Simply Papercraft #10: Anything Goes

I'm so happy it's finally Friday! Later today my son is hopefully getting a hard, short-arm cast on his other arm, if the doctors think everything is healed well enough post-surgical bone setting and all that. So keep a good thought for us! Finally grabbing some time for blogging today to share a new card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! Creative Knockouts #100: Dry Embossing with SSD

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start. We are finally getting the hard cast on DS#1's arm tomorrow so really looking forward to that!

This morning I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#100) where the challenge is....Dry Embossing!  This week's sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs, and oh yes, there is a prize to be won! You KNOW how much I love SSD...I had a lot of fun creating this card:

And here is a close-up of the image so you can see all the glitter I added. I felt like her dress was just swishing and swirling....that needed a little sparkle!

I printed this beauty, and colored her with Copics. I used a Quickie Glue Pen and some of my amazing Art Institute Glitters (best glitter EVER!) to do the lines and spots for extra sparkle. I kept it pretty simple so the image would really come through (I think this is one of my favorite Sassys EVER!!). I did follow a sketch though, along with a photo inspiration. Viva la Verve July #3 and Addicted to Stamps #155: Photo Inspiration:

Good morning! Are you ready for my card featuring JessicaLynnOriginal.com's newest stamp set release? On Saturday, THREE new stamps featuring the amazing art of Jasmine Becket-Griffith were released. I'm using "Clockwork Dragonling" for my card today. I think this art image is just gorgeous, and so much fun to color! I decided to keep my card layout a bit more simple to really showcase this image! I will be sharing projects with her, along with the other newly-released Working Dog Breed stamps over the next few weeks!

Missing In Action

Hello friends! Sorry it's been pretty quiet around the blog this last week or two. My older son was doing some "No Hands!!" trick swinging and fell off, breaking both of his wrists. One required a procedure (not surgery, but he had to be put under anesthesia for it) in order to set it. It's been a bit of a roller coaster around here, but my mom is here now helping out for a few weeks and I'm able to get a few things done! Posts will be trickling in and getting back to normal with challenge blogs, stamp releases, spotlight posts, and other "Just for Fun" challenges. Casts will be off right about the time school starts, so keep a good thought for him (and all of us) and send some happy vibes our way!

Hope everyone is having a good summer (don't break anything!)...stamp happy!

My first card today uses this AWESOME Space Princess Sassy from SSD. I love her I LOVE HER! Seriously. Creative Knockouts #98: Outdoors!

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start. This morning I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#98) where the challenge is....Outdoors!  This week's sponsor is Color Ink Digital, and oh yes, there is a prize to be won!

Here are my inspiration pieces for this card Fun Stamper's Journey colors and Repeat Impressions photo challenge:

I printed some of the images from this adorable Bonfire Night mini set into a scene, and colored the fire with Copics. I used a Quickie Glue Pen and some of my amazing Art Institute Glitters (best glitter EVER!) to do the fireworks. It was hard to capture the sparkle in the photo but it turned out pretty well. A nice sparkle for a fun and easy masculine birthday card.

Kitty Bee Aloha Friday #51: Christmas in July (Mid-Inspiration)

Well, I am STILL glad it's Friday... ;) I have to run in to work for a little while today, and then if it warms up at all I think I'll take the kids swimming. Going to be ANOTHER day of running! What happened to my relaxing summer that I had planned??
