Walkin' on Sunshine!!!

Helloooo out there in stamping land!! Woo hoo, it's finally here, the day you have been not-so-patiently waiting for all week!! The latest and most gorgeous addition to Susana's amazing collection of EXCLUSIVE images, Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler #4 Collection!! To showcase all the GORGEOUS images, we are kickin' off the release with a fabulous inspiration-filled BLOG HOP! So WELCOME from Marti's blog!

Today I have the honor of presenting you with Bubbles. I am SO in love with her!! Look at that darling little face. What a cutie pie!

I am joining in over at PaperPlay Challenges for the first time this week! Their challenge ('10 Week 17) is PRETTY PASTELS. Well, here you go! Also, ANOTHER new one, SophistiCat Challenges this week is a card for a child (#30). Well, perfect. :) Thanks ladies! I am excited to find some fun new challenge sites!

Card details for today. I stamped Bubbles in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I pulled the colors from this beautiful Basic Grey paper (Wisteria). Accents and highlighting on my little one with the Ranger Inkssentials White Gel Pen.

I added some flowers too, a white wild rose from Petaloo at the top, and some standard Primas down near my sentiment. I colored the center of the wild rose with Copics to coordinate with my papers and add more pop. I used the VIVA DECOR Pearl Pen in Dark Brown for the centers of the small flowers. Have you SEEN this amazingly awesome new product yet??? I love that it dries just as it goes on, meaning you can add pearls in any color, to anywhere with just a squeeze!! Susana is carrying a huge range of their pens, from the glitter to gloss, pearl to glass and she has the HOLOGRAPHIC GLITTER LINER PENS in stock now and ready to ship!! These are a fabulous tool, I love mine, I need more. heehee. Suzanne Dean and Pezadoodle have videos on how these babies work.

Last detail and then I'll send you on the rest of the hop. The picture shows it a bit, but the bubbles turned out SO fun on this! I painted over them using Smooch Illuminate Pearlized Top Coat ink to give some great sparkle. This is a GREAT product, it gives a clear-finish dazzle to anything you add it to, without changing the color (other than to add the iridescent sparkle). It comes with its own little applicator right in the bottle, no searching for a paint brush!! Yayyyy! Once the Smooch was dry I covered the bubbles with a coat of Mono Aqua glue. This is a gem of a product, in my book, it's a crystal clear glue that dries shiny, and as applied. So I put a generous amount on the top of my bubbles and it dried shiny and slightly raised. Perfect! Those bubbles could pop right off the page!

Your next stop is Carolyn!! Enjoy the hop everyone! When you're all through, head over to the SCACD store to get your new Elisabeth Bell for SCACD Sampler #4 stamps!

PWC101 - A Little Late

It's Wednesday! I knew it, but somehow I had a brain fry and forgot all about my card for today!! ACK! So I have it now, and for good measure I added in some challenges. I am so sorry I was lame this morning!

Right, YOU probably remember that Wednesday means it is time for another fun Prettie Challenge and blog hop! Our challenge this week was to make a card and use at least one punch.

This week the design team will be using either the set
Soakin Up the Sun or Rainy Day Friends. These are both adorable Sophia sets and both stamp sets featured this week will be on sale for 35% off all week. Also be sure to check out the new digi stamp section of the boutique, Christie is adding new digis all the time (there are several adorable Sophia and Cooper digi stamps)!

For my card I used the set
Soakin Up the Sun. I love this one! Sophia looks soooo relaxed. I could use some of that right about now!

Aaahhhh!!!!

The challenge info - I used this super fun sketch from this week's Sweet Sunday sketch challenge (SSSC66). It was perfect for lazy sunshine Sophia today so I took advantage of that! Thanks for the great sketch Karen! Here it is:

For the colors (think....Carribean...ahhhhh again!), I went with the new Copic Colour Challenge today (#62). Love it, great choices this week girls, thank you!

I am also adding in The Pink Elephant (TPE64) which asked for AQUA. I love Aqua! And you know I love TPE challenge, it's been a few weeks since I've played so I'm excited to get back into the swing of my "standard" weekly challenges!

Ok, that's it for me so I can get this posted. If you are just starting at my blog, head on over to
Christie's blog to start from the beginning. You definitely won't want to miss any of the stops! If you are following the hop, I'm the last one, so head over to the Prettie Boutique and Forum and check out the goods!

ALSO, a quick note from
Susana's Custom Art and Card Design!! Don't forget about the INCREDIBLE blog candy Susana is giving away to celebrate the upcoming Elisabeth Bell release! Stop on by the SCACD store blog for all of the details, you have until tomorrow night to enter!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a terrific day!

TIOT65 - What's Cookin'?

Happy Tuesday stampin' friends!! Today we have another fantastic Try It Out Tuesday challenge from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design to jump start your creativity! This week's challenge {TIOT65} is a sketch! My favorite {did you know that already?? LOL!}.

I chose
Little Marti from the latest Victoria Case for SCACD Hearts and Hugs Spring Collection for today's project. Did you know that you can buy the set of all 7 stamps in one sheet for over 30% off the individual price? That's a deal!

Here she is!

And here is the fun sketch by Suzanne:

Today's card details - I stamped my sweetie with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. DP and velvent brads from my stash, and Kaisercraft Pearls in pink for my punched corners. The main image and mat were cut with Nestabilities Labels 4. I went around the space between layers with a matching pink Gelly Roll Glaze pen, but it didn't show up very well in the photo.

