Good afternoon all my lovelies! Do you love all of the Christmas beauty you've been seeing from Polkadoodles! Yes! And the latest additions are wonderful high quality CLEAR POLYMER STAMPS! Yes, you read that right, these are physical stamps, not digis.
Now, you know I love my digis, but sometimes it is nice to have a REAL stamp that you can get inky and creative with. I agree! Here's my next inspiration project for the release, featuring the adorable Deer-est Friends stamp set. I am so amazed by all the stamps in this release - look how sweet these two are. This image rounds out my Top 3 for this release I think...but wow those are some hard choices because they are all just gorgeous. These sets are selling fast, so if you're loving them, don't wait! You can see them all HERE.
I created a fun winter sky background for this card, and I'm really wishing I had done a tutorial for it! I really like how it turned out. I used Distress Oxide inks, some masking, a lot of elbow grease, and a Kiriana wink pen in white for the stars after I got the Distress Oxide action going with the ink. The snowy hills are die cuts and I've added Stickles to her wings and the tops of the hills. They're put together with lots of foam tape layers for extra dimension. The trees in the background are stamped in the Black Soot oxide ink from the Winter Flurries stamp set. Little Miss and her deer friend are watercolored using watercolor pencils and a paint brush. I'm still really, REALLY working on improving my watercoloring...I've got a ways to go, but sometimes it's nice to dabble in other media when you're creating!
