Creative Knockouts #116: No Squares!

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  For my post today, I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#116) where the challenge is....Not a Square Card! This week's sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and they are offering a wonderful prize to a lucky player!

Here is my project, featuring "Snowball Penguins" from Sami Stamps. Isn't it fun!? My little guy loves penguins so I knew this image would be a fun one to play with. 

and here's a close up view where you can see all the GLITTER and SPARKLE on the snow:

I used the current sketch from the Catch the Bug challenge blog for this project (rotated 90 degrees to accommodate the shape of this image).

Birthday Fun with Birdie Hearts!

Hello bloglandia! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We were super busy here with DS#2's birthday party, and today went a bit off the rails for me too playing catch up (hence the EVENING blog post!).

One thing I did on Sunday morning while all of my boys were at TrainFest was COLOR and craft!! It was fabulous as I hadn't even set foot into my stamp room in a WEEK. I had some images printed from my digi stash last month, and I picked up this sweet bird from Sami Stamps first. This one is called Birdie Hearts.

I used a sketch for this project, from Creative Inspirations #335, and the color combo from Card Mania #74:
 

I printed this sweetie pie on PaperTrey white and colored with with Copics. Die cut a tag and used a heart eyelet to go with the heart string she's holding. I wanted a bluebird, so I based my color palette off those colors as naturally as I could. With pink hearts, of course!

Wags 'N Whiskers #166: Embossing

Good morning stamping friends!  I have two new cards and challenges for you today! Scroll down for the Kitty Bee Designs mid-inspiration post for our button challenge. The next challenge up at Wags 'n Whiskers is: #166: Embossing. For this card I used dry embossing, as well as (pre) heat embossed patterned papers.

I just love this sweet "Buddy's Balloon" image. Yes, I cut off the balloon. I wanted to use this sketch and Buddy only worked on his own, shape-wise. He is colored with Copics.

I haven't used this product before but I was very happy with it, and beautiful quality. I will use these again! 

From the Bingo board (below), my Bingo is Embossing (dry, on the panels), Digi (the sentiment and the tree) and Die Cut (the oval behind the tree is a MFT Pierced Frames Die Cut out of Basic Grey paper). There you have it!
