PWC93, CIC48 - Strawberry Fields...

Hello stampers! Well, it's Wednesday already, which is Paper Pretties day; with a new featured stamp set and DT blog hop each week! This week's challenge {PWC93} is a sketch! Woo hoo!

And here is my contribution to this week's feature, using Always In My Heart Sophia:

Our featured sets this week at Paper Pretties are Always In My Heart Sophia and Cuddle Me Sophia, so all the girls on the hop are featuring one of those sets. Both featured sets will also on sale for 20% off this week only!

So, as soon as I saw the sketch and this week's featured images, I knew I had to use Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge {CIC48} for the basis of my card. Here it is for reference {yummo!!}:

The card info for today - I stamped this little darling in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Accents and highlighting with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen. I cut her out with Nestabilities Classic Ovals, and layered onto the NEW NEW NEW Nestabilities Big Scalloped Ovals. Susana from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design has all the first release 2010 nesties IN STOCK so head over, I have not seen them *anywhere* else yet!

Thanks for hopping with us - I'm the last stop, so you can head over to The Prettie Boutique and Forum when you're through here for more info and inspiration. Or, if you are just starting the hop here at my blog, head on over to Christie's blog to start from the beginning.

TIOT55 - Let's Have 3-Layer Cake!

It's Tuesday already!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT55} is to create a card using ONLY THREE layers (the image panel doesn't have to count as one of the layers). Here's mine!

Well I am still just head-over-heels in love with The Aurora Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD! I've been making all kinds of projects with her -- she is just SO fun to color! For today's card I chose Aurora with Cake.

I stamped my sweet Aurora in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. Then I cut her out with the Curved Rectangle Nestabilities. The paper is all from Basic Grey (Bittersweet), which has had the edges roughed up and added faux stitching on each panel. The white sitching was all done with my new American Crafts white Ultimate Gel Pen - a nice, thick gel ink, really flows out easily, sooo nice! A swirl clip, some yummy ribbon and a tiny butterfly die cut to finish her off today!

I blurfed for challenges before I made this, I was feeling in need of inspiration on yet another cold and snowy day. Rachel had the PERFECT colors and butterfly theme on her Cupcake Inspiration Challenge {CIC46} this week, and the ladies over at Cupcake Craft Challenges {CCC78} would like us to Keep It Simple, perfect for this limited layer card! Last but not least, The Pink Elephant challenge {TPE54} called for ribbon, which actually had me go back and add the clip and ribbon twist, which I think goes a long way to bring this all together. So thanks ladies! I had fun playing along with all of you again this week.

Now DON'T FORGET -- going on now Cute-a-Palooza has begun from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design with THE YUMMIEST blog candy on the SCACD store blog, leading up to the big Elisabeth Bell for SCACD release this Friday, February 19th. For real!! Head over to the store blog to read all the deets and don't forget to ENTER!

Be sure to check out the
SCACD store blog for lots more layered inspiration today! Make it a good one and stamp happy, I will see you tomorrow!

Challenge Time With Aurora!

It's Tuesady!! I'm glad you stopped by today! We have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT52} is to create a bookmark! Of course I decided to use another of the newly released images from The Aurora Collection by Victoria Case for SCACD! This is Aurora with Tulips.

Of course I couldn't stop with JUST making a bookmark today {Um, hello, an excuse to color up Aurora some more?? Sign me up!}. So I have a matched set - I made card to go along with it. What a fun little gift!

I have several challenges that went into this sweet little set today! I used a sketch for the card from the Mojo Monday challenge {MOJO123}. I also incorporated the Cupcake Craft Challenges for this week, challenge #75 was to create a matching set {i.e. card plus....something}.

I pulled the color scheme from Rachel's delicious Cupcake Inspiration Challenge {CIC43}, she finds the BEST stuff to post for this challenge, it's a newly discovered one for me but as you see, I keep coming back. It's fabulous, thanks Rachel! Here's the inspiration picture:

And last but certainly not least, this week at The Pink Elephant they want to see polka dots, a bow, and pink. Ladies after my own heart, I tell you what!! TPE51, I had fun adding that in as well. The combination of all these challenges got me going with this giftie - I love you all!

A few quick details on the project. I stamped Aurora in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The colors are Almost Amethyst, Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. A littler wider pink satin ribbon from the stash, some Color Me buttons as well and she is ready to go!

That's all for me, be sure to check out the SCACD store blog today for lots more bookmark ideas! Make it a good one and stamp happy, I will see you tomorrow!
