PWC102 - Storytime

It's Wednesday! That means it is time for another fun Prettie Wednesday Challenge and blog hop from Paper Pretties! This week our challenge comes from the incredibly talented Prettie Girl Frances! I always love Frances' sketches!

This week the design team will be featuring the sets Story Time Sophia or Aloha Sophia. I absolutely LOVE both of these stamp sets! Both stamp sets featured this week will be on sale for 35% off all week. Also be sure to check out the new digi stamp section of the boutique, Christie is adding new digis all the time (there are several adorable Sophia and Cooper digi stamps)!

For my card I used Story Time Sophia. She's a sweetheart!

I also incorporated a color challenge -
Copic Colour Challenge #63. Here is the swatch, so pretty!

If you are just starting at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start the blog hop from the beginning. You definitely won't want to miss any of the stops! If you are following the hop, I'm the last stop, so head over to the Prettie Boutique and Forum to shop this week's specials!

PWC101 - A Little Late

It's Wednesday! I knew it, but somehow I had a brain fry and forgot all about my card for today!! ACK! So I have it now, and for good measure I added in some challenges. I am so sorry I was lame this morning!

Right, YOU probably remember that Wednesday means it is time for another fun Prettie Challenge and blog hop! Our challenge this week was to make a card and use at least one punch.

This week the design team will be using either the set
Soakin Up the Sun or Rainy Day Friends. These are both adorable Sophia sets and both stamp sets featured this week will be on sale for 35% off all week. Also be sure to check out the new digi stamp section of the boutique, Christie is adding new digis all the time (there are several adorable Sophia and Cooper digi stamps)!

For my card I used the set
Soakin Up the Sun. I love this one! Sophia looks soooo relaxed. I could use some of that right about now!

Aaahhhh!!!!

The challenge info - I used this super fun sketch from this week's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge (SSSC66). It was perfect for lazy sunshine Sophia today so I took advantage of that! Thanks for the great sketch Karen! Here it is:

For the colors (think....Carribean...ahhhhh again!), I went with the new Copic Colour Challenge today (#62). Love it, great choices this week girls, thank you!

I am also adding in The Pink Elephant (TPE64) which asked for AQUA. I love Aqua! And you know I love TPE challenge, it's been a few weeks since I've played so I'm excited to get back into the swing of my "standard" weekly challenges!

Ok, that's it for me so I can get this posted. If you are just starting at my blog, head on over to
Christie's blog to start from the beginning. You definitely won't want to miss any of the stops! If you are following the hop, I'm the last one, so head over to the Prettie Boutique and Forum and check out the goods!

ALSO, a quick note from
Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!! Don't forget about the INCREDIBLE blog candy Susana is giving away to celebrate the upcoming Elisabeth Bell release! Stop on by the SCACD store blog for all of the details, you have until tomorrow night to enter!

LPS Preview - {Behind the Scenes} HOP!

Hello and welcome to our first day of sneak peeks for the {Little Paper Shop} April release! We have a lot going on for the next few days as we are celebrating our two year anniversary this month. YES, {Little Paper Shop} is now 2 years old. Woohoo!! You have made this such a fun two years for us and we are so happy to be celebrating this time with you. We are going to be having lots of fun stuff going on so make sure and tune in every day, now through Tuesday -- release day. EACH DAY we will have a BLOG HOP with a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the {Little Paper Shop}!! Read on to find out how YOU can enter to win!

I just KNOW that everyone out there loves winning new stamps, right? Want to win even more? Since this is our 2-Year Birthday Celebration, we will be doing something special this month on release day. One person who participates in the special Birthday Challenge on Tuesday, April 20th will win a $35 Gift Certificate (WOW!!) to the LPS store. More details on that challenge as closer to the release.

Today we are previewing a new set called BEHIND THE SCENES. This is a set of three large background stamps featuring extremely versatile patterns. Here is my project - clean and simple for today, a quick but elegant card. There are those out there who would be so proud of me for embracing the white space (you know who you are!). I let the image speak for itself and it says "heck yeah, you don't need another patterned paper layer, you have ME!!". These are going to be very handy stamps to have around!
I used the Copic Colour Challenge for this week on today's project (#60). I know, not a lot of Copics on here, I added some darker highlighting (lowlighting?) to my background image, and custom-colored the yellow oval layer (it started off white). Pretty straightforward card, but I like the results!
Now how do you win that $10 Gift Certificate to the store today? Easy! Leave a comment on each DT member's blog post for today. That's it! For each person that leaves a comment on ALL the DT members' blogs, you will be entered in to the random drawing to win!

