Vacation!

Hello all!

My family and I are headed to Washington D.C., and I have been SOOOO busy, I ran out of time for blogging! So, you will be able to see all of my challenge cards on the respective challenge blogs - Penny's on Wednesday, Creative Knockouts on Thursday, and Kitty Bee Designs Aloha Friday on....Friday! I have had to sit out the next challenge at Aud Sentiments due to time constraints, but will be back with a new project for #155 in 3 weeks!

Simply Papercraft #27: Always Anything Goes!

Happy FRIDAY (again), my lovelies!!! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Today I'm sharing my latest card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! Makes it easy and fun to combine challenges and really show off your best work. This week's challenge is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs! As always, fantastic and generous prizes are up for grabs!

For my card today I used the Dark Fairy Sassy image. I went with soft pastel colors since we are having a tiny bit of spring here in Wisconsin, and I didn't want to jinx it! ;)

Quick recipe - colored with Copics, of course. Green thread from Fun Stampers Journey (love it!). Paper from American Crafts. D'Vine Swirls Embossing Folder. Lots of foam tape. I use Neenah 110# Cover Solar White cardstock for all my images.

Creative Knockouts #136: Border Time

Good morning stampers! I'm a day late, so two posts today! Yesterday started a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts (#135) where the challenge is....Borders! This week's sponsor is Sassy Studio Designs, and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring Wonder Woman Sassy. I decided to make her in traditional Wonder Woman colors. She's colored with Copics, and the gold is from a gel pen.

My border item is a bit hidden, it's the blue behind the main image panel, it's a bracket border die from Verve Stamps. The image was so large I just wanted ot use a little of the Royal Blue for accent and not overpower this awesome lady! As you can see, she is flying through the crowds with stars EVERYWHERE! ;)

Penny's Challenge #272: Anything Goes

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's week is going well! There is a new challenge this morning over at Penny's Challenge! Must be Wednesday!

I want to share my card for this current challenge where the theme is - ANYTHING GOES! Well that's an easy one. This week's sponsor is Little Blue Button Stamps, and they are offering a wonderful prize to lucky stampers!

Here is my project, featuring "Button In Frame". I love her hair! This is such a cute image, and it's nice and versatile, so I knew I had to grab her and get coloring!

I used a color challenge for this card today, because it's so fresh and pretty I just couldn't pass it up! Share Joy #29:

It's JessicaLynnOriginal's 11th Anniversary!

Happy Tuesday stamping friends!

Today I have something special to share with you. This week marks the ELEVENTH anniversary of JessicaLynnOriginal.com. I can't believe it's been that long! I was on her very first Design Team way back when, so I think I am especially impressed by her wonderful run in creating and designing stamps!

To celebrate, there is a NEW Brentwood Owl digital stamp freebie "Brentwood Owl - Singing in the Rain", and I have featured him here on my spotlight card today.  Brentwood is of COURSE my favorite character or image type from Jessica's large and diverse collection, and this one is tons of fun just like the others! Be sure to get over to the store and grab him during the Anniversary Week while he is still free!   
 

I took another photo of this card, tipped at a bit of an angle so you can (hopefully) see the detail I added after I colored him up with my Copic markers. Parts of his umbrella, his rain slicker, and spots along the grass have been gone over with a glaze that dries shiny, so it looks like they are wet (or a shiny vinyl material, like the rain slicker). I just HAD to get a wet look going for this card, with this wonderful umbrella feature...to really make it POP! As you can see there is still sunshine on a cloudy day here on my blog!
