Birthday Best - LPSC82 and More!

It's MONDAY!! What better way to start off the week than with another great challenge from the {Little Paper Shop}!  Before I get to that, I'd like to welcome the two newest members of the LPS design team!!  Joining us September 1st are Joy Hadden (a current guest designer!) and Cheryl Walker!

For today's challenge {your uploading keyword is LPSC82}. We have a pretty color challenge for you to try out; Light Blue, Red and Cocoa! Who doesn't enjoy a good color challenge??  We have some color gurus here at LPS!  Here is my card using {Lily and Lucy Messages}.

PWC115 and More - Summer Fun!

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! Remember, Paper Pretties has returned to the BLOG FORMAT for store news, information, etc....aaaaaand the PWC!  Having the blog back means that we've got a linking system and PRIZES!!!  Woooooot!!  Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details and your chance to win!

This week our challenge (keyword: PWC115) is to use a SUMMER THEME for your project!!!  Easy peasy lemon squeezy, don'cha think??  We'd love you to play along!  Here is my contribution using Swing On By Sophia.

Love this new stamp set!  She and 11 other AMAZING sets jam packed with images and sentiments are available now in the Prettie Boutique.  They are a fabulous value with all of the extras you get.  Heather is really spoiling us!

The red patterned paper in the background is from the Memory Box Beach 6x6 collection.  Pretty appropriate for summer, don't ya think?  The Wasabi patterned paper is from SU, as is the Baja cardstock.  PTI white for my main image.  Sophia is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers.  Flowers and buttons mainly from my stash, the Baja corduroy button has Scrapper's Floss tied through the holes.

I am so excited, I got to incorporate some other challenges with this week's card as well!  I used a sketch from the Corrosive Challenge Blog (#76) here it is:

And of course my favorite color challenge, the ColourQ!  This is CQC46 (I admit I had to go with "next closest" on a few of the colors since I didn't have them all, but I think I matched up pretty well):

I was also inspired by the recipe challenge over at Paper Sundaes - fast becoming a go-to favorite challenge blog - this week (#31) is a recipe - 4 flowers, 3 buttons and 2 patterned papers.  Sweet!!