Now, if you are arriving here from Allison's blog you're right on track! If not, then head back over to the
LPS store blog to start from the beginning. Make sure you don't miss any blogs along the way!

Your next stop on the hop is DT Mama Pam! Hope you have fun hoppin' with us today! :) Check back with us tomorrow for Day 2 of the April Previews and another chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the store.

TIOT63 & Copic Colour 59

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fun Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT63} is Emboss It - anything embossing is ok with us - Cuttlebug folders, heat, dry; it's all good!

I chose
Little Aud from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD set - Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for a savings of over 30% off the price of the stamps bought individually? That's a heck of a deal!

I added in a color challenge for today, this is Copic Colour Challenge #59, here is the swatch:

Today's card details - I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Of course I pulled the colors from this challenge, first I found some great patterned paper that had the colors and feel I wanted (Die Cuts With A View - Cafe Mediterrean) and then found my colors for Miss Aud. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. Some layered Prima flowers and leaves, and my new favorite thing, a Prima mini rose to top it all off. Some teal-colored twill knotted up underneath there to bring it all together. Susana is totally restocked on Primas right now, so get 'em while they're hot!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see you get your embossing on!!

Also a quick note, Paper Pretties has introduced a new special, $2 Tuesdays. Every Tuesday there will be a new special in the Paper Pretties store an item or two on sale for $2. Visit the Prettie Boutique for all the details.

That's it for me, I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping!

A Try It Out Tuesday Sketch

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT61} is a sketch! My favorite {did you know that already?? LOL!}.

I chose
Little Danni from the newly released Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today's project. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for over 30% off the individual price? That's a deal!

I added in some other challenge to today's card too. But first, here is my card:

And here is the sketch by Suzanne:

Today's card details - all patterned paper from Basic Grey - the ultimate!! Susana has the BRAND NEW Kioshi and Green at Heart BG patterns up on the store website RIGHT NOW, so hurry over to snag yours! As you can see I'm loving the Kioshi! I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. I have the matching Kioshi brads in the ticket corner holes, and used some Kaisercraft Pearls for my corner element from the sketch.

The other challenges for this card - Cupcake Craft Challenge blog {CCC84} this week was looking for a Spring card with lots of CHOCOLATE {the color}. I've got plenty here! I actually had planned to make her blonde but changed to brunette to go along with this challenge a bit better. And the best part is -- loving her as a brunette!

I also used a color challenge {my SECOND favorite, haha!} from the Copic Colour Challenge blog {#57}, here is the swatch:

I had already decided to incorporate the brown, perfection, and I didn't have any of the really dark olive greens, so I went lighter and used the Kioshi paper instead. They say you can get close if you don't have the match, so....that's what I did! Thanks ladies for the fun colors!

Lastly, I try to do The Pink Elephant Challenge every week and this week is PASTELS {TPE60}. How perfect is that?? Spring is in the air in the stamping world!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see your sketchy creations. I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping & big hugs to all my readers!

Allison!
Thanks Allison! I used the smaller heart image from {In Love} here, and the sentiment is from {Tweet Wishes Lucy}. Paper is from Basic Grey - the new Kioshi pattern. PTI spring mix buttons. Hard to see in the picture but I added Dazzling Diamonds on top of the colored heart for some sparkle.

I chose Kioshi paper and these lovely spring colors to play along with the Copics Colour Challenge {#56} this week - here is the swatch for reference, so pretty!Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! TIOT58 - Buttons Everywhere!

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT58} is to create a project using BUTTONS! Lots of buttons, buttons used in creative ways, it's allllll about buttons over here today! Good one - you know I've never met an embellishment I didn' like, and buttons are SO big right now!

Here is my card:

I have chosen another of the BEAUTIFUL newly released images from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design - from the amazing collection of EXCLUSIVE images, Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler Edition 3 -- meet New Friends! She is just absolutely darling. I love the bird and her sweet little pose. Perfect!

I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with her today, so I went looking for a color challenge. This one fit right in with my spring frame of mind - those girls over at the Copic Colour Challenge blog have some great ideas! This is challenge #54 - here's the swatch for reference:
Today's card details - I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen. I cut her out with Nestabilities Labels 3, added some background stippling, and sponged my edges. For all your Nestabilities needs, Susana has all the first release 2010 nesties IN STOCK so head over, I have not seen them *anywhere* else yet! Then I paired her up with some new American Crafts patterned paper, perfect for spring and my little bird's song!

