30: anything goes

Here is the sketch {TPE77} I used, for your reference -- thanks girls for another great challenge!

I stamped my lil' Cowgirl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white and colored her with Copic markers.  Added some Shimmerz Angel wings (just a TOUCH) to her belt buckle and the star on her boot.  I went with some Ruby Slipper Glitter Dots in the extra white space for some sparkle and bling.  Paper Pretties has 18 colors of Glitter Dots in stock now!  These are awesome for projects, so fast and easy, they are flat-backed and go on with a Mini Glue Dots, another of my favorite products. Cardstock and trims from Stampin' Up, and patterned paper from The Paper Studio (I had it in my stash).

Did you know that right now, every in-stock stamp at Paper Pretties is ON SALE??? Yes they are!! Discounts range from 10 to 75% off, with most of the Sophia and Cooper sets clocking in at just $5. That is a HUGE DEAL!!

Ok, this week Prettie Owner Heather challenged us to ADD GLITTER!!   Now there's a challenge I can really get behind!!  ;-)  Here's my contribution, featuring Howdy Girlfriend Sophia - currently on sale for only $5 in the Prettie Boutique!!

I added a CLASSY amount of Art Glitter (LOL!) to her belt buckle, boots, and hat band. Art Insitute Glitter is my favorite brand, and you know I'm always reaching for my little glitter pots!  I just love the spaaaaaaaaarkle!!!  Also threw on some Kaisercraft Rhinestones around the sentiment. Paper is all from The Paper Studio, I had it in my stash.

LPSC78, MMSC63 - Getting Old?

It's MONDAY!! Yay!! I love starting my week with a great challenge from the {Little Paper Shop}! Did you happen to see the LPS store blog on Friday? We are featuring the {Nature's Garden} set with some great samples from the DT and LPS friends. Stop over and see all the lovely creations!
But now, on to today's challenge {your uploading keyword is LPSC78}. We have a soft and pretty color challenge for you today; Pink, Celery and Light Blue! First off, here is my card using {Nurse Jena} and {Young At Heart}.

And here is the inside, where I stamped the sentiment from {Young At Heart}.

I played along with a sketch challenge this week, the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge.  What a wonderful sketch!!  A new challenge to me, but I'll be adding them to my list!  Here's the sketch {MMSC63}:

I used some of my new Basic Grey Olivia paper here, sooooooo pretty!! Paper Pretties is carrying the paper, glazed brads, and the stitched too, they're so much fun! I stamped Jena with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic markers. I cut off the edge of my cardstock base, punched the border, and then added the other Olivia paper on the inside panel. Ribbon and button from Stampin' Up, with some Scrapper's Floss (colored with Copics to match!) decorating the inside of the button. Kaisercraft pearls on the main image, Prima mini roses in the corner, and viola!

Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! AND, if you play along with us you'll be entered to win this week's prize from the {Little Paper Shop}!! Check out the details there this morning - you have until Sunday night to enter by linking up on this week's post on the LPS store blog and the winner will be announced there next Monday morning. Can't beat free stamps AND an excuse to use them!

DRS Sketch, C4C47 - Here Comes Cooper!

Happy Sunday!  I am so excited to be blogging today because last night I stamped....JUST FOR FUN!!!  Yes, yes, yes!  It was fabulous.  Not that I don't ADORE my design team work, because I absolutely do, but the last month or two I've been so strapped for time in the REST of my life that I haven't done much stamping outside of the DT goodness (as you can see from my less-frequent blog posting).  But things are settling down a bit so last night I stamped and colored to my heart's content and played along with TWO challenges!!

Here is my card, featuring Look Out World Cooper from Paper Pretties.  He was my first Cooper purchase, I just love him!  He reminds me of my boys, so ready to take on anything!  My baby is going to Kindergarden this fall so I paired him with the sentiment from Off To School Sophia - it just FIT with this fall/boy Oliver patterned paper from Basic Grey.  I also used one of the Oliver Glazed Brads.  Ribbon is May Arts; Olive Ric Rack and the red came from Archiver's.  I used the QuicKutz Apples embossing folder to keep with the school theme.

I incorporated two challenges here!!  Woo hoo!!  I really like participating in challenges and haven't been keeping up very well this summer, so this is fun for me.  :) The first is a sketch, it's the current one from the DRS Designs blog.  This was a great one, especially for adding different papers and textures.  Here it is for reference:

And the other is an inspiration piece, from the Crazy 4 Challenges blog (C4C47).  I was chatting with Jessie last night and she steered me over there.  Oh my, this room is SO fun!!  Now, I am aware that I did not follow the girly colors of the room (because I really wanted to use this Cooper!), but I love how they mixed the patterns and textures and made it all work.  So I pulled my inspiration from that and used stripes, polka dots, zig zags, and of course my apple background to represent the wall stencils.  Here's the inspiration picture:

How fun is that??  Maybe I can redecorate my bedroom...I'm sure that will go over GREAT, hahahahaha!

Don't forget, Paper Pretties is now in the United States, with fast, Fast, FAST (and cheap) shipping, quality customer service, and lots of NEW products!!  Also, all in-stock stamps are currently on sale up to 75% off, so go see what YOU need!  The Cooper I used today is only $5 right now.

That's it for me today!  I'll see you tomorrow for another LPS Monday.

PWC111 - Non-Traditional Christmas (in July!)

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! WE ARE BACK!!!  Paper Pretties has returned to the BLOG FORMAT for store news, information, etc....aaaaaand the PWC!  I think we can all agree that the blog is best.  :)  I've been waiting for this change since Heather became the new owner of Paper Pretties and moved the store to the USA!  She's been kinda busy working on alllllll the new stamp sets (ssshhh!) but we've got it ready now!  And having the blog back means that we've got a linking system (InLinkz, love it!) and PRIZES!!!  Yes yes yes!!  Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details and your chance to win!

Ok, this week Jackie challenged us to make a Christmas card using non-traditional colors.  I'm pretty sure mine qualifies...LOL...although oddly enough, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Goooo non-traditional!!

And the store news - in case you didn't catch some of my posts the last couple of weeks, but you will be seeing exceptional customer service and lightning fast shipping from Paper Pretties from here on out, with SIGNIFICANTLY lower shipping costs -- and free shipping after you meet the minimums too. Full details on new shipping rates can be found on the main page over at Paper Pretties.

First off, here's my card, using {Tweet Wishes Lucy}.  I love her dress!!
