Limelight Valentine's Day Project!

Hello everyone! TGIF! It is supposed to be warmer here today so I am hoping for pool weather for the kids. Gotta get it while we can - we head back to frigid Wisconsin next week, eek!! Although at least I'll have my normal camera back and all my links, let me say, you don't realize how much you NEED the computer until you're away from it. But again, I'll take the sunshine and nice temperatures while I can!

Well, in the meantime, I have something special for you today! Today is the big reveal of the Limelight Papercrafts Design Team's "big project" for the month. This month was to make a Valentine's Day gift and card for a friend. How FUN!! Also, going on now at the Limelight Papercrafts webstore, select Valentine's Day items are 20% off. Great prices to begin with, and now a SALE!! I will meet you over there, you can view all the important details here.

Here is my Gift contribution for the DT this month. The little mailbox is from the Target {Twenty-Five} Dollar spot. *wink*. I covered it with some black cardstock and then added papers from the Basic Grey Bittersweet 6x6 pad. LOVE THESE PAPERS!!! I added a bunch of flowers that I had painted with Pink Poinsettia and Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz (those are brads in the center of the flowers but it's hard to tell in the pictures of course). The stamps on the mailbox are actually from Little Paper Shop, I love these beautiful saying from the {A Dream} set. In the top picture you can see my rhinestone heart, that was so much fun! Hopefully you can tell it's a heart, heehee. Then some wide grosgrain around the flag and we're all set on the side!

Next is a view of just the card. Again, Bittersweet papers to match the mailbox. Also some Kaisercraft pink bling in the corners and my new favorite ribbon too {that awesome 5/8" textured yummyness Mandy carries!}! This image is from Stamping Bella -- it makes me smile and it looks DELICIOUS!! I colored it with varying shades of pink Copics.

And here is everything all opened up, so you can see the goodies inside! Some yummy chocolates, scented lip gloss in "Heavenly Vanilla" and some gorgeous stampin' goodies perfect for Valentine's Day! Shimmerz, pearls and flowers, oh my! heehee.
That's it for now! Hope you all have a great start to the weekend. Be sure to go over and see what the rest of the DT did: Becky, Ryann, Lee, Lorie, Jen Marie, Mandy, Lisa, and my sista guest designer this month, Kristen. See you tomorrow!

16 people made my day!:
