Polkadoodles Digi Choosday - Week 30: Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I hope your day is off to a great start. If it's not, it CAN be - it's Choosday over at Polkadoodles! That means a new Digi Choosday challenge, and a new DISCOUNT CODE for the Polkadoodles shop! Head over to the blog to grab it before your shopping spree!

Today's challenge is, as always, Anything Goes!

Today I've created a fun little gift set for an office mate or perhaps a teacher. This is a fun post-it note purse (velcro closure at the top above the handle, and note pad glued inside). I created this using a base paper from Tatty Twinkles Easter. It's scored at 5, 5.5, and 6" to create the little pocket hinge fold at the bottom, which accounts for the depth of the post-its inside. Punch your long oval at the top and add the velcro to keep it closed! So easy and CUTE! I've decorated the front using design sheet elements from Winnie Special Moments and Helga Hippo. The flower is from Octavia Frosted Winter, which I've fussy cut it out and layered it up for extra dimension and "pop".

I've also created a fast big paperclip bookmark to go along with the note purse, just using die cuts and ribbon.

That's it for my project details! Don't forget to head over to the blog to grab today's discount code! Then shop your heart out. Choosday is the best day!

I'm entering this into the following challenges -

Lemon Shortbread - #99: AG (2/3)
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - #110: AG (2/3)
QKR Stampede - #359: AG (1/3)
Pammie's Inky Pinkies - #1930: Wings (1/3)

I'm also entering this into the Petals for the Pittman's floral card fundraiser/linky contest. Check out THIS POST for all the information. I can't even imagine how difficult the family's struggle is right now. Consider checking out the awesome digi sets that have been assembled to help raise money. Jessica from Polkadot Orchard has done a mind-blowingly amazing job putting this together! I can't even share all the image photos here, there are too many!

Imagine That Digistamp - July Midinspiration

Good morning my dear stamping friends! I'm here today to share some inspiration for Imagine That Digistamp's "First Thursday" Challenge. That's right, the challenge is now monthly, on the ITD blog, complete with prizes!! The challenges start the first Thursday of each month and end on the last Tuesday before the new challenge begins. The theme is always Anything Goes. Click here for all the details.

On the first and third Thursdays of each month, there will be a new inspiration post on the Creative Playground blog featuring the Design Team's projects. This is great to get your fix of ITDBK DT project postings!

Today I've created a fun card using the Flamingo Christmas digi set. The set contains black and white and color images, plus sentiments. For today's card, I used the pre-colored image. I love having this option! This is one of my favorite Christmas images, and my mom loves it too, they live in Florida so it's PERFECT for her. I will probably end up sending this one to her at Christmas time (ssh, don't tell her!).

Sentiment is from Polkadoodles - Winter Wishes clear stamp set, which I've heat embossed onto the black cardstock using white embossing powder. The die around the main image is from Gina Marie Designs - Wonky Stitched Rectangle. Border made with Lawn Fawn Valentine Border die. Bow is about 18 years old, from my stash when I used to spend 37 hours a week stalking Hobby Lobby for....ANYTHING I CAN PUT ON A CARD! ;)

That's it for me today! Be sure to check out the Creative Playground for more ITDBK inspiration.

Today I'm back to summertime birthday basics with light, bright colors and a mermaid, of course! This is a 5.25" square card, and that gorgeous image is called Winnie Mermazing - Passing Time. I paired her with papers from Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles and the Rose Budd collection. My sentiment is from Winnie Celebrations 3 - such a fun one! You can see the Fanciful Circles 2nd largest die right behind the main panel - I love those dies, I really just find myself reaching for them all the time. Each of the layers beginning with the pink one are popped up on 1 or 2 layers of foam squares. I've been having so much fun with the foam squares lately - I think the depth adds so much interest to projects.

I printed miss mermaid onto Neenah Solar White 80# cover and hand colored her using my Copic Markers. I recently completed my Copic collection!! That was a beautiful day :D I buy all of my Copic products at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service.

Imagine That Digistamp - July Challenge Has Started!

Today I've created a fun card using the Punny Thanks digi set. The set contains black and white and color images, plus sentiments. For today's card, I colored up this funny sentiment/image using Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. The papers are digital papers from ITDBK as well, although I didn't realize they are retired.