Fun! Just love these "little" girls from Victoria Case for SCACD. Know what else I love??? Walkin' on Sunshine! We are gearing up for some big, huge fun at the end of the week with Elisabeth Bell and Susana's Custom Art and Card Design! Mark your calendars for April 30th when the newest stamps will be released & join the DT for a blog hop!

But first....blog candy!! It is up on the SCACD store blog NOW and it is BEYOND yummy! Head over and check out all the details, but let me just say that there are FOUR prizes and each of them is grand prize equivalent!! Go!

Whew, ok I'm done! Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're inspired by all the beautiful DT projects, we'd love to see your sketchy creations. I will see you all tomorrow - happy stamping & big hugs to all my readers!

LPSC65 - A Purple {Rose}

Hellooooooo Monday!! I am back today to share a project featuring the {Little Paper Shop}! I absolutely CAN NOT put down this gorgeous new set (just relased last week!!) called {Rose}. It is beautiful and elegant, perfect for all you girly girls and flower lovers out there (and coloring lovers too!). Speaking of color lovers, this week's challenge is of the color varitey - here is the swatch:

And here is my card with this pretty spring combo:

I decided to be a little different today by making a circle-shaped card! At the Cupcake Craft Challenge this week (CCC88) they want to see any cards that are NOT square. Thanks ladies!! How I have missed you, Cupcake girls, I haven't done as many challenges in the last few weeks but I am hoping to get back into the swing of things here. A Monday resolution! :)

A few card details for those who are interested. I stamped my largest rose twice in
Memento Tuxedo Black ink on PTI white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers. I cut out the middle of the second image and added it over the top with dimensionals. Stamped, colored and cut some leaves to go along with the main flower image. Cut out some cardstock for the background with my new Labels 12 Nesties (of course the circle is Nesties too - Classic Circles). Stamped the sentiment (also from the {Rose} set), added in a bunch of pearls along the side and it's almost done! As a finishing touch I covered the entire rose image with Smooch Illuminate pearlized topcoat ink. Love this stuff! And love the handy bottle & built-in applicator, no searching for a paintbrush is required!

Be sure to visit the LPS store blog and the other DT members to see all the inspiration with this week's fabulous challenge! AND, if you play along with us you'll be entered to win this week's prize -- stamps from the {Little Paper Shop}!! Check out the details on the LPS store blog this morning - you have until Sunday night to enter by linking up on this week's post on the LPS store blog and the winner will be announced there next Monday morning. Can't beat free stamps AND an excuse to use them!

Kaiser Craft pearls in the corner, and the sentiment is from the PCS Lily & Tweet plate.

Masked it off and stamped the script background from the new {Behind the Scenes} set (I TOLD you I'd be using it a lot!!!) that we previewed on Saturday. I chose a more purpley Raspberry color for my card, so I pulled that in with the coloring a bit. Stamped, colored and cut some leaves to go along with the main flower image. Sponged Chocolate ink on all the panels, laid down some Kaisercraft Pearls along the side of my scallop. The sentiment is from the {Rose} set as well, and I added some pink pearls there to tie together the color combo. Glittered all around the rose lines with Dazzling Diamonds.

LPS Preview - {Behind the Scenes} HOP!

Hello and welcome to our first day of sneak peeks for the {Little Paper Shop} April release! We have a lot going on for the next few days as we are celebrating our two year anniversary this month. YES, {Little Paper Shop} is now 2 years old. Woohoo!! You have made this such a fun two years for us and we are so happy to be celebrating this time with you. We are going to be having lots of fun stuff going on so make sure and tune in every day, now through Tuesday -- release day. EACH DAY we will have a BLOG HOP with a chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the {Little Paper Shop}!! Read on to find out how YOU can enter to win!

I just KNOW that everyone out there loves winning new stamps, right? Want to win even more? Since this is our 2-Year Birthday Celebration, we will be doing something special this month on release day. One person who participates in the special Birthday Challenge on Tuesday, April 20th will win a $35 Gift Certificate (WOW!!) to the LPS store. More details on that challenge as closer to the release.

Today we are previewing a new set called BEHIND THE SCENES. This is a set of three large background stamps featuring extremely versatile patterns. Here is my project - clean and simple for today, a quick but elegant card. There are those out there who would be so proud of me for embracing the white space (you know who you are!). I let the image speak for itself and it says "heck yeah, you don't need another patterned paper layer, you have ME!!". These are going to be very handy stamps to have around!
I used the Copic Colour Challenge for this week on today's project (#60). I know, not a lot of Copics on here, I added some darker highlighting (lowlighting?) to my background image, and custom-colored the yellow oval layer (it started off white). Pretty straightforward card, but I like the results!
Now how do you win that $10 Gift Certificate to the store today? Easy! Leave a comment on each DT member's blog post for today. That's it! For each person that leaves a comment on ALL the DT members' blogs, you will be entered in to the random drawing to win!

Now, if you are arriving here from Allison's blog you're right on track! If not, then head back over to the
LPS store blog to start from the beginning. Make sure you don't miss any blogs along the way!

Your next stop on the hop is DT Mama Pam! Hope you have fun hoppin' with us today! :) Check back with us tomorrow for Day 2 of the April Previews and another chance to win a $10 Gift Certificate to the store.
