Simply Papercraft #13: Always Anything Goes!

Happy FRIDAY, my lovelies!!! I'm so happy to have gotten through this week. Things are busy as always with my 2 little guys (plus hubs of course) but we are settling into school and work routine now so that is helping a lot. I got a bit of stamping time in this week, so I'm sharing my latest card for Simply Papercraft. Our bi-weekly challenges are ALWAYS "Anything Goes". I love this! Makes it easy and fun to combine challenges and really show off your best work. This week's challenge is sponsored by Morgan's Art World! As always, fantastic and generous prizes are up for grabs!

For my project today I used the Winter Fae digi stamp. I really love her. The sweet look on her face, one closed eye...as soon as I saw this image I knew I had to create with her!

Creative Knockouts #106: CAS

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  This morning I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#106) where the challenge is....ANYTHING GOES!  Woohoo! This week's sponsor is A Day For Daisies (one of my most favorite sponsors, as you know!!), and oh yes...a prize! 
Here is my card using this wonderful image Walk On The Beach. It SO reminds me of myself with my two guys :)

 

I wanted to play along with the challenge at A Day For Daisies with this project. Their challenge was to incorporate plaid into your card. NOW, you can't see it very well since I was a bit too enthusiastic with the glittery wash sprays....but the background of this CAS card has been stamped with an old background stamp from Stampin' Up! called "Flannel Plaid" using a light blue ink. It was a bit too stark with just that background stamp so I roughed it up, distressed the edges and sprayed some Perfect Pearls sprays all over it. In person you can still see the flannel but the photo was not wanting to see it. I have a closer up one where you can see it a bit better in the blue. It's subtle, but I'm glad I played around with this challenge! Very fun :)

You can barely see it in this second photo but I added the touch of wispy clouds using a cloud template, sponge, and white ink. Again, you can see it better in person. This card really didn't want to pose for the camera!

Image is colored with Copics. Brad is from Kaisercraft. Flag die from Verve. Pierced oval die from MFT. Clean and Simple is really hard for me. I always get itchy fingers like it's not ENOUGH. Even though I really love all the CAS creations that OTHER people make! I worked really had to keep it simple and let the image do the talking. It's such a sweet one and with fall coming in here I love looking at it!

Creative Knockouts #105: Flowers

Good morning stampers! I hope everyone's Thursday is off to a fantastic start!  This morning I want to share a super fun card for this week's Creative Knockouts (#105) where the challenge is....ANYTHING GOES!  Woohoo! Here is my card using this GORGEOUS (I'm so in love!!) image Sweetest Day Love Note Fairy.

I ALWAYS say it, but it's true. I LOVE this image! She's colored with Copics. Roses from Prima. I used some of my new dies from MFT that just arrived this week (the pierced frame) as well as the pierced flourish, which I've had for awhile but use all the time! The sentiment is from Paper Pretties - love that it's a clear acrylic stamp so I was able to shape it to follow along the curve of the oval. I actually giggled when it worked, because....AWESOME! ;)

Aud Sentiments #139: Fall Fun + Sentiment

Wow, Thursday (and the THIRD day of school) already! We are really digging into September, aren't we? It has gotten HOT HOT HOT again here in Wisconsin so it's a little hard to believe it's coming up on Fall!

I have a small (ok...not small. Big. HUGE!!) announcement today - I've joined the *amazing* ladies over at the Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog as one of their new Design Team Members! YES!! Squeeee! I have always loved playing along with that challenge, and now I will have the chance to hook all of YOU with the awesome challenge ideas and see the creations you link up. I'm very excited and I hope to see LOTS of you when I make my commenting rounds.

Aud Sentiments is a bi-weekly challenge with a theme. The one special thing to note is you MUST use a sentiment on your card to enter our challenge. It can be on the inside even, just show us the sentiment! I have been guilty of just using images on cards myself so I love this idea. :) We are in week 2 of our challenge and the theme is Fall Fun (...plus a sentiment).