Of course I didn't make that perfect bow on my own. Check out the Bow Easy - perfect bows every time! And to learn how to use it, just watch the video tutorial that Suzanne made. It's...EASY!! My yellow button on top of the bow comes from the "Butternut" Color Me button collection from Dress It Up. I bought EVERY ONE of the color packs of these from Susana, they are amazingly handy for little extra touches here and there and right now they are on sale!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT creations, we'd love to see your button-ful creations. Before you go on with your day, BE SURE to stop over at the SCACD store blog today and enter to win THE MOST YUMMIEST blog candy around! Yep, she's at it again, we have another new release coming up THIS FRIDAY and Susana's giving away another amazing prize package to celebrate. Don't miss out!

A Prettie Challenged Preview

Hello stampers! It's preview time already for the upcoming March Paper Pretties release; today is one of my days to showcase a sneak peek! The new stamp sets and digital images will be available to purchase on March 1st. Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team blogs this week for more peeks!

My card today uses one of the new digi stamps, I'm Sorry Cooper. Not quite sure what he's been up to, but I'm sure that whatever it is, my boys will be copying it soon!

I printed Cooper on PTI white and colored with Copic Markers according to this week's challenge over at the Copics Colour Challenge blog (CCC53 - see swatch below). How perfect for this little stinker! I added in some some blue to fit this great new Cafe Mediterranean paper from Die Cuts With A View.

Fairly straightforward on the rest of the project. For the corner element (this is a sketch challenge, info below) I used three of my fun American Crafts Elements buttons - these are solid silver. American Crafts has great embellishment items in a whole slew of colors. I like them a lot, I have some of the glittery buttons too and those have been getting a lot of use. Check out the selection in Susana's store! I thought these were perfect today both because they go along with the color scheme and they are not "too girly", as so many of my stash of goodies seem to be, heehee!

I also used a sketch challenge today, since I love doing them! This is this week's from the Friday Sketchers challenge blog (#90), which I discovered because my talented DT sister Aud from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design is on their DT! Thanks Aud - great ideas!

Also a quickie product news flash, SCACD is carrying some of the new Pink Cat stamps coming out today, and another new product (I have yet to try it but I am intrigued), TA DA Tsukineko PSST Spritz. Hmm... Check them all out here.

That's it for me! You can head over to The Paper Clip when you're through here for more info and inspiration on this upcoming release. See you Saturday with another peek!

WELCOME from Dianne's blog, you are right where you should be! I'm so pleased to present my contribution to this beautiful new collection's debut, featuring the "Oh Baby" image. What a DARLING little cutie-patootie, don't you think??

I know you're anxious to continue the party train, so I'll just hit the highlights here. I stamped my baby in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored her with Copic markers. I added some highlights with the Ranger white gel pen when I was done there. Die Cuts With A View patterned paper here; some subtle bling for today. Kaisercraft pearls in the corner and she's all set!

I incorporated a few challenges, you know how much I'm loving that lately! This is the 100th sketch from Taylored Expressions {TESC100}, very nice. I play along over there quite a bit and what a fun milestone! Also, this week the ladies over at Cupcake Craft Challenges {CCC78} would like us to Keep It Simple, which I was all about today because I really wanted this beautiful little one to be the focal point on today's project. The colors came from this week's Copic Colour Challenge #52. Just gorgeous - happy and sweet! I can tell you that I am very much looking forward to spring! LPS Preview - {Tweet Wishes Lucy}

It's MONDAY!! Hah, do you love the enthusiasm? Well we started off yesterday with new PREVIEWS for the February release from the {Little Paper Shop}, and we are continuing that party train today! This is {Tweet Wishes Lucy}, another fun set in the Lily & Lucy series. Julia has outdone herself with these little darlings. Isn't she SWEET?? I had a lot of fun with her. Remember, release day is tomorrow!

For my project today, I started off by stamping Miss Lucy in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white and coloring her with Copics. My color scheme came from this week's Copic Colour Challenge {CCC51}, which matched up SO WELL with this newest Basic Grey Sugar Rush, I just about jumped for joy! Stamped the sentiment directly onto the DP, and roughed up all the edges using the Tonic distress tool. That's a matching BG Sugar Rush stitched brad at the top, along with some of the AMAZING Prima mini roses (I know, where have I been that I only just now got these?!?!?!) for the corner element and she's ready to go!

