Kitty Bee's Aloha Friday - #61: Thanks

Good morning! Aloha Friday is in full swing over at Kitty Bee Designs! Our current challenge is #61: Thanks, and this is week #2 (I'm late! This long weekend really got me...). The second week is our mid-inspiration, so get the energy flowing again coming in to the weekend, and let's see some more great projects!! Get our your stamps and play along! My card uses an image from Kitty Bee. I love this sweet kitty! The sentiment is from InkaDinkaDoo. I chose bright colors for this happy thank you card, which is very unlike me! But I thought I'd give the yellow a shot today. Happy Monday! hehe.

This is my second post today. Scroll down for Aud Sentiments current challenge inspiration!

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thanksgiving Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  For my post today, I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#117) where the challenge is....Festive Fun! This week's sponsor is A Day for Daisies, and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring "Dressed Up For Christmas" from A Day For Daisies. Isn't it sweet!? Perfect for this week's theme...and the looming holiday season!

I kept this pretty simple to show off the image. The sentiment I stamped on after I colored it, and it's from Stampin' Up!. I hand-pierced the edge of the card. A felt snowflake and some jute twine to go with the "rustic" feel of these sweet birds decorating the tree for Christmas, and we were all set! I added pearls to the tree for dimension.

Aud Sentiments #145: Anything Goes!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! I can't believe it's that time of year already. It will be Christmas before we know it. Well, it's still a Thursday, so it's  time for a new mid-inspiration post from Aud Sentiments! The challenge this time around is "Anything Goes". Yay, anything your heart desires!

Aud Sentiments is a bi-weekly challenge with a theme. The one special thing to note is you MUST use a sentiment on your card to enter our challenge. It can be on the inside even, just show us the sentiment! This week's challenge is sponsored by Lacy Sunshine! Lacy Sunshine is one of my favorite digital stamp companies, I'm always thrilled to be creating with these lovely images. As always, fantastic and generous prizes are up for grabs!

Here is my project, featuring Sugi Winter Princess. Isn't she both adorable and beautiful!!? I love her dress...I tried to color it as if it was "dipped", with variations of the same color, lightest to darkest. {I have seen this dipped look on everything from clothing to long hair, and it seemed perfect for this dress}.

I followed a sketch for my card today, from Viva la Verve; November #3. Here it is, and it's a good one!

Kitty Bee Designs - November Spotlight

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a great weekend! It got CHILLY here in Wisconsin, and we had our first snow Friday and Saturday. EEEP!! So far, I'm surviving, and just in time for my monthly spotlight for the FANTASTIC Kitty Bee Designs DT. I am SO in love with all of these little sweeties. If you are new to Kitty Bee, you HAVE to check them out. Seriously. They are adorable and awesome to color; the shapes and designs lend themselves to all kinds of color and sketch combos!

Simply Papercraft #18: Always Anything Goes!

Happy FRIDAY, my lovelies!!! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Today I'm sharing my latest card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! Makes it easy and fun to combine challenges and really show off your best work. This week's challenge is sponsored by A Day For Daisies! One of my TOP favorite sponsors, so many amazing, beautiful images to choose from. As always, fantastic and generous prizes are up for grabs!

For my card today I used the "Freehand Bird 1" image. It is absolutely FABULOUS. Growing up as the child of bird lovers and avid birders, I definitely gravitate towards bird images, and this is an exceptionally versatile one.

I used the current sketch from the Catch the Bug challenge blog for this project (again) and I rotated 90 degrees to accommodate the shape of this image (again). Because it's a good one! Thanks Stella! ;)
