First off today, I am super excited to announce that Cindy Haffner is joining us at Paper Pretties for the next few months as a Guest Designer!  She is sooooo talented and sweet, I know I can't wait to see her creations.  Welcome Cindy!

This week is a "first Wednesday", so our challenge (keyword: PWC117) is a SKEEEETCH from our very own Frances!!  Always love Frances' sketches and this one is no exception!  Here is my contribution using Celebrate Sophia.  I think she is just such a darling.

Here is the sketch.  As you can see, I used some Razzmatazz Glitter Dots for the circles here, one of my favorite embellishments!!

Paper Pretties and Oh, Alice!

Helloooo to the weekend!!  And the end of August too, eek!  I know I've been away from my blog the last week or so, but school is starting soon and I'm sure then I'll think things are TOO quiet around here and miss my baby terribly!  But on the bright side, I should have more stamping time.  :)  Let's stay positive!

But I am alive and back with a post today because Paper Pretties is sponsoring the Oh, Alice! Challenge Blog!!  How GREAT is that?!  This week's challenge (Chapter 28) is to make a card for a little girl.  hmm...do you think Paper Pretties might possibly have a couple of stamps that'll work for that challenge??  

Well it was a tough choice, I was absolutely flooded with ideas as I flipped through my Sophias.  BUT, I had not had a chance to use this sweet new fairy yet; she was just released two weeks ago during the Paper Pretties grand reopening -- this is Garden Fairy Katie.  She was demanding some time with the Copics, so here you go!

I added in some other challenges, of course!  I used Mercy's sketch for this week (MTSC88), which is here: 

And I also used this week's ColourQ (CQC47); at least I meant to.  I literally just now realized that the blue was Bermuda, not Baja.  I must have written it down wrong, eek!  Well, I chose everything else based on those colors so I'm going to go with it.  I'm not sure I have any Bermuda paper anyway.  :)  Here's the swatch:

This week our challenge (keyword: PWC115) is to use a SUMMER THEME for your project!!!  Easy peasy lemon squeezy, don'cha think??  We'd love you to play along!  Here is my contribution using Swing On By Sophia.

Love this new stamp set!  She and 11 other AMAZING sets jam packed with images and sentiments are available now in the Prettie Boutique.  They are a fabulous value with all of the extras you get.  Heather is really spoiling us!

The red patterned paper in the background is from the Memory Box Beach 6x6 collection.  Pretty appropriate for summer, don't ya think?  The Wasabi patterned paper is from SU, as is the Baja cardstock.  PTI white for my main image.  Sophia is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  Flowers and buttons mainly from my stash, the Baja corduroy button has Scrapper's Floss tied through the holes.

I am so excited, I got to incorporate some other challenges with this week's card as well!  I used a sketch from the Corrosive Challenge Blog (#76) here it is:

And of course my favorite color challenge, the ColourQ!  This is CQC46 (I admit I had to go with "next closest" on a few of the colors since I didn't have them all, but I think I matched up pretty well):

I was also inspired by the recipe challenge over at Paper Sundaes - fast becoming a go-to favorite challenge blog - this week (#31) is a recipe - 4 flowers, 3 buttons and 2 patterned papers.  Sweet!!

Tuesday Morning Sketches with Paper Pretties

Here is my project, made using the alternate version of the instructions and Tire Swing Cooper, just released last week from Paper Pretties during the Grand Re-Opening Celebration!  I think he's having fun, don't you?!?  I left my tags blank so I can add sentiments later and use this card for whatever I need.

Hello and welcome to the second day of our August previews here at the {Little Paper Shop}! We have more fabulousness to show you today with another fun and witty sentiment set called {Fabulous Phrases}. These are *so fun* and really useful.  I reach for sets such as this all the time and I love the mix & match we have!  Release day is tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Jackie - a Prettie Birthday Hop!

Hello and happy Sunday!  Today we want to wish a very special Happy Birthday to one of our Paper Pretties Prettie Girls, Jackie!  Hope you have a fabulous day Jackie!  


I made this card to share for Jackie's birthday.  This is one of the TWELVE new stamp sets that were released on Thursday from Paper Pretties - Celebrate Sophia. I just love the look on her face, she's having such a great time!


This is a Mojo Monday sketch from a few weeks ago, I thought all the layers would be perfect with this great Memory Box Beach 6x6 paper.  Such fun, bright summer colors!!  I was actually inspired to used them from the Gingersnap Challenge (GC64) - red, orange and yellow.  I colored little Sophia to match the papers (the flowers on her dress are TOO MUCH, I wanna snuggle her!).


I used "out of the box" with Nestabilities on the main image, cut the balloon out completely and repositioned it with a thin black wire attached behind her hand.
