Polkadoodles' Digi Choosday - Week 51: Anything Goes!

I LOVE a slimline card! Add in some interaction and it's a WINNER for sure! What's not to love with this ice skating action? Bella Bear is gliding over to see her friend Agnes Elephant on the ice. 

The entire scene is hand-colored using Copic markers. Fluffy clouds courtesy of the cloud landscape stencil and Distress Oxide inks. A lovely pine from the Layering Trees die finishes off the scene!  but popped it up on foam tape for some dimension.

Are you ready for this week's TOO CUTENESS? I'm just LOVE-loving the Christmas Fishes digi set - cute, punny and perfect for all your Christmas card needs!

I've used elements from the Christmas Fishes Big Kahuna bundle for my project - can't go wrong with a good pun! I built this underwater scene with this fun background plate die and different colors of blue cardstock. Nuvo drops complete the scene with their bubbly fun!

Polkadoodles' Digi Choosday - Week #49: Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to Choosday. We've got a new Digi Choosday challenge, and a new DISCOUNT CODE for the Polkadoodles shop! Head over to the blog to grab it before your shopping spree!

Today's challenge is, as always, Anything Goes!

I LOVE a slimline card! Today I've built a frosty underwater scene using lots of images and elements from the Too Cute Christmas Fishes Big Kahuna bundle. I've got lots of mixed and matched cuties here, along with that "punny" Santa Claws sentiment. I created the scene digitally by merging the different images.

The entire scene is hand-colored using Copic markers. I've added some Nuvo drops on the fish and as bubbles in the water. The sun rays were hand drawn using a stencil guide (Scene It), and then colored with markers. I added some extra bubbles using FSJ white pigment ink and my Making Waves stencil. Slimline dies from Gina Marie Designs (Plain and Scalloped). The sentiment flag die is from this Mini Frame set, and I colored it the same sandy tones, but popped it up on foam tape for some dimension.

After I merged and colored this fun snow globe element, I used by Scan N Cut to cut around the outside. I created the background with stencils and Distress Oxide Ink, and the table top is done in Copic marker. Then I used my Versamark ink pad to smoosh ink over the entire globe area so I could heat emboss with Hologram Highlights embossing powder to create that "just shaken" falling glitter look inside the main image.

Are you ready for this week's TOO CUTENESS? Halloween is my favorite holiday, and my favorite reason to make cards too! In honor of Halloween, I've created this adorably spooky scene!

I've used Giant Hugs Elephant for my main image today, with the background coming from the Witchie Witchie download bundle. Love that haunted backdrop! He's all dressed up for Halloween with the witch's hat from the Winnie Wednesday collection - image Winnie Wednesday Witch & Cat. I color printed the image then cut out the hat and used it on the elephant today! The broom and broom parking sign are also from the Witchie bundle.

I built my color palette around this gorgeous background paper from Winnie Celebrations 3. I've added in some complimentary colors and patterns but I stuck with the purple and green combo. So fresh and fun! Sentiment is from Winnie Celebrations 1.

I've used Too Cute - Hello Spring to create my card today. I printed these sweet boys onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with Copic Markers - I buy all of mine at Scrapbookpal.com for their low prices and fast shipping. 

I decided to go with a fresh spring color palette today, and I've made this more of a note card than a full sized card so that the image really grabs the attention. My rectangle dies are from Gina Marie Designs (Stitched Rectangles and Scalloped Stitched Rectangles) and the leafy sprigs are from Polkadoodles - Super Sprigs (love this die!)
