For today's card I used last week's sketch challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers SC241. Here's the sketch: I started off by stamping Autumn in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. Did some highlighting with the Ranger white gel pen when all the coloring was done. The paper colors are So Saffron, Taken With Teal and Chocolate Chip. Put on some ribbon and one of the uber-sparkly and fun Petaloo Dazzlers flowers to some zing.
It didn't quite look finished so I added Kaisercraft rhinestone accents up in the corner. Since the teal colored rhinestones I had didn't quite match Autumn, I made my own custom-colored ones! I took the Copic marker that I used to color the image and colored on the Diamond rhinestones (the clear ones). Alcohol markers will color on the plastic with no problem and dry permanently - viola, instant color-coordination. It's one of my favorite tricks for all types of embellishments!
Be sure to visit all of the DT blogs to see what they have created - see if you can spot ALL EIGHT of the new images!!
