Fall Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

Happy Sunday everyone! I have a very FUN card to share today. I decided to play along with the HUGE Fall 2015 Coffee Lover's blog hop going on now. There are so many awesome sponsors, and page after page of fantastic projects being linked up! JessicaLynnOriginal.com is one of the sponsors, and in addition to the prizes, Jessica Lynn is also giving away a free digi stamp right now in honor of this great blog hop. I have used the FREE digi in my project today, it's called Brentwood Owl Needs More Coffee. TOO CUTE for words!!

Of COURSE, this is a fall-and-coffee themed card, to match the hop. I used fall colors for Mr. Brentwood, and I set the pattern of sequins to be "fall"ing into the cup with him. I chose the color palette from this gorgeous inspiration from Your Next Stamp (YNS #23) which has been on my list all month; so beautiful. The colors are also matching up with this week's ColourQ (#309) and a new challenge blog I discovered - Our Crafty Corner's very first challenge, a beautiful autumn board (yep, a theme here!).

This is an easy 1-layer CAS card. I printed my Brentwood and colored him in. Masked off the image and spritzed the card with gold and pewter Perfect Pearls sprays. I added the sequins and glitter dots, went back for some extra shading on the colored image, and viola! I'll let this sweetie speak for himself :) I'd use this card for ANY reason for a coffee lover friend of family member (and I have MANY).

CardMaker Magazine BLOG HOP: JessicaLynnOriginal.com

[This is my SECOND POST today. Scroll down for my Simply Papercraft Challenge inspiration]

I hope you've been inspired by the projects you've seen so far along the hop. You're almost to the end so let's finish strong! My card today uses one of my FAVORITE new JessicaLynnOriginal.com sets (well, my favorite that is not a Brentwood Owl stamp at least!). It's called "Love is a Big Deal".

What do you think? This card is fairly CAS, which is a surprisingly hard concept for me. I created it using watercolor paper. I inked the stamp with my old Stampin' Up! water-based markers so I could make each letter a different color. Then I spritzed water on the stamp and the paper and let it bleed. Once it was dry I over-stamped it with black and drew in the base line. I really, REALLY like this image, so I wanted it to speak for itself. I used some Lawn Fawn dies to create the layered look at the top with different scraps of coordinating cardstock and then mounted the entire panel on a half sheet of watercolor paper (using foam tape between layers) so that the base of the card matched the image panel in texture and weight.

Simply Papercraft #14: Always Anything Goes!

Happy FRIDAY, my lovelies!!! I'm so happy the weekend is here! Today I'm sharing my latest card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! For my project today I used the Cupcakes in Beehive digi stamp. I really enjoyed playing with this image. It's so fun and unique and CLEVER. It ended up matching up PERFECTLY with this awesome, awesome stamp set I won from Kerry Urbatch. I play along in her monthly challenge whenever I can and this was my prize over the summer. What a great size and fun sentiments too. Thank you again Kerry for the great challenge!

Creative Knockouts #108: Glamour and Glitter

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  For my post today, I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#108) where the challenge is....Glamour and Glitter! So fun and GIRLIE. I have to get my girlie fix somewhere.... This week's sponsor is The Paper Shelter and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring "She's Charming". I used the pre-colored version for my card today (you get the line art, the paper, the composite, and the pre-colored image in TPS sets). My sentiment is from Paper Pretties (and can I tell you that it was SO NOT EASY) to line that sucker up on the pierced frame cardstock...):

Dies from My Favorite Things and La La Land. Glitter brads from Doodle Bug. Dazzling Diamonds loose glitter (with Quickie pen) on her puffs of powder (and some extras), and the straps of her shoes. Paper is Basic Grey, with SU cardstocks. Lots and lots of foam tape! ;)

Kitty Bee Designs: Bonus Spotlight for September!

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday to bloglandia! We are still in the midst of a beautiful fall week, trying to enjoy every moment before the big W starts! I'm popping in today with an extra monthly spotlight card  for the FANTASTIC Kitty Bee Designs DT. Have you checked them out yet? They are adorable and awesome to color; fun and easy to work with!

This image is called Best Buns. How fun is it?? I hand-wrote the word "happy" along the bottom of the heart die cut. I think this card could be used for several different types of occasions, which is awesome. I wanted to add a sentiment, but still leave some flexibility with the use of this card. 

I used dies from Lil Inker and Provocraft. Buns are colored with Copics. Sequins, ribbon and clip are generic from stash. Paper from S.E.I.

Kitty Bee Designs: September Spotlight

Hello everyone, and WELCOME to the weekend! I think it's almost impossible not to be happy on a sunny summer Saturday...yesterday was a PERFECT summer outside day and we were hiking all day...so I'm afraid I'm a little slow this morning! BUT, I made it and I'm here with my monthly spotlight for the FANTASTIC Kitty Bee Designs DT. I am SO in love with all of these little sweeties. Wags n Whiskers #162: Glittery

TGIF! Boy am I glad it's Friday. What a week! Seems like I always say that... I managed to sneak a bit of stamping time EARLY this week so I could bring you a new card for today!

I just love this sweet "Ellie & Squeak" image. I used dies from IO and MFT. Ellie is colored with Copics. I added glitter on the present and the blue paper is from the DCWV glitter mat stack. I followed the week #1 VLV sketch again for this project:

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  For my second post today, I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#107) where the challenge is....Happy Fall, Y'all!  Woohoo! Here is my card using this awesome little boy fall image Pumpkin Smiles. What's better than a cute little man with an enormous jack o lantern? Probably not much :)

My man is colored with Copics. Button from Dress it up. Dies from My Favorite Things. I wanted to play along with the challenge from Sami Stamps so I doodled a border around my main image (I started out with a cardstock border but it was too big and clunky so I had to cut it off and wing it from there. EEK! But I'm actually really happy with it, so phew! All's well that ends well).

Aud Sentiments #140: Anything Goes + Sentiment

Wow, Thursday already! My "stay"cation and relaxation time is really flying by! Thursday means challenges, and I will have TWO for you today. This is the first, the mid-inspiration post from Aud Sentiments.

Aud Sentiments is a bi-weekly challenge with a theme. The one special thing to note is you MUST use a sentiment on your card to enter our challenge. It can be on the inside even, just show us the sentiment! I used the digi Brentwood Owl - Autism Awareness for my project. Isn't he wonderful!? I really wanted some bright and bold colors for this card -- to make it POP. Brentwood is such a blast to color, and he has so many variations and themes...his puzzle piece says it all. L.O.V.E. :)

He is printed on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. The heart puzzle die is from MFT. Patterned paper is Basic Grey, cardstock Stampin' Up. Flowers from Prima, sequins from Doodlebug, pearls from Kaisercraft. Oh, and lots of foam tape! (I bet you are not surprised, if you know me at all...).
