Happy Valentine's Day!! I wanted to share with you the Valentines I made for DS #1's preschool class. I used this super cute robot from the Stampendous Love Botz set {from Limelight Papercrafts}. These tall and skinny cards are called "Scraplings" and were really easy, the finished size is 2" by 4.25". I scored the white paper, then cut it into 2" strips the "short" way. The red panel is 1.75" by 4" so I got lots out of one sheet of cardstock. Really hard to see in the picture but the red paper is dry embossed with lots of little hearts. Jami sent me one of these scraplings cards with some ribbon candy I won from her {thanks again Jami!}, which was the first time I saw these cuties! I knew they would be perfect for the kiddos.
I colored the robots with my Copics, cut them out and stuck them on with dimensionals. The funky cord/ribbon at the bottom is from my mom's stash, I thought it kinda looked like wires so it would add a fun touch to the cards. After I took the picture I added Tootsie Pops to the back of each one for a little treat.
Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow is the FIRST PREVIEW of the new Little Paper Shop stamp set releases for February, so be sure to come back for a peek at that!!! Also, there is still time to enter this week's sketch challenge on the LPS blog for a chance to WIN one of the new release sets - check it out! Free stamps are a GOOD THING!
