PWC108 - BIG News At Paper Pretties!!

WELCOME BACK to the Prettie Wednesday Challenge!!! Whew!! We've had some big changes around the Paper Pretties water cooler, and I just KNOW you are going to be as excited about them as I am!!

First and foremost, Paper Pretties has a new owner and a new country! Yes, yes! Our Prettie Mama is Heather Lee-Reppen, and she is one of my bestest friends, both in and out of stamping. I am so, SO excited for her, and I know you don't know her like I do, but she has a TRUE commitment to having things done, and done right (in a fast and organized way, LOL). Every stampin' gal out there knows that when we need new stamps, paper, and accessories, we NEED THEM NOW. Well from now on, you're going to get them now, from Paper Pretties! Now located in the United States (right here in Wisconsin), you will see lightning fast shipping, with SIGNIFICANTLY lower shipping costs -- and free shipping after you meet the minimums too.

So head over and check out the new products - 6x6 designer paper pads, Kaiser gems, pearls and flowers, adhesives, Smooch Spritz and more, plus other improvements Heather has already made. AND, keep coming back, because over the next weeks, there will be a grand re-opening, tons and TONS of additioinal new products added to the store (great prices too), plus we already talked about faster and cheaper shipping; and more...

Oh, and did I mention that right now, every in-stock stamp set at Paper Pretties is ON SALE??? Yes they are!! Discounts range from 10 to 75% off, but MOST are in the 40 to 50% off range. That is a HUGE DEAL!! Go, go, go!

Oh wait, first, check out my challenge card! heehee. Our challenge theme this week is "summer", and nothing says summer more than laying out and catching some rays! This is Soakin' Up The Sun Sophia. Love that Sophia! She and her friend Cooper are what got me hooked on Paper Pretties in the first place. Dare I say....there will be lots more of Sophia and Cooper in our future!!!

I used Taylor's sketch for this week, {TESC118}. Here it is:

Thanks for stopping by! Head over to Heather's blog to finish off the hop, congratulate her on the store and then GO SHOPPING at the Prettie Boutique!

LPS Monday - Allison's Sketch

It's MONDAY!! Yay!! I love starting my week with a great challenge from the {Little Paper Shop}! For today's challenge {your uploading keyword is LPSC74}, we have a fun new sketch challenge for you! First off, here's my card, using one of my Top 5 favorites at the {Little Paper Shop}, {Beauty of Nature}.
And here's the sketch from DT member and all-around superwoman; Allison!

You can see I cheated a little (I prefer the term "got creative", of course). Since I used a sentiment as my main image I added ribbon at the bottom where the sketch calls for the sentiment. I went with brads up top for my embellishment, and I kept the shape the same there, love that idea! I chose a more "scenic" piece of patterned paper so that I'd have a little more going on when the card came together, this is some of the paper from the My Sweet Cherry Pie collection from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker. The little bird stamp is from Nikki too, it's not part of the sentiment. The flower at the bottom is from Prima, pearls are Zva Creative.

Be sure to visit the
LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! AND, if you play along with us you'll be entered to win this week's prize -- stamps from the {Little Paper Shop}!! Check out the details this morning - you have until Sunday night to enter by linking up on this week's post on the LPS store blog and the winner will be announced there next Monday morning. Can't beat free stamps AND an excuse to use them!

Super Brentwood!

Hello, Thursday!! Hope everyone is having a good week. I just have quick post today, I wanted to share this fun card I made awhile back with some of my Jessica Lynn Original Brentwood stamps. This is Super Brentwood, and I made him look like Super Why from the PBS cartoon because my kids just love the show.

Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copic markers. Cut out with Classic Circle and Pinking Circle Nestabilities. Papers from Basic Grey and Die Cuts With A View. Sentiment from Pink Cat Studio. Added glitter dots just for fun!

Thanks for stopping by today! See you tomorrow!

A Pirate Says...

Tuesday already! My mom is leaving bright and early (as in...it won't even be bright out) on Thursday so I need time to slow down a little bit! I hope everyone is having a great start to THEIR weeks. As promised, I've got another card featuring Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker products to share with you this morning.

The MOMENT I saw these adorable little Craft Flags I thought "aaaaah, pirates!". Maybe it's because I have two boys, but I knew they were prefect for this card idea I had knocking around.

I pulled the colors from this little envelope that came with two sheets of cardstock stickers in it (Pocket Full of Stickers - Red Crosshatch). This was I cut off the top of the envelope and put white cardstock on the back to make it usable/mailable (inside a clear envie). Then I stamped this little pirate guy (from Stampin' Up!) and colored him to coordinate. The sentiment is from the same set, and the image on the flag is from Pink Cat Studio. I used one of the die cut borders that came in the sticker pack to embellish the card, along with this Halloween Cuttlebug folder. The silver balls are the Michael's brand - love these, they're such a good deal cost-wise and they work great!

Here's a view with the card tucked inside the envelope. Could that BE more fun??

Thanks for stopping by today everyone! I am off to work, hope you all have a great day!

Here you can see alllllll the entries printed out (there were 91 including those sweethearts who got TWO CHANCES to win because they shared my link with their stampin' friends, thanks again ladies, I appreciate it!).

