A Gem of a Challenge - Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start. This morning I'd like to announce that I've joined the group of amazing designers at A Gem of a Challenge - where we feature Pink Gems Designs digistamps available from the Polkadoodle digi store! Nikky carries a wide range of Pink Gems digis - you've got one stop shopping all under one umbrella here. There's something for everyone!

Our Gem of a Challenges run for 2 weeks, so you've got lots of time to link up. Check out the challenge blog HERE

Our challenge is, as always, Anything Goes! Yay!

For today's project I've created a sweet boy's birthday card featuring Ella Elephant Heart Balloon. My sentiment can be found in the Helga Hippo sentiment bundle from Polkadoodles.

To start with, I printed out this fun background paper from Little Dudes Rugby/Football onto cardstock and cut it to size from the template. After I scored it and did a test fold, I sized and printed my sweet Boo image Party Friends onto Neenah white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. Wonky stitched oval dies from Gina Marie Designs. Papers from Kaiser Craft. The acrylic Boy sentiment is from a huge stash I picked up at a local craft shop garage sale...if you know what the brand is, PLEASE TELL ME! Embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Tons of foam tape on the various layers, for extra dimension.

I'm entering this into the following challenges -

Artistic Inspirations - #215: AG (unlimited)

Through The Craft Room Door - AG (2/2)
Crafty Sentiments - May 7: AG (1/1)
Crafting from the Heart - #242: AG (3 of 3)

Don't forget to join in to our Anything Goes challenge via the link up at the Pink Gem Challenge Blog for your chance to win!

Polkadoodles' NEW RELEASE - Mer-Mazing Winnie

This weekend we are getting some much needed Vitamin SEA with the debut of the new Winnie Mer-Mazing Mermaid collection! Each of the 6 new digital stamps is available in black and white and/or color, and there's also an AMAZING VALUE big bundle that features all of the images, 6 coordinating digital papers, and 11 mermaid sentiments! You can see the big bundle HERE.

For my second project, I've used the image Collecting Shells. Isn't she lovely??

I decided to go with a bit of a softer color palette here, peach & green. I've colored Miss Mermaid with Copic markers, and added clear Wink of Stella over her hair and on some of the seaweed. The bubbles were done with my new iridescent Nuvo Dream Drops. I've paired her with papers from Tatty Twinkles and Work & Play 10. The sentiment is from the Mer-Mazing Big Bundle. I've also used the Fanciful Circles nested die set on the main image.

I'm entering this into the following challenges -

Artistic Inspirations - #215: AG (unlimited) Through The Craft Room Door - AG (1 of 2)
Crafting from the Heart - #242: AG (2 of 3)
Colour Crazy - Week 18: AG (2 of 2)
Crafty Catz - #461: AG/Twist of Female (2 of 3)

For my second project, I've used the image Octopus Kisses. SO SWEET!

I was particularly excited about this gorgeous images because mermaid hair is just the MOST FUN to color, in my opinion. You've got so many options to explore! The sentiment and some of the papers are from the Mer-Mazing Big Bundle, the rest of the papers are from Rose Budd. My seaweed die is from Gina Marie Designs.

Ok...the rest of the original post-

Today's project features more of the new release stamps, dies and stencils that dropped yesterday. These are available exclusively from Create & Craft TV. I've used stamps and dies from the Butterflies collection, along with the lovely script sentiment from the stand alone die set Scalloped Frames & Script to create this cutaway shaker card. There are SO many foam squares on this project, it sits about 1/2" tall! I couldn't help myself :D

I've stamped the butterfly and flower from the all-new stamp set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored them with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their fast shipping and awesome service. I cut them out with the coordinating dies.

To create the shaker feature, I used Peekaboo Square die set from Gina Marie Designs on my SU Shimmer White cardstock panel. I made the box using foam tape and acetate, and the shaker mix is from Craftin' Desert Divas. I stamped the sentiment onto Shimmer white and cut it out with a flag banner die from Paper Smooches. All the elements are popped up on foam dots at varying heights. I dry embossed the background panel underneath the shaker box with a Tim Holtz paper airplane/dotted line embossing folder.

I hope you enjoyed my project today! If you've got a moment, head over to join our FB communityfollow us on Instagram, and don't forget to play along with our monthly challenges by tagging #timeforteadesigns - so easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Imagine That Digistamp - May Challenge Inspiration

Good morning my dear stamping friends! I'm here today to share some inspiration for Imagine That Digistamp's "First Thursday" Challenge. That's right, the challenge is now monthly, on the ITD blog, complete with prizes!! The challenges start the first Thursday of each month and end on the last Tuesday before the new challenge begins. The theme is always Anything Goes. Click here for all the details.

On the first and third Thursdays of each month, there will be a new inspiration post on the Creative Playground blog featuring the Design Team's projects. This is great to get your fix of ITDBK DT project postings!

Today I've created a fun card using the Punny Thanks digi set. The set contains black and white and color images, plus sentiments. I printed it out and colored by hand using Copic markers. The brown paper layer is from the Glitter Galore paper pack, and my red background layer uses a paper from the Lil Cowpokes kit.

Die from Gina Marie (X Stitch Hexagon dies). The border on the glitter layer is an oldddd Fiskars border punch. Sequins from Doodlebug. Embossing folder from Cuttlebug. Stitched Hill border die from Lawn Fawn.

That's it for me today! Be sure to check out the Creative Playground for more ITDBK inspiration.
