Paper Pretties Birthday HOP!

Hello and Happy Monday!!  It's a VERY busy week here at Glitter in my Hair, so let's kick off with a Prettie Birthday!  One of our very own Prettie Girls, Jessica Fick, has a birthday today!  We are honoring her in true Paper Pretties fashion with a birthday blog hop and lots of love and wishes for an amazing day.  Jessica, I hope it's a fabulous day filled with family, friends, and STAMPING.  :)  Here's the card I made for Jessica, featuring the Paper Pretties stamp set Celebrate Sophia (one of my FAVORITES -- I love her face!).

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC137) we are looking for PAPER PIECING!  This is such a fun technique, and one I often forget in this world of Copic markers that I seem to live in...  :)  Piecing is great for making fast work of just about any image.  I used it on the dress of the lovely Sophia in my card today (along with some Swiss Dots, who doesn't love those?!):

InStyle Stamps January Color Challenge

What a beautiful photo!  I love the gorgeous greens that were chosen here.  I was inspired myself to play along - here's a card I made for this challenge, featuring an image from the upcoming CHA-release set, Gracie and Twirla.

PWC136 - A Unique Fold

Happy Wednesday! Are you ready for the Prettie Wednesday Challenge?! I bet you are!  If you play along with us you could WIN!   Check out the Paper Pretties Blog for all the details!

For this week's challenge (keyword: PWC136) we want to see your unique folds!  It can be anything - an easel card, waterfall, tri-fold -- as long as it's not the standard rectangle folded at the top or side, it works!

I made a big buckle card, featuring You're Fan-tastic Sophia.  I haven't used her in awhile!  (Click the photos to see a full-size version).

Here's the card partially opened: 

In order to allow for the buckle to slide underneath the Sophia panel, I didn't put any dimensionals in the lower right corner of the image.  The piece slides right underneath and into the punched area to close.
