Happy Tuesday friends! Are you ready for your weekly dose of inspiration from Time For Tea Designs? I know I am! Don't forget that you can (and should) play along in our monthly challenge, for your chance to win free digis! Everyone loves free digis, am I right? The theme for our challenge is Anything Goes. My favorite! It's so easy to enter - just make something using your Time For Tea Designs images and post them! Share with the hashtag #timeforteadesigns so we can find them, and you're entered to win! Challenges run monthly, and we will have a spotlight and a prize winner at the end of each challenge.
Today's card features a scene that I put together using stamps from two different clear sets - Mew Are Pawsome and Butterflies. I built the scene around an olllllld Mojo Monday sketch from my sketchbook archives. I had fun playing around with making the sentiment pop. The best way I've found to line up my images when I'm creating a scene is with the MISTI - the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented (you gotta love that name!). I can put it all together, see how it fits, line it up, and then stamp away. No more mistakes or crookedness from "eyeballing it". I love my MISTI - it also helps if you flubbed the inking and need to get a spot darker or more clear - no guesswork when you're aligning everything. I've had it for a few years, but I'm trying to do a better job explaining things when I put my blog posts together, so I wanted to add that tip in today. :)
Oh and as always with Time For Tea Designs - don't forget to use my discount code: T4TJENNIFER10. It will save you 10% on your order from the Time For Tea shop! Yayyyy :)
I colored up this sweet kitty scene using my Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. I fussy cut the kitty and flower (these sets both have matching dies HERE and HERE, but I had my craft area half torn apart last week when I was making this and I couldn't find one of my boxes of dies). After they were cut, I arranged this little scene with the grass, hill, sun and clouds. The background dies come from LDRS Creative Super Scenes. Various layers are popped up with foam tape - thickness 1/16" up to 3/16".
I'm entering this into the following challenges -
