Hambo Hoedown - A Heroic Sketch

Good morning friends!  I hope that today kicks your week off with a great start!  I wanted to share a little bit of SKETCHY inspiration with you today; my entry for the Hambo Hoedown (#4).  I am LOVING this progressive challenge Hambo has going on, each week you get a new digi and a new challenge to play along with!  Provided you continue to participate, you get the next week's digi in your e-mail, just in time to stamp some more!  Can't be beat!  Thanks Hambo.  :)

Here's my contribution to this fourth week of the Hoedown, where our theme is a sketch.  Well, you know sketches are my favorite, I think I say it every time I play along in a sketch challenge!  Yahoooooo!  And this week's image is just adorable, a little hero bird.  He's got a medal and everything!

Love him!!  I used some 4th of July paper I had in the stash - worked out pretty well for this little guy I think!  I am entering this card in the Wee Memories #45 challenge, "United We Stamp" - the challenge is to create cards for Operation Write Home.  Mr. Bird here is just the thing for a REAL LIFE hero!

InStyle's February HOP!

Hello and welcome to FRIDAY!!!  I am sooo ready for the weekend!

My card is showing off the adorable Pretty Posies set, released earlier this month.  How cute is this little Patty!?  I have had a lot of fun with her.  :)

I went with some seriously happy spring/summer colors, which is pretty far out of my box!  I was happy with the results though, so I may have to venture out more often...

Inspiration InStyle - February

What a beautiful photo!  I love the soft, natural colors here, the green, cream and brown.  Perfect for Origins, don't you think!?  I used one of our February release sets for my project, called "Pretty Posies".

Good morning Wednesday!  I just noticed I saved this post as a draft instead of scheduling it to publish, whoops!  It's been sitting here waiting for me to pay attention I guess!

Hambo Hoedown -- at the BEACH

Here's my contribution to this third week of the Hoedown, where our theme is BEACH.  I {heart} the beach!  Too bad we live so very far from it here in Wisconsin.  *le sigh*  But this hungry little pelican is right at home!

I want to share another creation as well.  When my DS#1, who is 6 years old, saw me printing this sweet lil' Hambo digi, he HAD to have one too.  He wanted to color like mommy.  I DID NOT tell him that I was planning on making a "beach themed" project, I just printed Mr. Pelican for him and we both went to work.  {Obviously, it's not a stretch or anything, but still}.  Here's what he presented to me:

TRULY!!  Could this *be* any cuter??  I love how he added the background scene.  No doubt about it, that boy is all mine!  :)