I went with printing and cutting (even though it's more work, LOL) because I have my lil' stampin' helper and he wanted to do this "project" with me. We printed everything and then he folded up all the "ingredients" (comments) and "started baking a paper cake".

Here we stir up our "cake"...

And then we have our WINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNER!!!!

Congratulations to HEATHER of HevScrap - it's your lucky day! Please send me an e-mail using the e-mail me link on the right sidebar with your contact info and I'll get this package sent out to you.
I have another new card already put together using some more of Nikki's products (it's WAY cute too, if I do say so myself, LOL!!) so stop back tomorrow to see that. Thanks everyone, hope your week is off to a great start!

Happy Friday night stampers!! I have a FAAAAAAAABULOUS treat for you here on my blog starting RIGHT NOW! You can probably guess from the post title {haha!} - I am still wiggling with excitement myself but I am going to try to calm down enough to give some info before I go back to jumping around and absolutely swooning over all these amazing products.

I have a lot of words today. I know, we are busy and it's hard to read them all. But in this case, you should. If you can't, then just read the ones that are bold or colored! It could REALLY pay off for you in the form of blog candy!! We all love that. This candy prize package has been *very generously* sponsored by the wonderful people at Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker. Take a look:

The company may be new to some of you, but having played with quite a few of their products over the last few weeks I can tell you that the quality you have here is extremely high. Nice, heavy-weight patterned papers in rich, vibrant colors and fabulously fun patterns. Excellent quality coordinating clear stamps, manufactured in the USA {no sticky acrylic or badly stamped images here!}. All of that plus a full line of 12x12 papers {I was working with the 6x6 pads, my favorite!}, chipboard albums, cardstock stickers, and several lines of embellishments including specialty buttons and brads. LOVE IT ALL!! Can I say that again?? Love love it. I do! Those who are regular blog followers know that I do NOT endorse products or retail shops that I don't personally use AND enjoy.

Right. But get back to the candy details Jen! I can do that! I received, as I said, a gorgeous box stuffed full of paper, stamps and embellishments from Lanie at
Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker. Thank you again Lanie! She included enough goodies for me AND for one of you, my awesome stampin' sistas! This prize includes the following:

But, now, if you are one of those fabulous girls who are so good about sharing candy posts with others out there in stamping land, I will give you TWO MORE entries into this yummy, yummy prize drawing for sharing my candy link and spreading the word! Just leave a second comment and let me know you've done so. Please note that this is NOT MANDATORY for entering the candy, but I do appreciate it, so I will reward you with a better chance to win!

This candy will remain open until Sunday, June 20th at 8 PM CST. I will draw the winner and post the results of the contest here on my blog! So go! Look! Daydream about all the shiny, fuzzy, bright, and pretty things. :) Don't forget to comment!

Now just in case you're looking for some inspiration to go along with your Friday night dreams of paper and stamps, I can help out! Once I got done drooling over all the beautiful papers, adorable images, and perfect embellies, I got to work stamping. This first one features the My Sweet Cherry Pie paper and stamps, plus one of those great corduroy brads (warm).

I decorated the inside! I don't do much of this but I COULD NOT resist with all these fun toys to play with! The inside of the above card also uses stamps from Will He B the 1:

Here's a sweet little baby announcement I made using the Willow Bee paper with Bella Blue and Oscar Too stamps and some of those great Burlap Buttons (I think these are my favorite product!):

This last one features the Flaming Butterfly paper and stamps:

Sweet Cherry Pie & Don't Forget the CANDY!

Hello again! I know I've been quiet, it's a busy week, my mom is visiting from Florida and we've been doing a lot of fun stuff (and a lot of work too -- LESS fun, LOL)! But I promised you some more inspiration using the gorgeous stamps, papers and embellishments that Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker carries, so I'm back for that! I will have something for your viewing pleasure tomorrow too.

Here's today's project, featuring the My Sweet Cherry Pie 6x6 papers, clear stamps, and some cardstock stickers from the Brown Curtain set. Just a simple layout to set off the fun patterns and colors in this great paper assortment. This pattern is in my Top 3 favorites from the various Nikki Sivils, Scarpbooker lines!
Once again I decorated the inside a little (twice in one week??) - crazy, right? I rarely do this, but am enjoying it, kind of a fun finishing touch; I may have to keep up this new trend!

Isn't that a cute sentiment? This one is going into my stash of Get Well/Thinking of You cards.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the card today! I'll see you tomorrow - hang in there, the weekend is coming! ;)

Prettie Wednesday!

It's Wednesday! That means it is time for another fun Wednesday Prettie Challenge and blog hop! This week's featured stamp sets at the Prettie Boutique are Lady Liberty and Canada Girl, and the challenge was to make a tri-fold card {PWC107}. Unfortunately, I don't have either of those stamp sets, so I wasn't able to participate.

BUT, I do still have a card for you!! I love this wedding set, and I especially love that the cake can be used for more than just wedding cards by changing the sentiment or just leaving the card blank on the front side.

Just a quick little 4.25" square card, for something different today. Hope you have a great day! I am the last stop on the hop, so head over to the Prettie Boutique, and visit the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's challenge!