I used a sketch to make this card; actually, I used the same sketch that I used yesterday! It just fit so well, heehee. I flipped it though, and I think it brings a whole new look! ;-) This is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #60 {MTSC60}. This one is for the current week, a new sketch will be up tomorrow. Here it is for reference:

And here's the Copic Colour Challenges swatch too. I did pretty well matching the colors on this one!
Lastly, over at Crazy 4 Challenges, they wanted to see RED cards this week, and this one has plenty! Check out the crazies - this is C4C24!
Be sure to visit the LPS store blog today and enter a comment for a chance to win this set! It's also the start of a new weekly challenge {LPSC55 is the keyword for public forum uploads}; and you know that when a challenge falls on release week, Julia gives away an EXTRA set to a lucky challenge participant! This week's is easy - add distressing to your project. I roughed up all of my edges and chose paper that had a bit of a distressed look to it as well. Link up on the challenge post on the LPS store blog to enter!

Before I go, a quick candy announcement! Susana's Custom Art and Card Design has some Cute-a-Palooza is coming your way this Friday, February 19th, with THE YUMMIEST blog candy beginning TODAY on the SCACD store blog. You DO NOT want to miss this one, there are NEW STAMPS coming your way from Elisabeth Bell for SCACD - and that's all I'm saying!

Aurora For The Weekend!

TGIF everyone!! Boy it's been a long week, I am looking forward to the weekend.

Today I wanted to share a card I made last week (but didn't get a chance to post), just for fun, featuring my favorite little sprite, Aurora from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I know you've heard me talking all about The Aurora Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD, and believe it or not, this is the only one that hadn't been inked yet. So she's getting her turn to shine today, heehee. This is Aurora at Home.

I stamped my Aurora in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut her out to size and put her together the mats and layers. The rest is all patterned paper {new Basic Grey Bittersweet, yummy!}, ribbon and Butternut Color Me buttons, which Susana has on sale right now for 50% off! I love these, I have lots of colors and I reach for them quite often. I added some Kaisercraft rhinestones and flower rhinestones.

I had two challenges with this card, although as I said, they were from last week so I'm late getting it up! Sketch is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch #59, and the color inspiration is from the Copic Colour Challenge, this is #50.

Before I go, some store news! You may have noticed it's about that time already, and some Cute-a-Palooza is coming your way on February 19th, with THE YUMMIEST blog candy beginning on the 15th on the SCACD store blog. You DO NOT want to miss this one, and that's all I'm saying for today!

Also, some more new CHA products are rolling in at the Susana's Custom Art and Card Design store, along with everything I mentioned last week, new Primas have landed too!

Hope everyone has a great weekend, I'll see you back here Sunday for the first of the {Little Paper Shop} February previews!

A Prettie Wedding Card

Hello stampers! Well, it's Wednesday already, which is Paper Pretties day; with a new blog hop and challenge each week! This week we have a sketch challenge! My favorite!

Here is my contribution to today's inspration parade:

I stamped Time For Cake in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white. The cardstock is Blush Blossom. DP is from Target $1 spot and also DCWV glitter mat stack. Ribbon is from my stash. Did you notice the PERFECT bow??? It's the Bow Easy! Love love love it! The amazing Suzanne Dean has an easy-to-follow video tutorial showing how you too can create perfect bows with this simple tool! Check them out at Susana's store. Added a new glitter button from American Crafts to top it off and this card is ready to go!

I incorporated a color challenge (actually two) with this week's card too, fun fun! The Pink Elephant is always one of my first stops when I'm on a challenge hunt, and this week's was PINK (TPE52)! Um, yes, LOL. I'm all over that! I wanted soft and sweet for this card, and I have also been really loving the Copic Colour Challenges lately, really great combinations and of course I ALWAYS use my Copics! This was a nice, subtle combo, CCC49, which was perfect with these blushing pinks. Here is the swatch for reference:
That's it for me! You can head over to The Paper Clip when you're through here for more info and inspiration. Or, if you are just starting the hop here at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning.

This week's challenge {TIOT51} is to create an altered item featuring one of the newly released images from The Aurora Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD! For my image I chose Aurora Takes A Break, featuring coffee!!!I stamped my darling Aurora in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. After she was colored up, I embellished with the Ranger Inkssentials white gel pen -- the bestest!! I loves 'em, they alllllllllllways work, woohoo! Then I cut her out to size and put her together the mats and layers. The rest is all patterned paper {new Basic Grey Origins, yummy!}, ribbon and Petaloo Dazzler flowers! These are so fun and no glitter mess for you glittery nay-sayers, heehee! The glitter is in the paper and they are pre-rhinestoned too. :)

I incorporated a color challenge with this week's challenge too, fun fun! I have been really loving the Copic Colour Challenges lately, really great combinations and of course I ALWAYS use my Copics! This is CCC47, and here is the swatch for reference:
